1. The return of Quantum

2. A new James Bond actor

3. Cool Gadgets

4. Gun barrel at the beginning

5. A world domination plot

6. A fortress hideout

7. Weird hecnhmen/hechwomen

8. Absolutely no references to previous Bonds. I am tired of references.

9. Introduction of a young Blofeld as a Quantum agent. :D

Well, I doubt any of those things will happen. But one thing is for sure; we will not be getting another Judi Dench soap opera. Thank the heavens for that.

I second all of them except 2, because I like Craig as Bond. Don't you?
Also, except for number 2 (as Craig has signed the contract for two more films, if not 3), they're likely to happen. Why do you think that "any of those things will never happen"?

World domination plots were stupid whenever they were written.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned this before, at least in this thread that I could find, but as part of Logan digging deeper into Bond's psyche, I think a marvelous sequence would be to force Bond into a mountain climbing situation. Either to rescue himself, or perhaps the leading lady. I know Bond climbed before in For Your Eyes Only - but they missed the marvelous opportunity then to have him suffer through the terror and psychological effects of his parent's death while in the process. I think if this was done well, with today's IMAX cameras filmed perhaps in the Alps, this could make for both a terrifying and tense sequence, yet showcase Bond overcoming an additional demon from his past.

To piggyback off your idea...what if Bond was climbing with a "supposed" Bond girl and she ends up cutting the rope/line and he falls and becomes injured; and the whole time the female was the villianeous? Not only could the climbing accident tie into Bond's parents, but you would also get the benefit have having a double cross by a female. Thoughts, questions, concerns?

Another thought, what if the third act of Bond's mission (whatever it may be) took him to the moutains/Artic area, and it involved skiing, mountain climbing and some sort of grand finale fight?

Aside from TWINE and DAD, when was the last time Bond played in the snow?

GE and TND, pts-sequences. TLD also had the cello-snowboarding. But the last Bond-on-skis was in AVTAK.

And Craig has never been on skis yet, so... go, Danny-Boy!

I agree about Bond being in the mountains and the artic. I'd like the Swiss Alps to be used.

I'd prefer somewhere in the Nordic Countries, Northern Canada or Siberian Mountains. Somewhere remote. We've seen the Swiss Alps and Dolomites already.

Iceland and/or Greenland perhaps? I like Siberia as a choice.

Bond went to Iceland in DAD. Greenland would be interesting, as would be Svalbard.

If it wasn't a complete rehash of TWINE, a plotline involving the Keystone Pipeline from the controversial Alberta Tar Sands would the perfect excuse to bring Bond to Canada and have him ski in the Canadian Rockies.  Too bad.  You could have a nice twister of a story about sabotage by Eco-terrorists, only for Bond to discover they are are being framed and/or manipulated by Quantum/SPECTRE who are in it for profit.

Bond in Canada would be very Fleming and very beautiful to look at.

Following on from Aceroberts and occhile007:

It could make a brilliant third act, if Bond suddenly found himself in a pseudo-survival situation of having to make his way through the mountains to complete a mission, without support from MI6 (I'm imagining a fight scene where he loses/breaks his only means of communication) except for the supplies/equipment he started with, and having to infiltrate his way through lots of security and/or enemies hunting him.

That probably sounds too Rambo, but my starting point was For Your Eyes Only (short story). And for some reason I can really see Craig doing this - not sure I could see any other Bond but Connery doing it though others had similar moments (think of Dr No vs. Octopussy jungle sequence, OHMSS Piz Gloria escape sequence and, er, For Your Eyes Only mountain climb)

First, a solid script,

Then : sex, violence and sadism

 And of course, the gun barrel as an intro

If this new Q is afraid of flying, there exists a funny opportunity if he is required to meet Bond in the field internationally.

"DO-DO"-Thomas Newman music. Bond kicking open a door to a dark warehouse full of illegally caged animals. Cut too somewhere outside in the Canadian Rockies, Corrine Veneau (QOS) is parked outside in a Range Rover and sees their suspect fleeing the building, Bond comes running out of the building shortly after followed by all the animals he's just freed, he gets into the Range Rover and a car chase begins with the exchange of gun fire. Bond and Carrine duck as bullets holes are made in their windshield, Bond puts his hand on the steering wheel and turns into the suspects automobile causing it to drive into a Tim Hortons drive thru sign and flip over. As the car slides away Bond and Corrine smell something terrible then notices a few animals from the warehouse in the back seat making farting sounds, they quickly put their mouths over the bullet holes in the windshield. Bond gets out of the Range Rover to see their suspect has stolen a Royale Canadian Mounted Police horse and is making an escape and jumps onto a horse of his own. They ride theirs horses through a ice rink during a hockey game and out the other side, as the suspect sees Corrine approach in the Range Rover he takes a sharp turn right into a ski shop. As Bond and Corrie met at the back of the ski shop and find their suspects horse, they notice it opens into a ski slope and their target is skiing away, Bond hits the slopes after him and Corrie drives after them. As they ski down a mountain they move feather away from the slopes into a forest, as Bond gets close and as their skiing a fist fight ensues, BOOM! BANG! ZAP! After a hit and as Bond falls back he reaches for the suspects neckless but as they are coming out of the forest Corrine appears and hits Bond with her car knocking him down the slope. Keyboards start playing Adele's singing, "This is not the end."

