That reel was nothing but perfect. Practical effects, a real sense of understanding for the source material. Beautiful.

Episode VIII to start shooting this month!!  At first it was thought that the shooting in Ireland was for re-shoots for The Force Awakens, which worried me. But this has been debunked and LucasFilm has confirmed Rian Johnson and crew are kicking off principal photography of Ep.VIII.

 

Funny how, apart from Benecio del Toro, we've heard almost nothing about who will be joining the cast. I'm wondering if any of the original Star Wars gang will return from Ep.VII...I do hope so!

I hope so too - it has to be. We've got to have our trio of heroes, droids and  (hopefully) and or all of the original trilogy cast.

 

As for villains? Hope they keep at least 2/3 alive so they can be a constant threat like Vader and the Imperials, not disposable toy adverts like Darth Maul and a new main villain each episode. Keep it consistent, and let us invest in a fixed good and bad cast of characters (with an odd one or two popping up, like Lando and Boba Fett in 'TESB').
