Aw, that's a shame. Solo will be lost without his Wookiee!

Latest rumour is the stories will follow the off-spring of Solo and Skywalker...

It seems likely that we'll see Luke Skywalker in the new Star Wars Trilogy! Mark Hamill speaks!

He will return and not just a cameo.

i don't know. if they're prepared to write them out if they don't sign, instead of recasting, i wonder how big they're roles will be.

If Hamill and Ford are officially confirmed as returning rather than the excited rumour, this will be a fantastic bridge between the classic trilogy and very exciting to see our characters older in a new era with their offspring.

i can already see it. they bring back Solo as a supporting character and all the fanboys throw a fit that he doesn't get enough screen time.

Its exciting the return of Ford and Hamill and most likely Carrie Fisher. The I can't help but think they could also bring back Hayden Christensen as Anakin, Ian McDiarmid as Darth Sidious and even Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan if they want as ghosts. That would kind of tie the films all together somewhat.

Here we go, it was only a matter of time;

William Shatner is wooing director JJ Abrams to try and get a role in his new 'Star Wars' film.

The actor - famous for playing Captain James T Kirk in the 'Star Trek' TV series and original films - was upset that JJ did not give him a role in his big screen 'Star Trek' reboot, the latest of which, 'Star Trek Into Darkness', is out this summer.

the only way Paltentine or Darth Vader return is he appears in Luke Dream as a ghost or something like that, a very small cameo

I hope we see the Milleinium Falcon, can't have star war with that! X-wings bring back Wedge played by Dennis Lawson

I wonder how many of the old crew will return from original series there are lot of them can we bring all of them back to make that connection, love to see Admiral Ackbars back too

The latest rumor to surface over the weekend is that the CGI "Clone Wars" series, which just finished its fifth season a week or so ago, has been canceled. According to insiders, work on Season 7 (!) was well already, so the theory is that this was all Disney's decision, perhaps due to a combination of the show's expensiveness and their desire to focus on the upcoming Sequel Trilogy. Another rumor indicates that the show may wrap up with a final 10-12 episodes which could be streamed exclusively on Hulu/Netflix or released on DVD/Blu-Ray.

I'm sure this has been done to ensure the only place you can get a new SW fix is going to be in the theatres....

It wouldn't surprise me now if The Clone Wars animated series is cancelled. Time to focus back on bringing the new trilogy to the screen. The era of the prequels is coming to an end and the child-friendly Star Wars will cool off. Hopefully.

Clone Wars fans shouldn't be upset about its cancellation-it will probably live on through Disney XD or on the Disney Channel as possible animated mini-series. Also the Seth Green Star Wars animated series is on hold too. Have to admit, it ended with a shock.

Now, IF the rumors about Hamill, Ford and Fisher are true I hope they do an animated series leading up to the events of Episode 7. Not all people who want to see this movie will know ho Mara Jade is, and will not shell out the $ to buy the books, but if they choose to go that route, having this (or even an animated mini series) could help explain some Episode 7 backstory.

That would be a good idea to create something to connect episode  6 and 7 since not everyone know about the expanded universe . A short animated or CGI version would do........unless there is flashbacks in Episode 7 that creates that backstory

If they do another animated series I hope its more like the cartoon Clone Wars rather then the stick figure CGI one. Now I'm excited I didn't even think about that, they could do a series leading up to a film release if they wanted to like how the cartoon Clone Wars took place between Episodes 2 and 3.

Recently we here helped create a James Bond fan t-shirt we could buy, 'Keep Calm and Call Bond' so used that format to have a go at another fan t-shirt mass print, a 'Star Wars' one. The printing site need to reach a goal of 25 sells to print the t-shirt, so I hope you would like one too and help me get my hands on one, and yours!

I've simply made the phrase 'Keep Calm and Call Rogue Squadron' on a black t-shirt with the yellow writing.

When Disney bought LucasArts people were so enthusiastic.
Let's see what Disney brought to us:

Pro:

None

Con:
- Star Wars 7, 8, 9

- Star Wars: The Clone Wars cancelled

- Star Wars Detours cancelled

- LucasArts closed

Explain me why people were so enthusiastic.

I can't believe LucasArts has gone... they made some groundbreaking games and I was so ready for new Star Wars visions with '1313' at least.

Real shame.

I wasn't expecting this sudden halt in Star Wars news since the first announcement until they signed Jar Jar Abrams and because of 'Into Darkness' we probably wont hear anything about Episode VII until 'Into Darkness' is out on Blu Ray. Its still a little strange to me how Star Wars and Star Trek are now forever even more intertwined then they had ever been.

Steven Spielberg, Joe Cornish, Paul W.S. Anderson, Zack Snyder, Alex Proyas, Werner Herzog, Michel Gondry etc.
