Just realized I had that line reversed.
*Innocent until proven guilty*. Up for 20 hours will do that to you.
Thanks, SAF!

Since Superman vs Batman: DOJ is delayed until 2016.......this was be a great opportunity to work on the script so it polish and solid since I sure DC want the movie to be successful like The Avengers

(Congrats Ace!)
And yes - please, studios, take heed - Singer directs pretty much the films that launched the comic book adaptation obsession 14 years ago and then proves he can direct material 7 films in by making the highest grossing X-Men film to date.
If they don't keep him it'd be a disaster. These "allegations" clearly haven't dampened movie-goers spirits for supporting and enjoying the film.

What about this news from Marvel - a radical shakeup or what!

I wonder what this will spell for future incarnations in film too...

Chris Hemsworth will finally be able to stop eating chicken every meal of the day to buff up.

Hemsworth and Evans both have pretty brutal diets and work out regimines. Interesting news.
True. Interestingly, most people think that you can achieve that kind of body just through exercising and weight lifting.
Posted 16 July 2014 - 01:21 PM
I wonder if she will be part of the future film canon or they will keep Hemsworth as long as possible..?
Posted 16 July 2014 - 04:44 PM
they did a similar thing in the 80s. there was a character named Beta Ray Bill who was able to take Thor's hammer and use the power of Thor. it's just a gimmick, a year or so from now the storyline will be over.
as for weightlifting....well it isn't easy putting on muscle, particular in your 40s like Hugh Jackman, there are lots of rumors about that stuff in hollywood.

so apparently Steve Roger aka Captain American is being replaced by Sam Wilson aka Falcon.......in the comics

What a shake-up Marvel are doing...!
Posted 18 July 2014 - 10:46 AM
I can imagine this will happen in the third movie as well. Chris Evans did say that he wanted to quit acting.
Posted 22 July 2014 - 03:23 PM
It's just a gimmick they do in the comics. Like the last couple of years Doctor Octopus took over Spider-Man's body and literally he was Spider-Man for all that time. They had the Government strip Captain America of his title in the 80s and had a different guy playing the role for a year or so. Eventually they go back to the original. I don't think it will mean a thing for the current movies. It gets publicity in the media and they hope a bunch of people run and buy comic books.

Seems the movies and comics will be a separate universe for now according to Marvel and the recent sex-change of Thor...

I wasn't really worried about Chris Hemsworth being replaced. I wouldn't mind actually if Anthony Mackie took over as Captain America. He is awesome and he seems to be enjoying himself in the marvel franchise.

Hmm.. I dig it.

Can't complain at all.
Probably looks even MORE like he's ripped from the comic books than any other interpretation actually. Really love the emotion and tone from just that headshot. Brilliant.
Looks like we're going to get another real Dark Knight.

I like what I've seen thus far about this film, at least when Batman is concerned. Affleck looks good in the two shots we have of him in the costume, and he's a decent enough actor to pull it off. The problem with the film is still that it's a follow-up to the decidedly mediocre Man of Steel and is made by, more or less, the same creative team.
At this point, I'm just hoping that 2019 gets here soon enough for Affleck to launch his solo Batman franchise, hopefully pulling double-duty as both star and director.

I really hope Cavill gets the chance he deserves as Superman alongside Batman, because Affleck and Cavill will make a really good pairing I reckon.
As you say, hopefully the creative team will have learnt from the mistakes of the past and improve on what they've started to give them both the film they deserve to represent the two greatest super-heroes of all time.
Wow - saying that and picturing them both together on film still is pretty darn exciting...!
