The DVD/Blu-Ray is out in February in the UK and March in the US.

I think it's safe to say this is the final artwork...

Upset that DVD owners will most likely get jipped on the extras for Skyfall, Shame.

Still not upgrading to Blu-Ray. Hopefully a special Two-Disc edition DVD will be launched as well.

Shockingly, removing the blue bar at the top of the slipcover where the Blu-ray logo usually resides actually makes the cover a bit classier than it was before.

With that said, the artwork is still horrendous, but at least the spine of the Blu-ray looks pretty good. I'll give it that. Can't say the same for the DVD, though, as it's pretty bad that even on the concept art for the boxart you can see images from the back cover folding over onto the spine.

I mean, I like the poster artwork (in fact I've got it in my wall since it's the Latin American / Argentinean one), but I expected a new artwork like they always do for VHS/DVD/BluRay. It's not that complicated, they just have to put the same figure of Bond in a different background...

It will certainly stand out on store shelves. I actually like this as cover art. I think it works better for this sort of promotion, while the tunnel artwork is a better full sized poster.

I guess MGM Home Entertainment is going the cheap route using a poster as DVD/BR artwork instead of creating something new and awesome for the cover.

There's something about Bond DVD/BR covers that are just so special and unique.

Certainly. I loved the feeling of waiting for a new Video art. Besides, now I'll have the same artwork repeated twice :/

While removing the blue bar is an improvement, I still don't think is is truly final because it's still missing the good ol' "Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions..." line which I doubt they'd leave off it. I'll probably end up getting the steelbook version. Alternatively, if somewhere down the line they announced an exclusive online "disc only" version that matches the Bond 50 set, I'd likely buy that.

Loved the Collector's Edition DVD of CR that used the teaser poster of Craig sitting at the poker table.

Would really love & prefer the teaser poster of Craig walking down the tunnel / gunbarrel for Skyfall's, but oh well, at least it'll be good to have the film on BluRay.

The cover art doesn't much matter to me. I'll be slipping the disc into the slot reserved for it in the BOND 50 Blu-Ray set.

Perhaps this is the thinking behind the cover art being so bad in the first place. Maybe they figure that the people who actually care about it will have the Bond 50 Blu-ray set and won't use it anyway. It's just a shame that those of us who don't have $200-300 to spend on the umpteenth release of these films who have to put this eyesore on the shelf.

Still pissed that the Bond 50 set was never released on DVD.

I know there have been multiple collector's editions/box sets of the Bond Series released, but still.

I LOVE that artwork. I think that's one of the coolest Bond posters in years. I love the idea that Bond is at the bottom in an action shot and the rest of it is just the movie title and the 007 logo. It's beautiful in it's clean simplicity. Honestly, I love it! The Blu Ray cover is even better than the poster as Bond isn't cut off and without the credits it looks cleaner.

Looking at it again, it does seem silly to have two 007 logos on it (I'd get rid of the gold one), but I'm coming around to it. Still, I hope they offer a disc that matches with the Bond 50 set.

The Blu-ray looks much better than the DVD, probably because everything's closer together. Looks better having "007" after "Skyfall" on the spine. Uninspiring, but kind of nice as it verifies that poster as the final one in my eyes (and that's the one I bought for my wall :D).

Ace... for £50, it can be yours from Amazon...if this is what you mean? :)

And having the 007 logo twice on the front cover...I refuse to take that is the final version. I am very certian it's not.

It is good, in the fact it's simple, bold and almost retro but I think they'll push something else out for the cover - or at least a variation for 1/2 Disc DVDs or special eiditons.
