Haha! I tell you, if it does, I'll have to find out her contact!
Apparently she read it on Caro's "blog" that she is recording the new James Bond film theme but I've seen NOTHING so far.
*shakes head*
This is so embarrassing.

I've had a search, the closest I can find is people calling for her to sing the Bond theme because one of her songs is suitably Bondian.
Couldn't see anything Bond related on her official site, but it was only a fleeting search.

Does SP mean SPECTRE or is it an abbreviation for something musical?
I think the song will be titled "Spectre", or "Spectre of (something)".

Given that the artist is already "locked in," it's surprising that we haven't gotten firm confirmation as to who the singer is from any quarter.
The leading candidate, per the rumors, is Sam Smith. A curious choice, if he is the one.

I hope it's not him. I can't stand his voice - he's just the male version of Adele and it'll be too similar to 'Skyfall'. They may as well just have got Adele back, unless this is a cheap replacement and the next best thing.
And as he can only do ballads, it seems the Craig films are turning into big, bombastic ballad led films for the dramatic, tense narrative featured.

I hope it's not Smith as well, but I think it's fairly clear at this point that he's the one they've signed up. All of the other rumors at the time the Smith one was floated out there proved to be true (Waltz, Belucci, SPECTRE, etc.), so I'm working under the assumption that it's Smith until they, hopefully, announce otherwise.

Kerli, the girl who did the Quantum of Solace (videogame) theme wouldn't be bad. I wouldn't mind Adele again.
My brother keeps mentioning a girl called Paloma Faith but God, she sings horrible.

Something akin to "Live and Let Die" would be nice. It is haunting, yet upbeat and fast-paced.

For some reason, Foo Fighters comes to mind for a theme like this. Maybe for a future film

Or maybe never. As much as I like David Grohl, he isn't suited for Bond songs.

Fair enough. I think he could pull it off, though.

More tabloid rumours about Adele, suggesting she's been in Los Angeles this week to discuss ideas for the theme:

Gotta love that sentence: "A spokesman for Adele declined to comment, while a spokeswoman for Spectre did not respond to requests.

"No comment" - SPECTRE spokeswoman

I've noticed the Adele rumours circulating. Much as I liked the song "Skyfall" - and I did, it's now a very firm favourite with me among the Bond themes - might not back to back Bond themes with the same performer suggest lack of imagination and a desire to remind the audience of what's gone before? ("Spectre"? Just like "Skyfall" folks, right down to the theme tune and the vocalist.)
That said, what's gone before as a style often crops up in these theme tunes, even if sung by different artistes. And, if I'm honest, I'm not that enthusiastic about any of the names so far mentioned in the red tops and elsewhere as successors to Adele. So, if she did come back in "Spectre" I for one would be content. After all, "back to back" could have happened as early as 1965 with TB - Shirley Bassey and "Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", and I can't imagine the fans and cinema audiences would have been that bothered.
There. I've just talked (typed?) myself out of the point I raised in my first paragraph.

I think the old expression goes "If it ain't broke..."
