I think that having McGann regenerating at the end of one of the specials would be awesome. I wish that after that and before the end titles we could hear Eccleston say 'Fantastic!'.

That would be extraordinarily. I’ve always wanted to know the exact circumstances of the Eighth Doctor's regeneration into the Ninth.

I think that the eight's regeneration had something to do with the Medusa Cascade (we will hear about that on episodes 12 and 13). I don't think he killed all Daleks a la Rose in Parting of the Ways.

By the way, I can't see BBC videos...I don't really understand why are they UK only, they could get more audience if they weren't so...'like that'.

There is a 1 minute preview of ep 12 in our favourite Tube, and if that video is what I suposse (the 2ºnd trailer, featuring Davros welcoming the Doctor to his new Dalek empire) then there's nothing else new.

Check this:

Thanks very much for this!

I think it's really cool that we've got a crossover with Torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures. Good stuff!

btw, I've been told that a certain Paul McGann may reappear on 2009's specials.

Oh, that is brilliant! About time he re-surfaced in some format and received more recognition. I simply can not wait to see this episode. He's the Lazenby of the Doctors - Laz never got a chance to return, McGann does! - truly MAGIC.

I was at a McGann panel discussion at a convention a few years back and he actually referred to himself as The Lazenby of the Doctors.

I'd love to see him just play the Doctor one more time. I love his Big Finish audio drama's, but it's not quite the same.

Sorry- the public in the UK pay for the BBC directly, so until they choose to show it overseas themselves, it's for us only.

I believe that the BBC channel on Bebo may allow overseas viewers to see their clips, however.

Davros is played by Julian Bleach this time. He has already appeared on a Torchwood episode (the one with the circus thing from the second season).

It seems like Mickey and Martha will join the Torchwood team for the third season, which could be aired on BBC One.

And a little spoiler for ep 13

I know we're way behind here in the US, but I just watched the second part of The Library last night. Really excellent. That Steven Moffet is some kind of genius.

Oh Yes, Moffet is a genious! That second part was quite chilling. I'm so glad that he's head writer for the 2009 specials and the fifth series.

I think Davies is the show runner for the specials and then Moffat takes over for series five in 2009 and a new Doctor... did I say that out loud?

Two words for you....

Not sure about that one.

The companion you allude to is part of THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES and hence doing an end of season stint with Sarah Jane. It is not meant to be ADRIC.

MICKEY and MARTHA JONES are probably not part of TORCHWOOD Season 3. The five-part series for 2009 will run every night for a week and be a dramatic departure for the show (bearing in mind how Season Two ended).

I was just comparing what is gonna happen to one of the Doctor's companions with Peter Davison's Adric. I haven't seen anything from the Sarah Jane Adventures

About Mickey and Martha, it's unconfirmed, but people are talking about this as a possible chance of happening (Martha has already appeared in Torchwood).

Mharkin007, I told you is back too  And I haven't seen the episode yet, but what you said about Harriet...it may confirm something for ep 13 too...

Mharkin you make sure that you keep me informed and post another link as to what happens next week! I WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO NOT! We are very behind on the Dr Who series here in Malta and I stumbled across this thread by accident and out of sheer curiosity played your link. Apart from the fact that I have just :tup:ed up the whole series(It was worth it so don't worry  ) and the fact that I couldn't stop bleedin' crying when the Dr found Rose again, I am dying, yes dying, to learn what happens to the Dr. So, again, please keep me informed by linking what happens on this thread.

Thank you in advance :(

Either Russell Davies and his crew will have pulled off the most extraordinary coup in Britsih TV history by replacing and filming a new Doctow without anyone knowing, and while still having the previous Doctor play along by confirming he was staying on...

Or he will have incured the wrath of Whovians all over the world by demeaning the concept of Regeneration by having Tennant-Who contrive tio survive it.

I suspect the latter. I don't think the former is achieveable, and there was too much emphasis on the hand and Tennat saying "I regenerating". I mean, no kidding...?

And who would replace a popular who like Tennant if he was willing to stay on, and introduce a new Who right bang into the action in the middle of a double episode surrounded by many old friends unfamiliar with the "new" character...
