After four years of waiting for BOND 23, tonight's the night we get our first reviews of SKYFALL. I'll collate articles and tweets here when reaction starts to seep in in hopefully just over an hour's time.
Thats a great idea starting a thread for this!
I am expecting great reviews since critics judge a movie on an emotional context ,rearly on the action, and most of us know what the story is based on,Thats reason enough to say that the reviews will be good

Kate Muir @muirkate
I just gave SKYFALL five stars in The Times. A return to classic form and a great British bulldog of a movie. Plus the Aston Martin DB5...
Kim Newman @AnnoDracula
I really like Skyfall. Feels very Flemingesque.
Jane Crowther @totalfilm_jane
Bond rocks. You will squeal in delight when Bardem and Craig first meet. Corking.
Kevin Maher @KevinTMaher
#SKYFALL V strange film. 80 mins of Bond movie followed by 40 mins of Straw Dogs.
#SKYFALL Shockingly ugly SECOND Heineken prod placement. First one cute. Second, ugh.
#SKYFALL saved by Bardem. Class act.
#SKYFALL not too sure about Daniel Craig's Action Man goatee and Josef Goebbels haircut (around the ears!).
* Perhaps also worth noting that Kevin Maher says there is not a gunbarrel opening.
Alastair Bennett @AlastairBe
#Skyfall possibly best Bond film of all time. Top drawer. See it
Boyd Hilton @boydhilton
Well I thought #Skyfall was incredibly, massively satisfying.
Skyfall reminds me of The Dark Knight Returns. It takes time to deepen the characters & let us enjoy them, in the middle of all the action
Graham Norton @grahnort
Bond is back!!! Skyfall is perfection!!!!!
Time Out London @TimeOutLondon
Just seen #Skyfall it was amazing! Mendes has done something extraordinary. Dark, sexy and genuinely emotionally harrowing.
British GQ @BritishGQ
Just seen #skyfall. Daniel Craig is magnificent - you will not be disappointed. Roll on another 50 years of @007
Vassos Alexander @VassosA
The new Bond film is tense, thrilling, tremendous. Funny in places too. Bond back on form #skyfall
Olly Richards @olly_richards
Skyfall a very strong Bond. Enjoyed that the scale weighted more on story than action, in Casino Royale vein. Performances excellent.
James Mullinger @jamesmullinger
Well, Sam Mendes may have created the best James Bond film ever. After all the photocalls & hype, Skyfall somehow exceeds all expectations.
Anita Singh @anitathetweeter
Heineken product placement in #skyfall fairly subtle. Unlike Naomie Harris yelling "THEY'RE IN THE AUDI" during opening chase scene
Geoff Hill @geoffhill5News
Lucky enough to see the first screening of the new Bond film Skyfall tonight. Classic Bond style and humour with a modern plot...
Ally Wybrew @AllyWyb
Loved #Skyfall. Great villain, great script and a real return to Bond form.
Chris Hewitt @ChrisHewitt
Don't have a lot of time as #Bondaoke beckons. But Skyfall is, for me, Craig's best Bond by a country mile.
Cineworld Cinemas @cineworld
Just out from seeing Skyfall. All i'll say is that Sam Mendez has played a blinder with the most personal Bond since OHMSS.
Richard Pallot @richpallotitv
Just seen 1st ever screening of skywalk. Quite possibly best ever bond ever. Twists to send shivers down your spine
James Day @James_Day_Metro
In case you're wondering the new Bond movie #Skyfall is really quite superb
James Robertson @_JamesR
Just watched James Bond: Skyfall. IT'S F'IN AWESOME.
Hari Patience @Hari_P
Was just one of the first 1600 people to see #skyfall. Does not disappoint. Can't reveal much due to spoilers but 10x better than QofS
#skyfall did actually joss a few of my personal canon bits about Bond. But I can't tell you what as there's #spoilers
Nihal A @TherealNihal
Bk to an old school Bond film, Bardem is brilliant. References to old school Bond but felt a little too long #skyfall #makeupyrownmind
Rupert Bhatia @alfredooo
So the new bond film is different... big change of direction. quite good though.
Craig Stevens @craigstevens
Skyfall is fantastic, the edginess of Casino but with a strong story over set piece and smart humour. Craig's finest Bond.
Michelle Johnson @chelleajohnson
Guys I am so happy. #Skyfall. Watch it.
Go and see #SKYFALL. See it. Don't deny yourself the film of the year. Holy god. #Bond #JamesBond. #1hundredstars
Olivia Osborne @livsosborne
Just seen #skyfall brilliant. Bond is back
Louise Pepper @loupepper

Niall Doherty @NiallMDoherty
Skyfall was amazing. Best film I've seen this year (yes, even better than TDKR) and poss my new favourite Bond film.
Becky Sunshine @Becky_Sunshine
#Skyfall is totally bloody brilliant. There it is. Not going to spoil any surprises, but def worth seeing!
Scott Weller @koolafficianado
1st UK press screening for SKYFALL. Verdict: Solid and exciting but lacks the verve and impact of CASINO ROYALE.
Richie Firth @RichieFirth38s
Just seen #SKYFALL - never been more blown away by a movie ever. Amazing.
Daniel Krupa @danielkrupa
Well #Skyfall is the best Bond film ever made.
Dan Jolin @DanJolin
Skyfall, then: yes, way better than QoS. No huge surprises, but great fun. Proper classic feel, while keeping the Casino Royale edge.
Andrew Billen @andrewbillen
Just out of the premiere and Five stars for Skyfall. Best bond villain for years, and funny and Bond cries!
Dan Storey @DapperDan
So ermmmm yeah #Skyfall is absolute class! The perfect mix of vintage Bond & slick, modern day action thrillers! Well played Mr. Bond!
#Skyfall is everything Quantum should of been. Craig absolutely owns the role & makes it his bitch. Best film of the year? #moveoverlooper
It's too early to say but considering I've just ploughed through almost every Bond film in the past month it's possible #Skyfall is the best

