Shrublands and I are extremely excited about the bulldog...The Times's Kate Muir called it "a great British bulldog of a movie". What is it with this bloody bulldog?! He crops up everywhere! -_-
This is the fourth most read article on the BBC News site today:

I'll admit that's also one of the things I noticed first in all the reviews. I doubt it's a coincidence. Perhaps the bulldog is used as a motif of sorts. I'm fairly stumped.I gathered - that's why the reference got my interest

I picked up on the "bulldog" remark in the review as well. Interesting choice of words, that.

Nice to see Rotten Tomatoes have still scored Xan Brooks' review for The Guardian (worst review so far, I believe) as "Fresh" - albeit with the not particularly complimentary summary: "Works terrifically well up to a point."

Yup, 3 stars out of 5. Looking good!

But Shrub, my dear boy, only those who follow the spoilers would know what the hell you were on about
That's a few more people than normally know what the hell I'm on about.

I was going to change “Location” to “Inside that black box” but I thought that I’d end up being scolded for being the only person here with a spoiler as part of my profile.

Ones of the posters at another forum I frequent went to the press screening (proved it with his ticket and everything) and gave a rave review of the film. Interestingly, he mentioned that he is a more a fan of the novels than the films, so I guess that is a good sign for those whose Bondmania is more literary than cinematic.
Not a fan of the books. But as sommeone who loved CR, I am very pleased to read that the film has a solid plot and story. I'm going to stay away from the (in depth)reviews because I just don't want the film spoiled for me. But I did read one which said that it's the type of film that you actually would want to view numerous times to get it. One of the reviewers made me smile because it mentioned that it was the Nolan Bond film that was made before Nolan actually comes on board.

On a partly related note, I had my regular half-yearly double-take this week when I noticed that DanielCraigIsNotBond is still occasionally updated. Their criticisms of SKYFALL during production are incredible. Morons. How about

I did not know about the craignotbond site, but I did notice, while reading the recent reviews of Skyfall, that some comments keep popping out about Craig being the-ugliest-bond-who-should-never-have-been-considered-for-the-role and such nonsense. I really wonder whether those people have seen the films. Honestly, I would like to know.

Do it. Never does any harm to keep the anti-Craigists up-to-date with reality. Give the forum a look as well. It's hilarious.Been a while since I frequented that particular venue. Will have to pop in. Should I bring back my DanielCraigisBond site again?
Really?! The mind boggles really.
