It seems my wish of seeing Craig in a Navy Commander's uniform will not happen this time.
What do you want to see in Spectre?

I want to see some sneakin' around, like Bond breaking into Palmyra, the Whyte House, the C&W warehouse, the Monsoon Palace - that sort of thing.
I suppose it's John Barry's music that makes those sequences so atmospheric, but I think Thomas Newman's up to it.

And with regards to Nolan, I think your description of TDKR and Interstellar pretty much sum up every film on his resume, not just those two.
This I agree with.

There was a time when I was really on board with the idea of a Christopher Nolan Bond film. However, that was pre-The Dark Knight Rises. After seeing that debacle and the way Sam Mendes has handled Bond, I'm completely convinced Mendes is the better of the two.
Agreed. I was massively disappointed with TDK Rises, particularly the plot holes, and how it contradicted what went before. These days I even think TDK is overrated. I'd take Craig's Bond trilogy over Nolan's Batman one any day of the week.

- Gun barrel sequence;
- Stay low-reliance on gadgets, eschewing them altogether or keeping them subtle, believable and low-key;
- A little bit more humour, but not too much;
- Bond himself having some fun;
- Other Double-Os featuring somewhere in the story;
- Bond once again displaying effortless mastery and recall of some obscure specialist topic to M related to the upcoming mission;
- Keeping away from dominant revenge/personal motifs (this clearly isn't going to happen but I just want to see Bond the good functionary and servant of the Queen just doing his job;
- Some sleuthing, spying, working stuff out - intelligence work;
- Bond using a pseudonym; and
- A shared operation or incursion event with the SAS or SBS.

And I just saw AMC Hornet's suggestion above of Bond sneaking around - yes please!

I agree with everything here, but I don't think we're going to get all of them in SPECTRE. I'd love to see some sleuthing and sneaking around but I don't think there will necessarily be time for that. Sam Mendes said that the movie starts and Bond is already in the thick of the action but we don't know why. It also looks like revenge and family ties is one of the main themes. Some more humour and Bond enjoying himself would be good to see, but from the trailer, it all looks pretty serious.
And yes I'd love to see it all start with a gunbarrel.

It's been said many times before, but this time, I really do think the opening gunbarrel will be a lock. I can't see Bond wearing the navy uniform in SPECTRE, but indeed, I'd be up for it.
I think SPECTRE will be on the serious side, but think humour will also play an important role like the other Bond films.
As Joss Whedon once said, "make it dark, make it grim, make it tough, but then, for the love of God, tell a joke."

I fell asleep. On every single one. Granted, that was while re watching them at home, all cozy and relaxed. But I'm still not old enough to pass out during the day. Fact is, I find Nolan's Batman films overlong. The stories are interesting and I like most actors in their parts. But there is so much extra-footage that it reminds me of LOTR. Right now I'm looking more forward to Affleck's Batman than to revisiting TDK anytime soon.
I hated TDK from day one. Never understood the fuss - a three (or was it more?) hour bloated, elephantine, poorly constructed, illogical, pompous deadweight. Heath Ledger's performance? Nothing more than Rich Little doing Richard Nixon on an off day. TDKR was better. BB was okay.

Oh absolutely.
