Purchased tickets for a 10:15pm showing Thursday night, Dec 17th. By coincidence, that day is also my Birthday, so if anything, the plan atleast is ending the day by watching Episode 7. *rubs hands together*

Bought Star Wars Battlefront last Friday and have been splitting my time between that and Fallout 4. Thought the beta was quite good, but it doesn't equate to the finished product. Extremely immersive and lots of fun. I'd say it's a must buy for gamers and Star Wars fans.

Agree. Future Bond girl maybe?

She'd never be in the Bond world now she's about to explode in the SW universe and become a global sensation.
Thanks for that heads up, Ace. Good to hear you enjoyed it - I can't wait to get it for Xmas hopefully!

Yes, it has been impressive for a film of this scope. I really know next to nothing about it. Mind you, I don't trawl the net looking for spoilers but that isn't always necessary. Some times careless headlines will scream out details I don't want to see. I'm happy little has been said or revealed in the official materials.

Oh I'm sure some leaks have gone viral, set pics etc but if you don't seek you won't find and I like the point nothing major has come out that's been trawled all over the 'net. Everything is taken with a pinch of salt, and even now when I think about how much I know of the narrative and story, I think a little more and realise I don't!
I can't even place the trailers and TV spots in some sort of order because I think I can, then think I can't. And I'm pleased I feel like that so I don't end up like knowing the coherence of 'SPECTRE' and where the next scene takes place and with who.

The soundtrack for The Force Awakens. It gives away some spoilers, so read at your own peril.

These TV spots and trailers are so well done - the odd new line of dialogue thrown into a scene we've already been teased; giving away nothing but letting us glimpse that little bit more.

Edit: Beware - this trailer has lots of spoilers in it!

I don't think that trailer is TOO bad....a few new bits, but nothing again not out of line with the current trailers and TV spots.
Still can't piece the narrative together, which is good!
7 days!

My friend bought Thursday preview tickets (3D, not Imax which had already sold out) back when they went on sale. I bought two tickets for Friday in 2D at local theater two weeks ago. So it better not pull a Phantom Menace on us!

I don't even want to participate in any spoilers until after the 17th, so good idea for a new thread. Hopefully everyone will avoid anything major until they have seen it. Can people spoil a little if they must but not literally EVERYTHING for the fans who can't see it yet.
Here's hoping.

I went in only having seen the trailers - and that´s definitely enough. The film has so many magnificient surprises, one should really surrender to that.

Oh you had the pleasure of seeing it already? Great! I too want to be surprised and am glad there are surprises ahead! Seems like you really enjoyed it then?

It´s my favourite film of the year and within the series at least No.3 (after A NEW HOPE and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK).
