My gut has been and always will be Adele.

Your gut instinct or is she your full-time food taster?

I like all the Bond songs!

:)

I wish you a desert island my friend and nothing to keep you company except Eric Serra's "The Experience of Love".

Anybody want to take odds how long DaveBond21 makes it? :D :P

Excellent fan-made video campaigning for Dame Shirley Bassey to sing the Spectre title song.

"25" is the upcoming third studio album by Adele, scheduled to be released in november 2015.

So it's not impossible that Adele is finally the one who's going to sing the SPECTRE title song.

True..but don't forget that Ellie Goulding also has an album coming out at the same time with the song "Spy", which is rumored to be the SPECTRE song. So it could be either one of them.

If it is after all Adele, does this mean that two Bond themes might appear on the new album she's releasing? Skyfall never appeared other than as a download or CD single - although I daresay that, as ever, another compilation album including Skyfall will appear around the time the SPECTRE soundtrack and theme tune does.

I have my doubts either will appear on "25", if indeed Adele has recorded the new film's theme. I also doubt the theme will appear on the new soundtrack album, though I would like to be proved wrong on that.

I came out of the shadows after more than a decade of lurking after I noticed this-

The Phil Collins Facebook page updated its profile pic to this a few days ago:

11900090_10153535015957716_9160344494916

Additionally, Collins will release remastered box sets of two albums, including his first album "Face Value" on... guess it... November 6th.

Could this mean that the Adele/Collins collaboration could be real? Or just pure coincidence? Thoughts?

If it is Collins, I would very much hope that it's just Collins and not a case of him having to share the space with Adele.  IMO, Collins is a legend and should get the gig for himself and not have to play second-fiddle to someone who is nowhere near his level of talent.

I absolutely agree on Collins' status as a legend. However if collaborating with Adele gets him back to the music, I'll take it.

The new poster says that the soundtrack, as opposed to Sony Classical or any other Sony brand, will be released by Decca Records (which is a part of Universal Music Group as opposed to Sony).

May this offer us a hint on who's doing it....

This is a point. Any of the rumoured artists represented by them?

Please, not Phil Collins! He's in my Top Three of people I don't want anywhere near a Bond movie production.

Paul McCartney to continue the Live adn Let Die vibe?!!!

Maybe Dan and Sam went to him and told him how much they love LALD and asked him to do the song?

Paul hasnĀ“t done a killer song in a while, but he does deserve one, and so do we.

Of those previously mentioned as being with Decca Records, my choice for the Bond song gig would be Annie Lennox. She is/was a big star with The Eurythmics and as a solo artist and I really liked her Into The West song in The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. (Although I as I type this I realize that that was 12 years ago! )

Also, she very nearly was the Bond singer for Licence To Kill back in 1989. In fact, she was offered the gig but turned it down because she hated the title/violence of the film. Maybe now 26 years later with a different title and script she'd be willing to do it.

Good point about Daniel Craig's new status - maybe he did have some input, not only with the song but other things.

Annie Lennox? I wouldn't mind her doing the theme - if Gladys Knight or Tina Turner can record Bond themes decades after they first found fame, why not Annie Lennox?

But I'll surprised if it isn't someone contemporary, though not necessarily someone we are expecting.

One more thing - we're assuming the artiste, whoever he/she/ is or they are is signed to Decca. But wasn't Chris Cornell signed to a different recording company from Sony when he recorded You Know My Name? (One reason perhaps thay YKMN wasn't on the soundtrack album?) Which may mean the theme artiste for SPECTRE might not be on Decca's list at all?

This is true, though the actual reason YKMN wasn't on the ost was Cornell requested it be kept for his second solo album