"3 months ago you lost a suspect who was our only lead into Quantum," M to Bond.

Bond, "I got this" holds up neckless.

"A dog collar?" asks M. Bond,

"It may have an address on it, Q's analyzing it now."

So start you're investigate asap Bond, says M.

Bond, "with pleasure."

"Ok Bond", M sits down at his desk.

Bond "with pleasure."

Ya ok Bond, get to it."

Bond "with pleasure"

"Get to it then"

Bond "withhhh ppppppleasure."

"Oh shut up 007!"

"Moneypenny," says Bond, "seems we're having another close shave."

"Yes, James."

"Better your shave then your shot."

"Yes, Bond."

"You can book appointments but you can't book criminals."

"Ok, now."

"So Q, what do you have for me."

"Well its a dog collar and there is an address right here," Q points to it.

"How does it work?"

Q slaps his forehead, "I've booked you a flight to Argentina tonight." Hands Bond plane tickets, with a picture a plane on it.

Bond, "bloody big ship."

"Yes Bond, its a big ship."

Bond, "bloody big ship."

"very good Bond." says Q.

Cut to a Argentina skyline at night, Bond is at a soccer/football game when someone comes up behind him.

"Felix, I was wondering when you would arrive," says Bond..

"What can you tell me about this address," hands Felix the dog collar.

"I know this place, its a pharmaceutical compound the security is pretty relaxed."

Bond enters the compound dressed in black and makes his way towards a large building, the lights on the top floor are on and Bond uses his old fashion knee pad and elbow suction cups to climb to the top. Bond peeks through a window to see the men who escaped him in Canada and it looks like he is about to snipe someone in the other building, as Bond sneaks up and after the sniper takes out his target another fist fight breaks out.  BOOM! BANG! ZAP! Bond throws him out the window, a shadow in the next building of a woman is watching. Bond looks through the snipers belongings and finds a perception for dog medication. Fade to black.

Fade in on the same Macau location in SF but instead its a Veterinarian Hospital. As Bond enters he sees Camille Montes (Olga Kurylenko-QOS). "Don't touch your ear," Bond tells hear through a ear piece. Bond gets the perception filled which he found off the sniper and has a conversation with a woman he recognized from the pharmaceutical compound, "So you neuter pets." "Not just pets." replies the woman introduced as Daddy Longlegs.

Back at MI6 Bond and Camille await Q`s analyses of the perception drugs, which they also gave to two pets. The pets then turned into Godzillia's and terrorizes London, luckily Q hands Bond a ray gun which turns the one pet into Mechagodzilla and the two cancel each other out. Bond then decides he has to leave a trail for the protagonist to follow to the rebuilt Skyfall Lodge in Scotland.

"What's Up S*** kicker?" Asks Kincade. "Some people are coming to kill us, and we're going to kill them first," replies Bond with a dumb smirk

A helicopter nears the Lodge playing "Boom Boom Pow" by The Black Eye Peas. Bond ejects his DBS passenger seat into the helicopter's propellers and it crashes into the Lodge, the protagonist 'Edward Scissorhands' meets Kincade in the small church and kills him. Bond then kills Scissorhands and holds Kincade as he dies. Fade to black.

Open on M's office. "So Bond Quantum was just the tip of the iceberg and you believe Spectre is behind them?" asks M.

Bond, "With Pleasure." Gun barrel, ending credits song sung by Eric Serra. THE END. James Bond Will Return.

I'm so glad some one else got a laugh out of it. I almost didn't post it, I thought it might be to dumb. I just started writing and couldn't not post it, even though it kind of falls apart at the end.

A throwaway line in an interview with Primer/Upstream Color director Shane Carruth, what he wants to happen:

The only James Bond movie I would ever want to see is the one where he loses a hand.

I guess since Daniel Craig has already been in every other major kind of chase (foot, bike, car, boat, plane, etc.), it may as well be time for a ski chase again.

Since the Gunbarrel is at the end, I think next movie will work this way:

1 hour and 45 minutes of movie
Song
About 15 minutes of pre post-title sequence
Gunbarrel

For starters I want another gorgeous cinematography like Skyfall, that was terrific.

But my list would be something like:

-Return of Quantum;

-Blofeld;

-Gunbarrel at the beginning;

-Adele singing the theme song;

-A talented director like Sam Mendes;
