Your forgot to put "In your opinion".

Also how do you know they 'wouldn't be considered?'
are you Wilson/Broccoli/MacWilliams?

Oh, come on, KC, you might as well be calling for Sylvester Stallone as Bond. Take Liotta, for example: not only is he American, ethnic - being (presumably) Italian American - and only two years off 50, he's put on quite a bit of weight over the past few years and wouldn't look convincing as a seducer and action man.

On top of all that, he's not even a big box office draw, so what possible reason would MGM/Eon have for considering him as Bond? Even Robbie Williams would be a much more realistic candidate than Liotta.

Well, no, but, come on, Ray Liotta as Bond? Fair enough if you want him - that's your opinion, and whether he's a realistic candidate is a separate question (I want Owen although I'm certainly not expecting him to be cast as 007) - but do you really think he'd be considered by MGM/Eon?

Oh, just use a computer generated James Bond (ala 'The Hulk')- no balding, no grey hair, no weight gain, no signs of aging. All the wit, charm, style and danger you can program.

Jude Law is tall enough to be the next bond. He only need to put on some muscles. And he's got those sexy eyes too. He could be the James Bond with James Dean charms. He is also known Worldwide.

If there are two "characters" who have nothing in common, it's James Dean and James Bond. Jude isn't tall enough. Bond should be around 6'2. Law is 5'10. Also, he's an Academy Award nominated actor who works with top directors like Steven Spielberg, Anthony Minghella, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Sam Mendes, Mike Nichols, David Cronenberg, Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood. Why would he sign on to a three picture deal just to play James Bond? Look at the amount of quality work he would throw away. And yes I know he is known worldwide, but not more so than Hugh Jackman. I'm sorry but Jude Law just wouldn't be a suitable and a realistic choice. Face it; he's physically the totally wrong type.

Hugh Jackman - Fan's Favourite for Next James Bond

Hugh Jackman has been voted by the members of CommanderBond.Net as their favourite to be the next James Bond. The Australian actor of British decent won with more than twice as many votes as his nearest competition Clive Owen ("Gosford Park"). Curious enough, the option 'None of the Above' received more votes than Owen, who hence came in third place.

After recent comments from Pierce Brosnan which indicate that 'Bond 21' may turn out to be his last Bond film, fans have been throwing names around furiously who would be up for the task. 40 percent thought Jackman would make the perfect replacement after Brosnan steps down.

22% didn't see any potential in the current favorites and voted the 'None of the Above' option. Brit Clive Owen took 18% of the votes for the third position. Coming in fourth place, Hollywood bad boy Colin Farrell ("Phonebooth") with 10% of the votes and Welshman Christian Bale ("American Psycho") received 8% off the votes coming in fifth. Jude Law ("The Talented Mr. Ripley"), who received the most votes after a similar survey from 'Radio Times', only took 2% of the votes whereas the winner of Amazon's Next Bond poll, Ralph Fiennes ("The English Patient"), was absent from CBN's list.

Hugh Jackman, most famous perhaps for his role in X-Men as Wolverine, has confirmed recently he would be more than happy to play James Bond once Pierce Brosnan retires from the series. When asked about rumours he'd be the next Bond Jackman said, "What guy wouldn't want to be James Bond". It looks like the fans have picked an actor who is more than willing to don the tux.

I've read in past Jackmanslanding.com and I was wonder, Hugh has to voted here, but we can't believe, where hint his nickname? *wondering,wondering,wondering......* AHHHHHH

I say bring back the sex in Bond. Look at Connery's posters ('Thunderball' comes to mind). Sex made Bond the man he is today (in more ways than one). :) Thanks for the kind words.

Very nice Crashdrive, perhaps a little..uh..well...maybe something more traditional(he looks like a gigilo!). I like Jackman as the next Bond. I really like him if he dyes his hair darker, as that pic suggests. With darker hair he is perfect. The debate might as well end.People forget he is a talented actor(broadway musicals) and not just a good looking guy...also a box office draw with mega star status on the way with 'Van Helsing'. The 007 series would be privilaged the have him.

Here's another attempt at fanart. This time though I replaced the sex appeal with a more straight forward/ down-to-earth quality. Let me know what you think.

Hey crashdrive,

That Jackman art you created certainly got my attention. Nice chest there, Hugh. :)

But I was much more impressed with your Jeremy Northam art. Yum! Too bad he's as old as he is. I think he looks fantastic.

My vote for the new Bond goes to Clive Owen
Although he doesn't enterially look the part, I feel he makes up with his acting abillity and his screen presence. And out of the list I think he's the only one who is (for the lack of a better word) cool enough to be Bond.

Adrian Paul's a good-looking guy but I just can't see him as Bond. Anything's possible of course, actors can surprise you.

I think he'll be even older
21 is coming 2005 so he'd be 45 then
and there'll probably be another 2 years for 22
so they can release it in 2007 so he'll be 47 then

I'm still not sure. Clive Owen -maybe. I think it's too early to tell. I wonder what EON will do to get the final list of choices. We'll just have to wait and see.
