Ah, so the cemetery location was necessary to the plot. Craig looks great. He's always put in solid performances but I'm really excited to see him this time. It's his fourth film and he will be very comfortable in the role. Very much the seasoned pro that Skyfall established.

Yes. And what an arch, right? From the blunt instrument, half monk, half hitman, to the suave and sophisticated spy. From the novice errors and hot headed agent in CR to the expert manipulator, still one heck of a wild card, double-0. It´ll be interesting to see all four films in a row and appreciate how comfortable Dan got in the role. I can still remember that first press conference with the chewing gum and long hair. From 2006 to 2015, nine years have flown by so fast. Still, awesome time to be a Bond fan.

Something about that top photo in the last batch has me really excited about the film. It's blatantly not Daniel Craig standing there; It's James Bond.

Could the man with his back to the camera be Rory Kinnear?

Whilst they have a similar bald spot, I think Kinnear's hair is shorter.

Also worth keeping an eye on the Italian Bond fan club, as they're on set today:

Looks like they're shooting on film, instead of digitally. Can't wait to see what images we'll get, when they release the teaser.

I don't think we see his face in this scene. So they're possibly using a double.

He was wearing this SM300 on the NATO in Austria, too. It's a nice throwback.

That said, I never thought the NATO strap goes particularly well with suits, even if I appreciate the nod to the past. I'll be curious to see if he wears it with a dinner jacket, too, or whether he'll sport the Aqua Terra in those instances (I've heard the Aqua Terra will appear, but only in a scene or two).

I have mine on a vintage rolex. Can´t get myself to switch the metal one in my PO for this. But I do like it a lot. It really is a nice throwback. And that omega is doing those, officially, is kinda cool.

According to the Italian Club and some other sources, Alessandro Cremona has been cast as a character named Marco Sciarra. So we can assume Lucia Sciarra is Marco's wife/widow. Right?

Having said that and searching on Google Images. I've found this image of Cremona.

And in this photos from yesterday and today in Rome, I can't stop thinking this could be the same guy. What do you think?

For all the complaints that Craig looked too old in Skyfall, here he looks younger than Moore did in TSWLM (after which Moore went on to make another four Bond movies). So long as Craig doesn't sport the really short haircut of Skyfall and remains interested after Bond 25, I don't see why he can't come back for Bond 26. Would be nice to have a long tenure.

Yep, the Panavision Panaflex Millennium XL2. Both Mendes and Hoyte Van Hoytema wanted to shoot on film. I guess Mendes didn't want to do Skyfall in digital, but it was Deakins' insistence. As a huge advocate for digital filmmaking, I'm actually glad to have this one on film. Now if only it gets the same IMAX treatment as Interstellar, then I'll be happier than ever.

These photos have stoked my enthusiasm for SPECTRE enormously. The wardrobe pieces look elegant and the setting is very much in line tonally with what I've come to expect from Craig's Bond movies. It's been a good day for us fans.

At least it looks like they've finally figured out how to make Craig really look like Bond, especially after the disaster that was the haircut from Skyfall.  This is the best that Craig has looked in the role yet, and hopefully the rest of the film turns out just as well.

Was there any mention by Mendes or Van Heytema, if IMAX cameras were going to be used in SPECTRE?

Looking at that crane, the camera may track Craig/Bond's walk to the spot, where the coffin is being interred. For certain there will be some iconic shots in SPECTRE.

Hell, there are breathtaking shots from the paparazzi's lenses!
