Guy Pierce looks bad ass in that movie poster. I am definitely excited for that movie.

Me to I know Iron Man 2 wasn't received that well but I have high hopes for this one. I thought the airplane stunt from the trailer looked cool and same with the destruction of his home.

Will there ever be a point in films, I presume super hero films, where big CGI sequences and action no longer win us over as it's been done before?
We know it's like watching a cartoon with no real danger, and we still identify OTT moments and sheer CGI trickery to give big scenes and obivous style and flare....but will there be a point when that becomes stale?
Only watching that 'Iron Man 3' trailer, the home of Stark getting destroyed just looks like someone has gone to work on the CGI destruction to be as dramatic as possible, and the Air Force One crash again is pretty to look at, but it's nothing new and not exactly "ground-breakingly thrilling"
Just a thought, mind you.

Not when Michael Bay can create a film with absolutely ZERO plot, but 2 1/2 hours worth of explosions and still make $1 billion.....basically what I'm saying is that I hate Transformers 3.

Good point seawolf...I think I'm just not a big fan of that CGI noise. I wonder how he will work 'Transformers 4'. Not that I care about those films.

Based on every other movie he's ever made? Not well. Transformers 1 isn't bad, but that's it. Bay has royally f*%^ed up every other movie he's ever made. Don't even get me started on the train wreck that is Pearl Harbor.

...and don't forget his now casting of Megan Fox in the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' re-boot....or as it's just known, 'Ninja Turtles'.
Is that our April O'Niel? What a way to continue to butcher a much-loved franchise.

Wow Megan Fox being cast in Ninja Turtles? Interesting considering how she called Michael Bay hitler..

Looks like Michael Bay has taken her off the Hollywood blacklist haha.

This new article claim's Bryan Singer will us the time travel to "repair" what happened in THE LAST STAND, which reinforces my theory we mightl see Xavier, Cyclops and maybe Jean again. [1]

I think TASM2 suit looks more like the comic book incarnation than the one from TASM1.

Well that all sounds interesting...especially the 'Days Of Future Past' news.

I am not that big of a fan of Fantastic Four personally, but whatever. I am excited for the Amazing Spiderman but I am not really a fan of the casting of Mary Jane.. so I am hoping that the casting choice surprises me.

Chris Cooper isn't the only one cast in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', Shailene Woodley has also been cast in the film as Mary Jane Watson
On-Set Pic: She's certainly very cute and looks the part more than Kirsten Dunst did in the original trilogy.

^ I kind of think the same. I mean I was shocked that they cast her just because I had many other actresses in mind that they could have chose but they chose her. I mean I might be pleasantly surprised so I don't know.

Maybe she's being cast to make that Hollywood "cute movie couple" with Garfield's clean cut image?
I can't comment really as I've not seen 'TASM' but I will at some point.

I'm not overly excited for Shailene Woodley. I actually liked Kirsten Dunst in SM1 and SM2.
As a side note to our British friends- Why was The Avengers called 'Avengers Assemble' over there?

I believe it was changed to 'Marvel Avengers Assemble' to avoid any confusion with the 1960s spy show and 1998 flop film 'The Avengers'.
The 60s spy serial starred Bond's own Diana Rigg, Honor Blackman and Patrick Macnee, and the horrid film remake starred Bond alumni Ralph Fiennes and Sean Connery (as the villain August de Wyntre who wanted to control the weather...yes, I know!) .
Hence the change for the UK and Ireland.

Yeah same I liked Kristen Dunst a lot! She is the perfect image of Mary Jane.

I never liked Kristen Dunst, just not my cup of tea. I was just thinking Emma Stone would have made an alright Mary Jane, she has the hair anyway.

I should've picked up on that and didn't. Even still, I don't think it was necessary to change the title. I'd like to think most people would be able to easily figure out the difference between Diana Rigg's Avengers and Robert Downey Jr.'s.

I think 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' should be renamed 'X-Men: Greatest Hits'
Halle Berry has confirmed she is back as Storm in the new movie! Possibly the only role she's done in which she's not annoying.

You can put it that way, but SP3 was just overall a terrible script and a terrible story-arc that was chosen. It should have focused on Harry getting revenge, the Symbiote, and Eddie Brock/Venom. No love triangle, no Sandman, no Gwen Stacy.