Skyfall a very strong Bond. Enjoyed that the scale weighted more on story than action, in Casino Royale vein. Performances excellent.
NBTN @Nee_Bytes
Skyfall and 007 - a feast for the eyes on every level. Brilliant stuff! Can't wait to see it again when it's out on official release!
Daniel Krupa @danielkrupa
Well #Skyfall is the best Bond film ever made.
Patrick Ryan @paddyryan007
Early word is that Skyfall is Craig's best Bond yet.
British GQ @BritishGQ
Just seen #skyfall. Daniel Craig is magnificent - you will not be disappointed. Roll on another 50 years of @007

Without a shadow of a doubt the best bond. EVER.
Craig Stevens
Skyfall is fantastic, the edginess of Casino but with a strong story over set piece and smart humour. Craig's finest Bond.

#Skyfall. Bold. Good-looking. Craig is in his element. Mendes atones for sins of Quantum with gorgeous photography, story and room to think.
That said, some of the anniversary nods are clunky and there are wayward stretches where story and themes fade away.
Kate Muir @muirkate
Ben Whishaw steals the scene as Q, geek chic in his specs, cardie and anorak. #SKYFALL
Boyd Hilton @boydhilton
... A celebration of Bond but a clever, coherent story too. #Skyfall
Sandy Cheema @sandycheems
I'm not the biggest Bond fan but that was bloody awesome. Daniel Craig is good but Javier Bardem is the man! #Skyfall
James Max @thejamesmax
So you want to know what #007 #Skyfall is like? Epic. Epic. Epic. Epic. Epic. Epic. Epic. SURPRISE. Epic. You'll love it.
Furthermore... #Skyfall All the things you missed recently are there. With twists, turns, surprise, humour, glam and London. As I said. Epic
Epic #Skyfall @SonyPicturesUK Like Heston Blumenthal took all the #007 ingredients and concocted the most amazing feast. Ever.

And not opening with the gunbarrel is madness, particularly for 50th. Sacred part of the ritual! #skyfallExpand Reply Retweet Favorite

Skyfall: impeccably crafted but weirdly dour. Why are they so afraid of the classic formula?

No Gunbarrel?!
"I Must be dreaming!"
If accurate, it's disappointing. Unless they just haven't attached the sequence yet.

I'll be pissed if it's at the end. It's time for it to be at the beginning, Bond is finally Bond!
Please let it be an early cut of what people reviewing it have seen!
I certainly hope that's the case.

I'm open to new things but I've got to admit that that's a bit of tradition I'd rather wasn't messed with. Put the gunbarrel up front: it's where it's designed to be.

This could be the best Bond yet: light on sex, heavy on storytelling, hard on action. As for comic relief, it doesn’t come any better either. This is 100% pure Bond, a distillation of beauty, action, surprises and locations. Lets’ start with the latter: perhaps it’s best to stay away from Istanbul, given Taken 2 and now the new 007 thriller Skyfall shooting up the place. Stay away too from MI6 and Macau. But you can visit Shanghai perfectly nicely because, in this, the 23rd official Bond film, the city looks like a clean version of Bladerunner. Because, outside of truly amazing stunts and a running theme of ‘sometimes the old ways are the best’, this has to be the best looking Bond film - and more kudos are to be heaped on Oscar-winning cinematographer Roger Deakins for shooting this instalment so it looks like an Oscar-winner already.
In the hands of Sam Mendes, there’s less sex, less obvious violence and more invention. The story holds water, even given the implausible nature of the Bond franchise in general. Telling the plot even briefly would spoil the brilliant opening sequence because, with Skyfall the less you know before you go, the more you will enjoy it. This is the Bond film to buy banks of tickets for without reading a review because, this time, like racehorses, the pedigree has really paid off.
Old characters are replaced, new ones slotted cannily into their positions to ready us for the next big Bond adventure - which we’ve been promised. This is the first time a franchise has been rebooted without changing the lead actor or the setting or the theme. This Bond film has been rebooted with skill, style and intelligence - just when you thought it had run out of all of that. Sam Mendes must now make at least two more before we give him his knighthood - although he’s earned it already here.
Daniel Craig is looking the part - he’s got the mileage now - along with Dame Judi Dench who is also allowing herself to look human. The real winner is Javier Bardem. If he hadn’t done No Country for Old Men we would never see him as the super-bad guy Raoul Silva, a bad blond villain that Bardem plays - and there is no other word for it - deliciously. He is one part Hannibal Lector, one part hair dye and the other part damaged schoolboy. Yes, expect twists galore - but I love you - and James Bond - far too much to tell you what they are.

#Skyfall is a cracker. Casino Royale, OHMSS, it's that type of 007 film. Story and character priority over empty spectacle. When's #Bond24?
Chris Hawkins @BBCChrisHawkins
The new Bond film is brilliant. Proper great Bond. Sam Mendes must do the next one #Skyfall

It's weird: I know press screenings happen, but I've never heard of one mentioned so often in the media as this one: people on TV and radio have been talking about going to it for days. Skyfall's genuinely got people excited!
