Good point PPK - I had thought about those metal stumps, unless he almost slides down, scrabbling/rolling to one side to avoid them...it will be interesting to see, or maybe the general audience will just 'forget' about them in the moment, and just us die-hard fans and Londoners will pick this up.

And I can't wait to see the papers over the next few days after 'Skyfall' - LONDON UNDERGROUND HIT BY DRUNK 007 IMITATORS - ACCIDENT RATE RISES 70%

After "hanging around" on wires during the Olympics, I wonder if this will the Mayor of London's next publicity stunt? :-))

I believe I have satisfied something that was bugging me. The fall in the PTS for some reason did not seem plausible. Could someone survive a fall like that? So, I looked it up and found that someone actually fell 300 feet onto rock and survived and also someone jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge , ala Max Zorin, and survived! Now he tried it a second time and didn't but the Golden Gate Bridge is nearly 750 feet high! So with Bond being in the great shape that he is and also with his body going limp from the gunshot, to a non vital area mind you, I feel a lot better about the scene now. I know, I'm a nerd and it's just a movie but it was bothering me!

Nice little research there Jazzy. I went to Sydney a number of years back and heard what I can only assume was a factual story about a maintenance man falling from the Sydney Bridge. Though I know he was not at the peak, 440 feet, I know he was working on the beams. Therefore, it may be a comparable 300 feet. Anyways, his safety gave and he ended up falling. This smart chap knew one thing about falling into water from that height - surface tension. If the water's surface isn't disturbed, it's comparable to hitting a brick wall. So as he's falling, he attempts to hurl his hammer in front of him before impact (may have been a different tool). The lucky man survived because of the maneuver. However, he ended up landing on his tool which lodged into his groin area.

Taking this into consideration, a turbulent river could provide the break in surface tension for Bond to survive such a fall and possibly swim out.

Hahaha what an excellent story!

This was shown on MythBusters a couple of years ago, their tests came up with the busted result.

Someone wittier and more erudite than me will have to comment upon tools and groin areas...

Regarding Myth Busters was the myth busted that you can survive it or that you will die? I guess what I'm saying what was the myth? You can survive a great fall or you can't?

JC in one fell swoop has attempted to destroy one of the best cocktail party stories I have ever had, that is if I attended those kinds of things. But I will not give up. For I have the internet and with the internet comes Google. Little bit of digging tells the common story of Vincent Kelly, a construction worker for the Sydney bridge, who fell from 60 meters - though not nearly as high as the 90 or so meters discussed so far - that survived a fall by dropping his utility belt. I found a few articles with some quotes but his name seems to pop up everywhere. I would also assume the Pylon Lookout would be smart enough to do some historical research.

History, for once, may trump science:

http://www.pylonlook...outMediaKit.pdf

And as for Vincient, he went back to work 6 weeks later. Mr. Kelly reporting for duty indeed.

A high fall over water can be survived by throwing a hammer ahead of oneself and breaking the
surface tension.

BUSTED

Dropping a hammer in front of you may break the surface tension, but it will not save your life because water is
still too viscous to move out of the way quickly.

.........my only niggle is he said "Bond.." a little too fast after he was asked...does that make me a picky bad fan?!

Love it though! It just looks like pure style from Deakins and Mendes! :)

It's hilarious how he's so nonchalant during the conversation, as if he couldn't care less who he's talking to, and then when he is asked "Mr?" he delivers the line with such a brutal intensity. I thought the tension might smash my computer screen lol!

AWESOME!! This MORE than makes up for the lack of a "Bond, James Bond" moment in Quantum of Solace... :)

That's probably what it is Shane...it's actually quite perfect when I re-watch it, and think about the current situation Bond is in. He's not taking any nonsense!

Even the way he says "Did I overcomplicate the plot?" is just incredible. So BOND. Maybe it's been the long day I've had, but this is possibly my favourite teaser from the film so far. I literally cannot wait anymore. I'm so worked up, I'm worried I might rupture something hahaha

Insanely stoked for Skyfall, I'm a huge fan of Craig's Bond (so much I even give QOS a pass) and everything looks great so far!
This latest clip especially thrills me. The atmosphere and style really hits the right spot for me, as does Craig's delivery of a particular line…

Ha what a great little clip. He said 'Bond, James Bond' as if he was thinking 'At last, she asked me my name! I've been wanting to say it since 2006! Must hurry and spit it out" I loved the delivery though!

And i must say, despite my assumption that Marlohe was going to be Caterina Murino mark II in terms of acting, Berenice seems pretty good. And looks good too...oh yes, delicious...

It almost seems like Craig is playing a completely different Bond in Skyfall. In a good way.

Nah, he is just playing a Bond that has – after the events of CR and QOS – grown into a more experienced and emotionally settled person.. He is not meant to be as much of a "Bond before he really became Bond" anymore.

Me neither. Have to say agree with everyone else I like the assertive almost snappy "bond...James bond" delivery. fits seamlessly into the scene

That was bloody good. Well done Dan on that delivery. I´m surprised that, after such secretive production, they´re releasing important bits like that one and the other "with pleasure" momment. Still...I remember seeing the first CR clips, got me really excited at the time. QOS got me worried. These bring back fond memories from 2006. Has it really been 6 years?

Thanks!

And indeed, Univex, feels like 2006 for sure. For good measure...
