Sold. While I continue to rue the day that Ford stopped playing Ryan and while I doubt that the "series" will ever again hit the heights of CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER and THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, this does seem a fairly promising trailer. Branagh and Costner seem to be on decent form, the action looks okay and the whole thing seems cinematic enough.

Looks very cinematic and huge. No secret I had been vocal about my dis-interest in it, mainly because I felt it wasn't going to be good enough and because I didn't think Branagh was a good choice to direct (simply based on his work with Thor, but he still is an amazing talent). I think out of respect to Tom Clancy, I was going to see it, but I'm actually curious now.
It does have too much of a Bourne/Bond feel to it, rather than the earlier Ryan films, which I loved. Branagh looks good as the villain, and so does Costner. I hope it's more than a mindless, espionage action film, and is actually a very well done Espionage thriller. Other than that, I'll probably see it, but I still doubt it's going to be released in December, and if it is, then they need to kick up the Marketing BIG TIME.

I was very worried about this film - but the trailer really fired me up. Looks like a very tense and intelligent thriller with great action thrown in.
Hopefully, they won´t dump it into January because of the Scorsese situation.

I was very worried about this film
I still am. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (or whatever it's going by these days) doesn't look like a terrible film, judging by the trailer, but it doesn't seem particularly inspired either. After watching the trailer, it just looks like a standard, run-of-the-mill action adventure film in the vein of the Bourne films and, to a lesser degree, the more recent Bond films.

I made it through A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD. Twice. So I'm pretty confident that JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT will do for me very nicely.

They've finally released a trailer for I, Frankenstein, which was set to be the first release of 2014 that I was anticipating. I'll still end up seeing it on Blu-ray, as I'm a huge fan of Yvonne Strahovski, but the trailer definitely shows why this film has bounced around from release date to release date before finally settling for the cinematic wasteland known as January.

Ben Kingsley Says He Filmed a "Secret Marvel Project!"
I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see… I was with many members of the crew that were involved in ‘Iron Man 3.’ It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family… I think they have enormous taste as creative artists. There’s nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they’re great company to keep.

Not that shocked, I'll be getting it too. It's a Director's Cut too, so I hope it will be that violent masterpiece of a Wolverine Film I've been waiting for.

Honestly, in regards to SW: Ep7, this is a J.J. Abrams movie. Does anyone expect it to make it's target release date in 2015?

Aside from not liking Star Wars at all, It will. Arndt's script was probably terrible, and It doesn't surprise me that Abrams and Kasdan are on board to re-write.

With pre-production in full-swing, a confirmed release date of December 18, 2015, has been set for Lucasfilm's highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII.
"We're very excited to share the official 2015 release date for 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture," said Alan Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.
Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams (Super 8, Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek) and is being scripted by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, with Tommy Harper (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Jack Ryan, Star Trek Into Darkness) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds) serving as executive producers. John Williams is returning to score Star Wars: Episode VII.
Shooting is scheduled to begin spring 2014 at Pinewood Studios

I have serious apprehensions about the inclusion of the Nightwing character in BATMAN vs. SUPERMAN. I get that Affleck's Batman is going to be a 'seasoned veteran' in this film, and I understand WB/DC's need to catch up with Marvel, but there's a ton of risk in rushing the tent pole characters to the big screen all at once.
I like the idea of Wonder Woman being hinted at in the last scene of the film or in a post-credits scene (similar to how they alluded to Thor's existence in IRON MAN 2) but I really hope she's not a major player in the film.

It is actually the JUSTICE LEAGUE film they wanted to do, now in a more scaled back version. Could be great or turn out a disaster.
