All valid points, my point though is that Days of Futures Past looks to be doing just way way too much. But we'll see, maybe they can pull it together make the film more Avengers vs. Spidey 3.

Also, new Iron Man 3 trailer.

I know not to many people are on board for Iron Man 3 yet but I'm looking forward to it.

That won't happen. They need Stark for Avengers 2. But this trailer def makes me excited for IM3. Ben Kingsley seems to be very good as Mandarin. Wonder if he can become Marvel's Joker (one of the only good things from TDK).

The posters for 'Iron Man 3' are eminating the Raimi 'Spiderman' films more and more with these dramatic head turning, puffed out chest, danger surrounding them poses. Still not won over by 'Iron Man' in general, but these trailers do give a big 'The Dark Knight Rises' / super-hero sacrifice vibe.

Still have yet to see the new trailer. Guess that really shows my interest in the film then.

Well, think of every modern superhero trailer cliche:

- Slow motion shots of people walking/moving around
- Explosions
- Shots of worried/determined looking faces fading into eachother
- A bleak musical introduction
- A rousing musical finale
- A moral speech by the hero
- A threatening speech by the villain
- A fearful speech by the female
- The hero looking beaten and at his lowest
- A heroic final statement by said hero
- CGI action
- More explosions (in slow motion)
- Fast action editing
- A CGI money shot at the end

That's pretty much the trailer. :)

Superhero movies are a cliche in general, but I still love them! I am pretty excited for Ironman 3 just because I love Robert Downy Jr in the role of Tony Stark. I am excited for the sequel to Spiderman, but I really don't approve of the casting of Mary Jane so I hope that surprises me. I loved X-Men First Class, it is the only X-Men film that I really enjoy so I hope they don't mess with the sequel to much.

I have to be honest, I was surprised at the casting of Woodley as MJW, but it's still 100 x better than Kirsten Dunst. I actually dont think they should have thrown MJW into this next movie, but I'm glad they've gone a little more low key.

X-Men -DOFP is one I am REALLY looking forward to;

some rumors floating that Singer will be at SDCC with footage; cant wait for that.

Kirsten Dunst wasn't a problem until SM3, when she just looked completely bored the whole time. She was fantastic in SM1 and even looked like MJ. That said, I am also not a fan of Shalaine Woodley's casting. My guess is she'll have a relatively small part in TASM2 as Gwen Stacy is killed off and then MJ will have a central role in TASM3. As for DOFP, I am being cautiously optimistic. First Class is by far my favorite X-Men movie, I just hope they don't royally screw this one up as it seems what they are creating is extremely complicated. I am also fully expecting DOFP to rival TDKR for run time.

Really? I loved Kristen Dunst as Mary Jane! I thought she was perfect, and as said as it is to see, I am really sad that they will kill off Gwen Stacy.. I mean I hope they don't but I am 90% positive that they will.

Well you know what happened in the Comic Books right?

Yeah I do know what happens in the comics, so I understand that she does get killed off but that doesn't mean they have to go that route.

And they may not, they may want to keep the love triangle going beyond one pic; I REALLY liked Emma Stone and I'll be disappointed if she doesn't make it into a 3rd movie;

I'm not a huge fan of the Raimi pics overall, I think both TM & KD were mis-cast. Compared to the other franchises of the last decade or so, I think Raimi's trilogy falls well below Nolan's Batman pics and Singer's X-Men movies (1+2) along with all of Marvels phase one efforts. in fact the only major comic book movies I enjoyed less this last decade were the awful FF pics, the dreadful Catwoman, the 2 weak X-Men pics (Last Stand & Wolverine) and Ang Lee's horrible take on the Hulk....

Haha oh that Hulk movie.............. and Daredevil can't forget that one! I did really like the casting of Emma Stone, I think she just fit the role perfectly. I didn't mind Raimi's trilogy, I mean I liked the first Spiderman a lot. The second one was even better, it was the third one that was a huge let down for me.

Definitely agree there. I think many people (unfairly) group SM3 in with the first 2, which should be a crime. The first two are classics and should be a template for how to make a great superhero movie. Personally, I think the Marvel phase 1 movies were hit or miss and I never really cared for the X-Men films. Also, SM1 and SM2 are loads better than any of the Nolan Batman films. Here's how I would rank the comic book superhero films since 2000's X-Men:

1. Spiderman (2002)

2. Spiderman 2 (2004)

3. Iron Man (2008)

4. The Punisher (2004)

5. Batman Begins (2005)

6. The Avengers (2012)

7. X-Men: First Class (2011)

8. V for Vendetta (2005)

9. Punisher: War Zone (2008)

10. X2: X-Men United (2003)

11. Kick-Ass (2010)

12. Hellboy (2004)

13. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

14. The Amazing Spiderman (2012)

15. Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)

16. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

17. Thor (2011)

18. Iron Man 2 (2010)

19. X-Men (2000)

20. The Dark Knight (2008)

21. Hulk (2003)

22. The Green Hornet (2011)

23. The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

24. Watchmen (2009)

25. Daredevil (2003)

26. Ghost Rider (2007)

27. Superman Returns (2006)

28. X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

29. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)

30. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012)

31. Fantastic Four (2005)

32. Green Lantern (2011)

Unranked are Catwoman, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Elektra, all of which I haven't seen, but would probably rank at the bottom.

Kick-Ass 1 is much better than I thought it would be. Chloe Grace Moritz is excellent (despite only being 13 in it). Jim Carrey looks like he will steal the show in the second one.

Does not seem like Ryan Reynolds will be doing The Justice League, the Green Lantern sequel or the Deadpool film as of yet. [1]

Possibly a couple of THE most boring, cheap, un-inspired, naff posters for a recent film of memory. And there's nothing X-Men or mutant-ish about this guy on here now. Please stop.

This seems so far removed from the X-Men canon now, I find it hard to relate it to anything about the X-Men bar the name of the character he plays.
