Not sure if this has been noted yet. Cover art already on Amazon.

Ahh... I expected this to be used as the Box art but somehow I pictured it better in my mind ,
Highly Unlikely but still hope the Blu-ray will be different

There's a link to the Blu-ray art on the page that zencat linked to. It's the same artwork.

Can't say I'm surprised. The artwork for SKYFALL has been abysmal every step of the way, why should we expect it to change now.

I was hoping for the "walking down the gun barrel" poster artwork. That was at least tolerable. Come to think of it... was there even a scene in Skyfall where Bond fired from that position? I can't seem to remember that happening.

I think the teaser poster would've been much better and more Bond Like and classy of course. Hopefully a Two-Disc Special Edition DVD is announced, would be a shame for Blu-Ray to get all the bonus features and not DVD.

I guess the one silver lining I can find here is that they didn't use the teaser poster as the artwork, as I think that's quite possibly the worst poster of the entire series. Not that it really matters, as the posters for SKYFALL are all at the bottom of the heap in terms of Bond posters, so there's not a single one of them that could be used as a decent cover for the DVD/Blu-ray.

Hopefully the artwork can get revised before it hits retail, I mean its only been out for 4 weeks (including the UK) It does seem pretty fast to already have Artwork out.

I like it. I love that movie poster, and I like the choice for the DVD/Blu Ray cover.

Of course, for it's reissue in two years they'll give it new artwork...

Me too. I really like the US poster and I think it works well on the DVD.

Yeah, maybe they'll use the UK poster for a special edition down the line.

Horrible. No class.

Typical, modern action flick style. Would look as good with Jason Statham on it.

Bond should be held to a higher standard. I agree, Skyfall's artwork has not lived up to the movie itself...

Agreed. I kept waiting for even just a "good" poster, but each one has been utterly uninspired and, at worst, terrible. It's like the LTK campaign all over again.

Being a huge steelbook collector (nearly hit the 100 mark), I'm hoping this does get a steelbook release.

Already got the Goldeneye steelbook pre-ordered.

At least LTK had one decent poster. SKYFALL hasn't even managed that much.

As I said before...

"If that's the official artwork I'm Arnold Palmer."

What a creative idea! Inpirational! Poor guy, I sympathize for him... spending hours and hours thinking of a DVD/Blu-Ray cover artwork....

Great to have a release but I'm 90% the artwork will change - Amazon ALWAYS use movie posters as covers before they are changed a month or so before release.

Don't let this get your worries up - it's so early for artwork already as the film's still smashing box-offices globally.

Very early news, so plenty of time for official, real developments! We've not even got artwork or a release date for the DVD/Blu Ray here on .co.uk.

Thanks for the good news zencat! :D

Not bad (price wise) for a hotly anticipated Blu-Ray release. I'll wait until tomorrow (Black Friday) to pre-order though. As far as the case goes, yeah it's a little unconventional, but considering the covers for the new Blu-Ray releases of the previous 22 films, not bad.

EDIT: It seems they have taken down the option to pre-order...guess I'll have to wait.

The one silver lining that I can find is that the Blu-ray album with the other 22 films has a slot for Skyfall, so this cover can be immediately thrown into the bin.

Skyfall has been out all of 2 weeks here in the U.S. I don't even want to think about the video release yet, especially considering I haven't event been back for my second cinema viewing.
