The movie to release in less than 4 years.

What do you want to see in Spectre?

Less than 3 would be even better.

True, but I think that's wishful thinking at this point. If I were a betting man (and I'm not), I would put my money on a release date of November 13, 2015 for Bond 24.
Having said that, most of the production of Skyfall occured between November 3, 2011 and October 2012. So if EON has a completed script and a director in place, a November 2014 release may not be entirely out of the question. But still, I feel 2015 is more likely. I also wouldn't be surprised for a summer 2015 release.

Would love a July 17th, 2015 release. First summer Bond film since Licence To Kill.

I would love to see it release June 19, 2015. I can watch a brand new Bond film 3 days before my birthday.

Well if these new rumors about Mendes are true, say hello to 2016 Bond 24.

It's a 50/50 things for me. 50% for wanting him back, because I loved Skyfall, the other 50% for not wanting him because of his current engagements focusing on theater and a later release date. It'd be nice if he can get all of this done this year so we can have Bond 24 in 2015. If it's 2015, guarantee it'll be Craig's last film.

I'd be shocked by a summer release. I think it might be more likely that we see Bond 24 slip into December 2015 or 2016, as that would be prime time to release a film that they want considered for the big prizes at the Oscars. If they release the next one in the summer, there's almost a zero percent chance they'll be competing at the Academy Awards in February of the next year.

Inception was released in July 2010 and was nominated for Best Picture at the 2011 Academy Awards...

The general rule, however, is that summer releases generally don't have much of a chance. If you have a film that you're planning to make a serious run for an Oscar with, it gets released in November or December most of the time. Plus, Bond 24 will already have to overcome the fact that it's a Bond film, which is another strike against it in the eyes of the Academy.

While that is true, still, no one really expected to see Inception to get that big of a nomination. I don't think the Academy will necessary be looking past Bond anymore with the final outcome of Skyfall

I agree. I think Skyfall changed the perception of Bond in the eyes of many, the Academy included. With the amount of money Skyfall made during essentially the winter, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that EON could be thinking that a summer release would bring in more.

The new Felix Leiter(Jeffrey Wright)
I forgot to add this on my post.
It would be really interesting to have Felix return in the next movie.

1.) The return of Camille Montes and Corrine Veaneau: Camille and Bond actually had very good chemistry (at the very least they cared about each other as individuals), and she could work as someone who he either falls in love with, or a rare instance where she isn't one of his many bedwarmers but a friend who just so happens to be a woman (as in they have coffee on occassion, say hello at parties or even do things together but not necissarily have sex). Either way she's an intriguing character and bond's equal. Corrine I'd choose largely because a.) there was one fanfic thing on this very site that made her work, and
Stana Katic is from what little I've see a good actress (she was Talia al Ghul in Arkham City and she did a wonderful job there.)
2.) Quantum return: Given that they've been exposed, that Green spilled his guts, that they lost money when Tieria failed, at the the government is pissed off at being played, I can see Quantum going underground for a few years or being badly crippled for a while. As such, a movie where they return with a vengeance and show "you thought we were gone. Big mistake." Either way, they show that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the most dramatic way possible
3.) Dream Sequence or Mind dream where Bond finally faces his past and hopefully lays his inner demons to rest. In God of War 3 the final battle involves a pool of blood where kratos is forced to relive all his worst memories (the killing of his family, killing athena, all the various what the hell heroes he recieves throughout the saga. Ultimately with pandora's help Kratos finally forgives himself and is able to overcome his guilt and beat zues to death with his bare hands.
I was thinking that Bond could have something SIMILAR happen (through drugs, hallucination, whatever) that would demonstrated even more so that his cold exterior is in many ways a facade. There were instances when the mask breaks (Vesper's death, when he thinks Camille is endangered, the murder of M), but by and large he has a cold portrayal. Maybe at some point he starts hallucinating, and we see various root causes of his tormented soul (his parent issues, vesper stabbing him in the back, the skyfall affair, every single woman or person who died because of him or who he failed. Fields, Solange, Severine etc........) At some point, Bond finally comes to terms with everything and while still upset, is able to make peace with his broken soul. Bond eventually recovers, and than starts kicking ass.
4.) More locales: South Africa, other African nations, maybe one trip to Japan. The middle east should show up.

A super villain.
Ideally Blofeld, updated.
Enough of these one-time, petty schemers. Bond needs an arch enemy.

I love trippy dream sequences. Sue me. And bond has a S*** ton of issues, so it would be cool to see him lay the past to rest.

I agree with everyone, no personal angle.
I'd like to see calm, refined-looking villain, like Kamal Khan. Bond should initially meet him in a public venue, like a party or casino, where they'd have a stare-down. The villain's quiet brutality should grow more apparent as the film progresses.
Maybe a mix of urban and natural settings. Berlin or Hong Kong would be great cities.
Lastly, the re-launched Aston Martin Vanquish!

Hong Kong would be too similar to Shanghai and Macau.

The series has done particularly well with just hints and subtle references to its history. I don't want to see flashbacks or visual references to past adventures. Midget janitors whistling Goldfinger and reminiscing with props as reminders of past adventures are rather perfect IMO. The actual visual shots from previous adventures in the OHMSS credits is fine as well since it has nothing to do with the narrative. And notice those don't involve Bond at all.
Also, two of the stronger scenes referring to Bond's past involve Roger Moore: the bit when Anya brings up his wife in TSWLM, handled very well for an actor who is better known for the lighter aspects of Bond; and visiting Tracy's grave in FYEO. Nothing said and nothing needs to be.

M's old office, with the double doors, like they bought back at the end of Skyfall.
The door at the end of Skyfall is not a "double door"
But I agree. I felt some nostalgia when I saw Mallory's office and I want it in Bond 24 !
