Oh I love those videos - just the sound of the cars is exciting. DC certainly deserves a decent car chase in his run of films, which we were teased with in the opening of 'QOS', and this could be the one to deliver!

Picture it: A young couple in love, eating a lovely pasta dinner at a sidewalk cafe in Rome.. The scene is very Lady and The Tramp like with romantic music, wine and candles... All of a sudden...VROOOM!! Bond's Aston Martin and the Jaguar go zooming by so close that the waiter serving the pasta, spills the dish all over the unfortunate lady, who then has a meltdown like the poor bride from the bayou wedding in LALD when the boat crashes into the tent and ruins her wedding cake. The boyfriend ends up spilling his glass of chianti ( the RED kind!) all over his Armani suit and shakes his fist in anger after the rapidly disappearing vehicles.

The control on the C-X75 is beautiful. The DB10 swerves when it takes the turning, the Jaguar grips the road like a pro!

Indeed, but also, as a point, Bond is running wild because he's being pursued. He's leading and having to keep an eye on the road as well as on his pursuer. The Jag is just following and it gives the driver more time to anticipate and correct. If you've ever raced on the road or a kart track and been in the lead, that's what it's like. If Bond was in pursuit, it would be much the same IMO.

 

Regardless, it's going to go down as one of the most remembered chases in the series based on what we've seen.

Having the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica as a backdrop looks stunning. This should be fantastic.

Nice catch! So it looks fairly clear that Bond manages to put some distance between him and Hinx, before getting stuck behind the slow Fiat. Should inject a nice bit of humour, and a change of pace, into the chase.

Thought I'd have prefered it if it were an old classic Fiat 500, rather than the modern ones.

I like that. I think the race can show Bond has the slight edge over Hinx as a driver, but other factors level the playing field.
