Now that 'AWTD' has leaked, what do you think?

I absolutely love it! It's raw and has a great energy. And I think it's VERY Bond!

Stating the obvious I know, but that's the great thing about music. The only thing I could say for certain about this song is that it would be someone's favourite and also someone's least favourite track! There will be someone out there in the big wide world who genuinely wanted a hip-hop collaboration between Eminem and Celine DionI think it's funny that we got people who think this is the worst song of them all, and other, who put it up on #1!

I´m worried about the score for this movie because that track will not be incorporated into the score and I feel the movie will suffer greatly from that as it might just come across as another Axtion movie and not a Bond movie

Yeah, right. C´mon, get a grip on yourself. While the melody probably won´t be integrated into the score, how can this make the movie suffer?
This song may not be everyone´s cup of tea (although the whole song remains unknown at this point anyway). But a song has never stopped me from liking a Bond movie.
Really, what´s with all these hysterical reactions? Why only: If I don´t like this bit, then everything sucks!

Yeah, but 1) they're not whinging incessantly as if they could force anything to be changed, and 2) White and Keys have music as well. And 3) I actually like it because I'm not so concerned with nit-picking eveything to pieces that I decide which side of the fence I'm going to land on before I've even had a chance to jump.A bit like Jack White and Alicia Keys, then.which is basically just going to invovle making a hell of a lot of noise

The 41 fans who voted "I like it" have no reason to be worried about QOS. I am pretty sure they will like it (no matter how the film turns out).Really, what´s with all these hysterical reactions? Why only: If I don´t like this bit, then everything sucks!

You mean "Kashmir" ? I don't think so, but it's true this song is a bit "rapped", with a result similar to Puff Daddy rapping on Led Zeppelin's Kashmir.
Yes, it was Kashmir, but I think the cover by P Diddy feat. J Page in Godzilla wan titled Come to me

cant wait to see it in the titles. I already like it better than YKMN.

It works. I noted it would divide fans and it should. Confidence in a Bond song does not always denote brass and torch song warbling. It also marks a development from the cock rock masculinity of YOU KNOW MY NAME to a lady-infused duet indicative of the film and its story arcs.
Though I did think we were starting off "in a puddle on the floor" at one point there. Thank God we didn't though as both the Lulu and unused Alice Cooper THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN tracks are heavily homaged as an Eminem barrage of lyrics bombard you instantly and get in the title lyric without trying (not easy).
This will do well in the charts. And I haven't felt that for a long while with our Bond ditties. The song doesn't take itself too seriously and has a courage to it - one that could almost have let the song get away with sharing the film's title.

(I actually liked the Devil May Care song better. Serious.)
That's the worst Bond song ever. And may even be one of the worst songs ever.

Indeed, although in a weird way I can actually imagine Bassey covering this song, rather like she did that version of "I'm Coming Up", or whatever it's called. "Another Way to Die" is, among other things, deliciously camp, as, of course, the majority of Bond songs are. The good ones, anyway.

I feel like the only person on earth who hasn't heard this
You're in good company, I haven't either. Yesterday I left my house and came back too late.

Yes, I absolutely agree with that; I'll never understand that choice.
A friend of mine put it rather well: he said the melody's not great (but not bad) but it's less dad-rock than YKMN.
It is a proper rock song, whereas YKMN just wasn't- it was a film composer's idea of rock.

And thats' bad? These are FILMS after all. Let's leave 'proper rock' to Bruckheimer.

No; he's a movie producer. Let's leave proper rock to rock musicians. Which is what they've done here, and it works.

It's totally Bond for me as well; the Bond tone of voice is there in spades; it's overblown, serious sounding; everything. I can't think what's missing. I can't be bothered to look back but I bet you'll find loads of people saying YKMN isn't a Bond song the day after they first heard it.
It's a Bond song, it's a rock song. Good stuff.

i'm putting in a vote for reserving judgment until i see it with the titles, or at least until i hear a better version of this song, and the complete song at that!

I also like the truncated description of Bond's situation at the start of the film in the chorus:
I'm gonna let it open (? Can't make out that first bit),
A woman walking by,
A drop in the water,
A look in the eye,
A phone on the table,
A man on your side,
A someone that you think that you can trust,
Another way to die.

It's OK. Not the best thing I've ever heard on first listen but leagues better than YKMN, which is not hard I suppose. Not bad at all.
Does anyone else have trouble hearing the words 'Robert Mugabe' in anything but a really strong Welsh accent since Gavin & Stacey?

I wouldn't have even listened it this many times if I didn't love it. After reading of the lyric transcription (thank you for those) I've also started to appreciate the lyrics. First this wasn't the case.
So there it is. I love it! Bring on the full song...

Worst Bond song ever? I'm sorry, but if you think this is worse than DAD there's something wrong with you.THE WORST JAMES BOND SONG EVER... I AM SO SAD... I HAVE no WORDS... Babs and Michal are completelly crazy if they approved this piece of bad song writing... It'll flop in the charts and it will be remembered as another TRY ... BAD BAD BAD IT HURTS!
