Here's an article from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung describing three nights of shooting in Rome, including an exciting chronicle of the scene of 007 landing with a parachute onto the Sisto bridge that escaped the attention of the Italian media:

Can any German native speaker report the entire article? Thanks in advance.

Used this rather interesting machine translation as a basis (if nothing else, it makes all this translating business a bit faster for me). It gives away details on the ending of the car chase and also a bit on the Aston's gadgetry...
Three nights with James Bond
Daniel Craig and his crew have been keeping Rome busy for three weeks now. A view at the shooting of SPECTRE, which involves lots of stunt cars, including - exclusively for Bond - the new Aston Martin DB10
Night 1: Artist district Trastevere, just after midnight. The day goes, 007 comes. Near the historic Ponte Sisto bridge across the Tiber, Daniel Craig exits from a white Range Rover. The location is strictly cordoned off, as if it were a state visit. Mike is hanging five metres above the ground. He is one of several stunt doubles and is secured with two thin steel ropes by a crane. Scene 59A /. 5 “Motore, motore! Camera is rolling. “For the fifth time, Mike aka 007 is lowered to the ground like a puppet on a string, it’s Bonds landing after a parachute jump. After a while Daniel Craig takes over – for the close-ups. The parachute's control cables will later be added digitally for the final movie. Because Craig had his knee injured in a fight scene a while ago, he won't be pulled up in the air, but remain on solid ground.
Cameras are running, Craig squats as if he just landed, then walks away. This small scene in the film is the ending of a breakneck car chase, which has been staged in Rome by a crew of 300, with an impressive effort. This is a classic movie duel. Man against man, machine against machine. Ex-wrestler Dave Bautista plays Mr. Hinx, villain Oberhauser's (Christoph Waltz) right-hand man. Hinx is in a Jaguar C-X75, chasing Bond’s new Aston Martin DB10 through the Eternal City – past Bernini’s colonnade at the St. Peter’s Square, into winding streets, along the steep Tiber embankments and sliding down some stairs.
What is under the sleek body design?
Night 2: Rome, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II - silence on the usually very busy main street by 10 PM. Only the city gulls are circling and screaming above the apparently deserted road. On the roadside, stewarts have been psoitioned with a distance of 100 metres away from each other. In their hands, they hold red warning lights that look like light sbres from “Star Wars”. Then a call on the lodspeaker: “Attenzione!” - Here they come, two "alpha male" vehicles: Rooooaaaaar! The distinctive engine sound of an Aston Martin at full acceleration, mixed with the sound of a 500-hp Jaguar sports car roar along the Corso. And then, they appear in sight: A metallic gray shiny Aston Martin DB 10 thunders with about 160 km / h over the boulevard, right behind is the futuristic Jaguar "cat-of-prey flatfish", sporting an aggressive “burnt orange” colour, both being pursued by a matte black Mercedes ML AMG camera car. At the Piazza San Pantaleo Aston suddenly breaks andtakes a screeching drifts to a left turn, the Jaguar right behind, they go around a monument and then slide dangerously close to the barriers at the roadside were spectators and police are standing.
A quick countersteering and maximum impact of the brakes – “Cut!” – The stunt drivers go back to Largo Tassoni, the base camp, with the car doors open. There are five identical looking Jaguar C-X75 next to four DB10, only 10 of which were built exclusively for the new Bond movie. Under the sleek design of the bodywork, there's an “old” Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.7-liter V8 engine. And what about the special equipment, the gadgets? “Certo, ci sono! Of course there is! “ whisperes Ilario, the chairman of the well-informed Italian Bond fan club. “The DB10 has four special buttons and a joystick next to the handbrake!” whispers he, “but I won't tell you what they're for!”
Night 3: Piazza Americo Capponi, Borgo Pio. Michele Sbardelatti is overjoyed. "Fantastico! Such beautiful cars, such wonderful engines." The motorsport fan is close to the action as an extra. The long hours of waiting in a pizzeria on set doesn't bother him. "Today and tomorrow, I get paid 100 euros rent for my car." Michele's private car has been rented as "parked car" on the spot, as backdrop for another stunt in Rome which will be seen by millions of moviegoers on the big screen starting November 5th. On screen: Two British supercars and Michele's car, a light blue 2008 Renault Clio, 1.2 liter, 75 hp with full service history.

All of which tends to suggest perhaps the ejector seat has been updated to eject Bond (with 'chute) as opposed to his passenger - if we are to assume Bond is actually driving the Aston as well.
...which in turn suggests that gadgetry is now invented that, by its very nature, will mean kit is Not expected to be returned from the field in one piece. Poor old Desmond.

Many thanks, Stromberg. I would have thought there were more lines in the original German article describing what the author saw in the third night - that's why I asked for the full translation - but it appears the link I posted was reporting the full version instead.

This is just going to be brilliant. That's all I can say - Craig finally get's his deserved car-chase! I mean, the 'QOS' pre-title was brilliant but just didn't hit potential. This sequence however looks super.

For those that are interested in what the article says.
"Thanks city of Rome for your hospitality, you have been extraordinarily generous and helpful with your magnificent city. We thank the Mayor of Rome and all his staff, without their support this would not have been possible.
We also want to thank the Ministry culture and their new incentive that is bringing cinema in Italy and that supports your wonderful culture."

It's a great gesture that the production the city of Rome and the Culture Ministry thanked with the full-page newspaper ad. I have it installed in my current poster in Italian and English.

Don't really know where to put (and I don't really feel the need to start a new thread on it).
In the end credits of SPECTRE, there is a "Thank you" to Maria Grazia Cucinotta – the "Cigar Girl" from the TWINE pre-title sequence. I assume that it has to do with the Rome filming, that's why I'm posting it here. Anyone heard anything about this?

!
Gosh.
I have seen the film once and need to see it again, if only to see the Colonel Sun acknowledgement. This above, I was not aware of.
I have just returned from a drink with friends, one of whom has recently returned from Rome to say there was a huge billboard SPECTRE, Craig, Omega advert at the top of some steps. I thought this post above might have been that. Has anyone seen?

Err, didn't spot that. No idea.
Maybe she lives in the villa used for the Lucia Sciarra scenes or something like that.

Blimey. I can think of two reasons she would be a good tour guide.
She is Italian and she was a Bond girl.
Why what did you think I meant?

With her and Monica, the Italians really have a bevvy of beauties who encapsulate that exotic Bond girl look. It's a real shame neither were used more in their films.
