Following on with my new thinking here, do you think they might be looking at this as a way to potentially brand Bond gaming beyond "007." Kind of like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto, if this game is a huge success, might we next see GoldenEye: Bloodstone, GoldenEye: Streets of Monaco (racing game), and so fourth? Explains why Craig would be used in this first game, even though it's conceptually a little odd.I should really lay off. I admit I'm not gamer, so I'm not seeing the positive gaming aspects to this. I'm looking at this as a fan of the Bond universe, the continuing adventures of 007 in book, film, comics, and games, and after EoN, I feel like a Bond game can also be a great addition to the Bond mega canon. The very nature of this (from what we know so far) kinda keeps it from being that. But maybe that's the intent. Maybe they don't want it to represent any kind a new Bond story or continuation. They want it to represent pure Bond gaming at its best. And that is what "GoldenEye" means.
Ok, I've got my head around it now.
(Now, this all sounds ghastly if you ask me. Just wondering if this is the new thinking in the Bond gaming world. Everyone loves a "brand"!)
