Well, I have a new favorite for the part of Bond. A choice I never really liked before. I always thought he was too boyish and (frankly) too pretty to play Bond. But after looking at actors who are of the same age, I realized that he's so much better, more talented and charismatic than the actors of his generation. A big stumbling block for many is that he's about to make a name for himself as the Dark Knight, but this doesn't really bother me. He's the best man for the job, looks great, is young enough to stay around and he's an amazing actor. Who? Bale, Christian Bale.

I first came across Christian Bale in American Psycho, where he carried a magnificent portrayal of Patrick Bateman. As for Bond, apart from James D'Arcy, theres no-one i d rather see in the role, but i think he s heading for typecasting as the next Batman.

D'Arcy is an actor I suggested here a couple of months ago and eventhough I see in him tremendous potential, I still doubt he will grow into a better and more suitable candidate than Bale. Time will tell of course but with Bale I know he would be great. With D'Arcy, I think.

Hmmm.... no thanks. And I'm not with you on Wentworth Miller, either (that said, I'd much prefer him to Bale).

It's Clive Owen, Hugh Grant, Jack Davenport or Hugh Jackman for me (in that order), or no one. Well, not no one - I'd still watch the Bond flicks, but those are the only actors I'd be interested in (unless Connery or Dalton were to make a comeback, of course).

I did not vote for anyone in the poll.
Jackman, not suave enough... Owen, not appealing to ladies.
Yuck... I say, keep Brosnan until we find someone better.
Gruffudd is a bit young, but will be a fine Bond in a few more years.

I doubt Gruffudd will mature into the part. He's too short and hardly has any motion picture experience. I do agree that Owen doesn't look handsome enough to play Bond. As for Jackman, perhaps you're right, but I have faith that he can fake it. He did an impressive job as a New England duke in 'Kate & Leopold'. He does look the part though. And there's always Bale, Christian Bale.

He has the right resume (experience with action, romance, drama and comedy), the right profile (British, 6'2, dark hair), the right age (born in 1974, so young enough to play Bond for more than enough films) and he's just great.

I voted for Clive Owen.

Hugh Jackman would be such a terrible choice! James Bond would feel like White trash!

Amen,
And whats all this Christian Bale talk, he would be as bad a Jackman (He doesn't even look like 007.

Sure he made 7 movies, and I wasn't alive during his era, but I'm sure someone could've played it better than him, at least the ones from LALD to AVTAK. :)

Not enough actually!

I made the above flippant comment in response to all of the posts arguing that Bond should be either gay, black, or a woman. I suppose we could combine all 3 and see what kind of movie we would get.

I'm going with Clive Owen too. He looks the part and is actually English... now there's a novelty!!

As long as it's not Orlando Bloom... he's simply too young.

Pick Your favourite for Bond 21 or Bond 22

Of the current list I'd probably still pick Brosnan. Of the other candidates, only Jackman, Owen, Butler & West are realistic candidates (some more than others). The others are too short or not suitable (or both).

the only ones who give me that bond vibe are Dominic West, Colin Farrel Ralph Finnes and Pierce Brosnan oh and clive owen...any of those would be good bonds, escially Finnes and Owen.. lol but i'd just assume have brosnan...watch them pick none of these suspects for bond...how about Russel Crowe :) LOL
