It really does reopen that can of worms, doesn't it? Doesn't help that they seem to hiding Craig in the marketing. Dare I saw he feels like...a substitute?I have read a few people here and many people upset on Yahoo that Brosnan is being replaced by Craig in the game. The thing people need to realize is that they probably don't have the legal rights to use Brosnan's likeness in the game.
It's also possible that they contacted Brosnan to try and get him involved and he told them to sod off
Looked at the yahoo comments. Wow, is it 2005 in there? Couldn't find one critic of Craig who was able to string a basic sentence together. Sample :
"Daniel Craig will never be a Bond like Pierce Brosan"
Truer words were never spoken

New GoldenEye this November

Fanboys of that era only know Brosnan as Bond, heaven forbid ANYONE replaces him aside from Sir Sean. Poor Dan just can't catch a break can he? The most talented actor we've ever had in that dinner jacket and he doesn't even get the opportunity to enjoy it. I feel bad for him.

But, again, if the game play is great, guess all this doesn't matter.

Yeah, I think there's quite a bit of that going on for me, too.I might also just be bitter on account of owning an Xbox instead.

Well xbox has got Perfect Dark which is perhaps the most genuine candidate for GE2, the facility map is in there somewhere I believe, although no Bond avatar of course.

Feels like they're acting out a conversation that might have happened in 2002.Are FPS players really that stupid?

2010. You would think they implement better graphics. Shame.
It's for Nintendo Wii. I don't think good graphics exist on that.

The introduction to this trailer is quite laughable. Are FPS players really that stupid?
Yes.

I thought the Wii had a (very) few titles with pretty good graphics. Maybe they could have done more for this version of Goldeneye......

And rather than sniping the soldiers at the end of the tunnel, you now jump in a truck with 006. This truck sequence adds a new action-packed sequence to the level, where 006 drives the truck and you madly kill soldiers along the way.
Not good.

Next up, a soldier jumps onto the side of the truck and opens the door to try and pull you out, allowing you to kick him out and watch him come to a brutal stop as his body smashes into a passing concrete wall.

Good.
But I don't like this being a "modernized" version of the original, dammit! I want a Daniel Craig remake of the original. With better graphics, but the same missions and some new missions, but based in 1995 and with the Cold War setting!

Game Informer really liked it, says the graphics are great and it's hard to believe it's a Wii game.

I'm more concerned that it is going to be Call of Duty: Bond Edition, which by all accounts it looks to be. I'm sure it'll still be fun, but it won't be the GoldenEye 64 we all know and love.

I'm pretty open to the idea of Craig's Bond in GoldenEye (not trying to bash Brosnan) because of the current situation regarding Bond 23, and possibly the future of the series. Craig in this GoldenEye game will probably be the closest thing we get to a third Craig film. At least until the current mess is sorted out which doesn't offer much hope right now.

I'm Honestly happy about it.This, along with the new Donkey Kong and Zelda games, has really got me thinking about getting a Wii. Hmm.

I loved Goldeneye and I love Daniel Craig so I'd love them combined

There are massive expectations which are both worrying and exciting for us, and we know that this game has to be as innovative and ground-breaking as that first title was.

Anybody would transcript me what the hell are they saying? They speak so fast all I could understand was "Shooters of all time", "Set the standards for new videogames", "After 134 years of game innovation a new Goldeneye is coming".

I'm sure for those of you who like the game, it'll be nice to play the game again with sharper graphics, but to me that's a really cheap trick.
The worst thing is that Craig was probably contractually obliged to be in this game. How could he possibly be enthusiastic about robbing another Bond actor's performance?

I don't think Arnold has scored a Bond game. Sean Callery scored Everything or Nothing, and Christopher Lennertz scored Quantum of Solace and the From Russia With Love game. I wonder what Arnold can do with it.

I'm happy.GoldenEye 64 was just a little bit too advanced for me when it was released (I was only 8 at the time), so I can't say much in the way of how good or bad the game was, but the idea of replacing a former Bond actor with a current one in one of his established Bond films seems a bit cheap to Brosnan.

And I wonder how Brosnan feels about stealing a film meant for Dalton?

You can hear a sample of it there on the website.
I'm pretty confident of Arnold doing a great score for the game... his style matches a video game better than the movies.
That might be right, though why couldn't they go with Eric Serra?

I dunno. Maybe if he starred in Licence to Kill, you could ask him.
