I don't understand the reference to Bond attending Eaton when He responds to Silva's comments while rubbing Bonds thigh. Anyone care to explain?

Eton is a poncy boys school where all toffs go, and a lot of bumming takes places.
Also Nicolas Suszczyk your Forster joke cracked me up.

Gotcha, thanks. Being a Bond fan I guess I should know that? Anyway, you learn something new everyday.

I'd bet good money that it's from Judy Dench.

I would LOVE to hear M drop that line so early in the film - you wouldn't under-estimate her again!!

I believe Kincade drops an 'S Bomb". Honestly think that Dench will be the culprit. She's cursed a lot in the last few.

Confirmation that it is M.. (this will be great!!)

Oh and people seem to forget that technicaly, J.W. Pepper uttered the first F-bomb in the Bond films in 1973 but it was drowned out by the noise of a roaring boat engine..

Hey, here´s an idea, we´re fans, so let´s do the petition for real. Cmon gents and ladies, let´s create a page with some real signatures on it. I bet it would hit the news following the many positive reviews this one is getting. Cmon, who can create the page? I´m serious.

Let's wait till we've seen the movie first. We'll end up looking like right dicks supporting Mendes (somewhat) blindly.

+10000000000...etc

Probably, then we´d send it to EON with a thank you note and the torn I.O.U they gave us back in 2002 ;)

I believe they payed us back big time with Casino Royale and QOS. They're I.O.U is long forgotten by now.
Anyone over here who was following The Dark Knight Rises closely will remmember that after the press screening, some of the reactions talked about "tears of joy"and "the best movie in cinematic history" but when the fans got their hands on the movie the feeling was not so mutual.

You say it lke TDKR was reviled by fandom. It was not. Sure their was a vocal minority who disliked the film, it was still extremely popular. Personally, I loved it, but I think TDK is the better film.

With this film, Bond at last enters the age of terrorism. He has been regenerated in such a way that now it is he who makes Jason Bourne look old-fashioned

Blimey.

Perhaps M will tell Bond to kill that f&^*ing bastard or Severine will ask Bond what he's doing in her shower and he replies, "I'm here to f&(* you."

Almost every review soon after the press screening claimed it was way better than The Dark Knight,Which was not the case when the fans got their hands on the movie.Go to any review aggregator site and it will show you that as a fact. My point is,its absurd to go about making petions when we havent even watched it yet.
Personally I enjoyed TDKR more since it was more faithfull to the source material with the whole concept of rising from within the darkness

i agree

i went to see TDK in the cinema 5 times

i saw TDKR and loved it
thought it was the best of the year

went back to see it again and saw all the flaws it is a very poor film
too many plot holes

why did ALL the police go underground
why did bruce and miranda all of a sudden sleep together
why was the alfred leaves scene so anti climactic

You have a point with the whole police going underground thing !

I saw the Dark Knight and decided I didn't need to see Dark Knight Rises.

One positive is the reviews saying that Skyfall is funny: something I don't think Nolan could manage.

Can I request spoiler tags for big spoilers? I know it's the spoiler section but this is the only reviews thread.

silva brainwashed 007 which explains why they are treating him like a mental patient in the trailer
asking him how he reacts to certain words like... AGENT or SKYFALL

Yeah, that ones been debunked long ago.

Who are you replying to? No one is doubting the claim that Fiennes is the new M. What I was doubting was that Bond was brainwashed. There is no evience of that. Besides, Bond and Silva don't meet until later on in the movie.
