Halo beats it hands down but GE is a classic.

I agree with that as well
------------------------------
I think GE was a classic, but at the same time, halo kills - bit of accidental humor there - compared to it

You have to take into account when the games were created.

not really because a crap load of first person shooters came out after GE like Perfect Dark but GE was still considered the best until halo came out. I think that GERA will give Halo 2 a run for its money but halo2 will win overall.

I was referring to the time difference between the games.

I'm positive GERA won't give Halo 2 a run for it's money. Halo 2 is way way way more anticipated than GERA. The only people I know who are anticipating GERA are on this site.

I doubt that, I think it's more than just Bond fans who have taken notice to this one.

Timothy Dalton. Damn shame we didn't get more from him.

Connery and Pierce are a close tied-for-second.

This is my order of preference. The top (favourite) and bottom are pretty permanent, the middle three are very interchangeable.

Connery - Pro: Believable action hero, good acting, plenty of charm. Effortlessly Bond. Con: None really. Less than impressive in DAFE.

Dalton - Pro: Tough, good actor, I liked his portrayal of Bond as tougher and meaner. Con: A bit lacking in the charm dept.

Brosnan - Pro: Looks and demeanour. Decent acting. Con: A bit like a walking mannequin sometimes; tries too hard to look cool.

Moore - Pro: Always a pleasure to watch as Bond. Bucket loads of charm. Con: Too much humour.

Lazenby - Pro: Looks, physique. Con: Poor acting.

Sean Connery and Roger Moore ARE James Bond.

The rest are just fellows who filled in for a bit.

I agree 100% Freemo!. :)

They were both sides of Bonds 'coin', and ever since then the coins faded into funny money. :)

Cheers Mate,

I look at Roger and Sean as great Bonds....

I look at Lazenby as an adequate Bond.

I look at Dalton as an ok Bond, sort of like Lazenby, but not as good.

I look at Brosnan as just a passable Bond. A worthy Bond, but nothing good.

Roger all the way for me,he's the man!

I think they all had there merit's but if i had to choose in order it would go like this-

1.Good ol' Rog - I love the charm and wit.I grew up watching Roger so he'll always be Bond to me :) .
2.Pierce Brosnan - A good all rounder but is sometimes in danger of being smarmy.
3.Sean Connery - Great Bond,he would be number 2 but i'm not totally in to all of this films.
4.George Lazenby - I love OHMSS,and i think he looked the part.
5.Timothy Dalton - The most belivable Bond to date, but low on the charm and charisma.

I voted for Dalton. I like all of them, so putting them in any particular order is kinda hard, but here goes:

1. Dalton
2. Connery
3. Lazenby
4. Moore
5. Brosnan

I'd like to add that I think it's sad that Brosnan is a good Bond, but his movies aren't good Bond movies.

Sean is tops to me. Always has been, always will be. The others I have to say I appreciate equally. OHMSS is a favourite, and for a guy who never acted before, Lazenby did well. The Moore films I simply never really tire of. He had many great moments: scene w/ Anya in hotel, kicking the car over the cliff, etc. Not to mention his trademark Moore-isms such as "I'm sure we'll be able to lick you into shape". Tim and Pierce are equally great. Dalton is closer to Fleming's Bond with the small exception that it's difficult to imagine him in the Bond Naval uniform. Must be his hairlength. PB was slick and smooth, and I am still sorry to see him go.
