Select AMC, Regal Cinemas, Carmike Cinemas, Marcus Theaters, and other participating theaters nationwide will run the double-feature for a week in both RealD 3D and 2D.
Of course, Ford is maybe the biggest movie star of my childhood, combining Han Solo, Indiana Jones and a certain replicant. And I always like him, even in bad movies.
But to have him join THE EXPANDABLES worries me. And from that picture I do get the feeling that he is worried as well.
Doesn´t he look like someone thinking "I´m going to be in a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone... something I thought I would never do... I always wanted to stay classy... never to do things just for the money... gee, if I had known I would have to do this film I would have said yes to more Indy movies before, even if they were not directed by Spielberg... and maybe even star in another Star Wars movie directed by George..."?

I'm hoping he's at a point where he wants to show he is a star who enjoys his work, and not one to be too serious to accept his age and his screen personna, which what most of the 'Expendable' cast seem to do. I like the fact he's in this, and am sure he will put 110% in to give us the enjoyment of seeing what he does best in an more "amped up" way!
New trailer for Luc Besson's The Family, in theaters a week from Friday:
There's also a pretty funny red-band trailer that pokes fun at the amount of profanity in De Niro's previous mafia movies, which can easily be found by searching for it on youtube.
Agreed. Also, the idea of having Robert de Niro play another mafia gangster in a comedy is very unimaginative. I always welcome a film featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, though. But neither of them is having a fanbase that would actually turn out to see this in theatres. The whole thing seems pre-packaged before the story actually was sorted out.
Of course, since I haven´t seen the film, it could be very good.

While I'll certainly grant you the fact that the story itself isn't entirely original (tagline on the front cover of the original novel states as much), it's not something that they just cobbled together just to get De Niro into a film to play off of his old gangster persona. Besson's script is based on a 2004 novel called Malavita, which was then translated into English in the UK in 2010 and released as Badfellas and then released again in an English translation in the US as The Family. It's spent a decent amount of time in pre-production, as I recall reading that Besson, who wrote the script, initially wanted someone else to direct the film, but eventually opted to direct it himself at some point after De Niro officially came on board.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the film bombed at the box office. All of these completely unnecessary horror sequels tend to do very well, especially at this time of the year, which probably means that what is sure to be yet another terrible sequel to a horror film that was fine on its own but required no sequel (Insidious) will win the weekend regardless of how good a film The Family is. The Family will get my money on opening weekend, though, if for no other reason than the cast is top-notch, Martin Scorcese is involved, and it looks like it could simply be a good time at the theater.
I don't know if I'd say that Robocop looks particularly good, but I will say that it looks significantly better than I thought it would. That's not saying much, however.

Michael Keaton and Gary Oldman might make it worth seeing.
They just keep adding people to F&F7. I never would have guessed. I also had know idea about the cast of Robocop. Micheal Keaton and Samual L. Jackson, not bad.
International Trailer for MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM. Starring Idris Elba and Namio Harris, looks like a real tearjerker.
JURASSIC PARK 4 gets a release date and a new title!!
JURASSIC WORLD, and will be released on June 12th, 2015
Wasn´t PACIFIC RIM enough? I´ll stick with JURASSIC WORLD (which can only turn out disappointing as well since it can only be repeating the same stuff).
I wish that they'd just let the Jurassic Park franchise go. The studio already ruined the series when they decided to take it away from Crichton's source material with that dreadful adaptation of The Lost World (which was actually a pretty good book) and then followed it up with the TV-movie that was Jurassic Park III. I would have thought that it'd be difficult to top those two films in terms of their stupidity, but judging from the "pitch trailer" that was released for Jurassic World, it seems like they're on the right track to exceed even the lowest of expectations.
