The fall is nicely done but my only concern is that could someone really survive a 300 ft drop? I know, it's just a movie, but still. Thoughts?

Yeah, right from the beginning I thought the fall was a little ridiculous, but crazier things have happened in the world of Bond, even in the Craig era.... QoS skydive anyone?

I can't watch. I just...can't. So tempting though but I've seen too much almost. My mum said I should never eat sweets after 9. And my friends, it's 9 o'clock from here on out.

My god. This looks amazing! Bonds look of total puzzlement, and then utter horror as the tram comes crashing through!

Just relax...take a deep breath and don't worry about it...just enjoy the movie...I suppose that if Bond fans really made a big fuss over non-realistic tidbits in the Bond films, the series would have come to a grinding halt after You Only Live Twice... :D

Brilliant footage - thanks for the link!

I still think the jump Bond makes down the London Underground escalator is one of the coolest moments to be seen on a Bond film - and it's only the behind-the-scenes snippet!

And I furthermore just love the enthusiasm and passion Daniel Craig has for film-making and the Bond franchise - his work and commitment to these dangerous stunt shots are so commendable, and he's such a dedicated actor, I'm so happy he's our Bond. That train sequence is going to look superb, and all the more for the actors doing their own stunt work for the most!

Some great new footage there.

Agreed. I'm hoping for a full burst of the Bond theme to go with that particular stunt.

There are many many Bond movies you can name like that! :P , Was it Live And Let Die in which the helicopter shoots everywhere around Bond but convinently misses him :P

Some great new footage there.

My only issue with the 'QOS' Mitchell/Bond chase in Sienna was the way they almost glided over the rooftops with the wire-work, and the jumps were a little too ordinary for me, just thundering across and over the tiles which seemed very heavy and brutal and a bit sloppy.

From what this Underground escalator jump seems like to be a very un-obvious method of Bond to take, and the fact it's populated with people and he actually slides down is something that will last a second or two but could look really smart. When Bond uses the environment around him to get to places (not free-running), I think it's where he shines in being smart and slick.

Anyone who uses the London Underground frequently will know that on the bit Bond slides down in the trailer- in reality- there are 'no smoking'/ 'keep right' signs every few feet- little metal stumps for want of a better word with lettering on them that stick out.

So unless he wants to get his meat and two veg battered (again!) as he zooms down the middle, i assume he has slid down the only escalator divider in London without those signs? Lucky him!

Thought the same thing.

But maybe "Octopussy"-like-shooting everything down that would threaten his genitalia had to be avoided...

Yes, they are also there to stop people sliding down the middle. But I have seen people try – late at night, drunk most likely. As they pick-up speed they bash the little signs and sort of ramp over them. It’s certainly noisy and dangerous, looks painful too.

Noisy? Dangerous? Painful? Right up Bond's street then! I'm really hoping we hear the Bond theme kick in as he throws himself forward to slide down the middle. Hoping- but not hopeful.

I quite liked the brutal feel it had, It kind of showcases Bond's struggle to keep up with Mitchell. It leaves a lasting imprssion IMO

Silva's the one who's going to get it in the nuts if anyone is, since he's sliding down there in front of Bond.

Good point PPK - I had thought about those metal stumps, unless he almost slides down, scrabbling/rolling to one side to avoid them...it will be interesting to see, or maybe the general audience will just 'forget' about them in the moment, and just us die-hard fans and Londoners will pick this up.

And I can't wait to see the papers over the next few days after 'Skyfall' - LONDON UNDERGROUND HIT BY DRUNK 007 IMITATORS - ACCIDENT RATE RISES 70%

On the subject of the idiot press and copycat idiocy – what about when Bond jumps onto the back of the moving tub train as it departs the station?

I actually had the same thought about the raised signs on the divider between the London Underground escalators. At least the signs will act as speed bumps to any wannabe copycats! And, as Shrublands pointed out, very amusing to watch (or challenge friends to attempt) after a night out.

There was a video of a chap who decided to ski down the escalator - presumeably he thought this was one way of overcoming the speed barrier things.

That was the guy who did it at Angel, right? And didn't he ski straight down the escalator, not the middle part like Bond is?

I read something about that somewhere: apparently they replaced those signs with fake lightweight ones that popped off as Bond slides down and hits them with his feet.

Bonds quite, um, strong in the pelvic area isn't he, lots of exercise there, he could have his feet on either side of the signs and thrust up as he passes them - a workout and chase at the same time.
