So either the 'Skyfall' mission must really be downloadable as a 'prologue' before the 1st classic mission starts, or after Bond comes around for the finale...maybe it will be something other than the pre-titles we get to play?

I would imagine that it would be a both. There will probably be a playable Skyfall prologue or PTS of sorts after which we get the flashback sequences and then there will probably be more playable Skyfall material after the flashback levels.

http://debrief.comma...title-sequence/

I was under the impression that they would all have a connection through say the Quantum organization.

This is exactly how I thought and wanted it to be (I didn't thought about Quantum, though the concept remains).
Also, if you think about it, the plots tie perfectly together:
After Teresa's death in OHMSS, Bond goes for a vendetta in Licence To Kill, getting his licence revoked just like in Die Another Day.

My excitation level about the game is the following:
Videogame announciation (five classic games + Skyfall): Pre-order with no doubt!
Moonraker as first mission: Day 1
Licence To Kill and Die Another Day missions: waiting for a lower price, about one or two months later.
Bad plot: Lost the whole interest in buying the game. Might get it next year for the achievements.

My only questions with that plot would be if Blofeld appears in 'OHMSS', then wouldn't he need to be there in 'LTK' for Bond to take revenge on the man who killed his wife?

Also, I can't imagine how 'Moonraker' will tie to that story and how Bond would justify going to space and then back again for the plot against Drax. It seems all the bad guys will be there, and I reckon we'll get Goldfinger and maybe Oddjob too for the next villains, so it'd be crazy crazy to link al lthe villains together in one huge plot.

I still think it's the flash-backs to momentous occasions from Bond's career - meeting Tracy, going to space, on a revenge vendetta, discovery of an ice palace and space laser, storming of Fort Knox (possibly).

Then again, 007: Legends could surprise us all. I don't know how, but there's still time!

Have you thought about the possibility that in actuall movie [Skyfall] the opening titles would show us what happend to Bond since Quantum of Solace and then throughout Dr. No up to Die Another Day? Like Skyfall is a sequel to Die Another Day? It would be interesting. Still, hoping for 'You Only Live Twice' for the opening titles of the game.

I highly doubt that. There wouldn't be enough time for Bond to do all 20 missions in just 6 years....he would need 9 years for Goldeneye alone (unless we're talking about the 2010 Goldeneye game). I was initially under the impression that each movie was picked by their box office gross, however, this would be false because TLD actually outgrossed LTK (correct me if I'm wrong). Also, MR and DAD do not fit into the Craigverse, so I'm still wondering how they decided on each film. Personally, I would've picked Thunderball, OHMSS, LALD, LTK, and TWINE in addition to Skyfall. I think they fit in best with the Craig version of Bond, even Thunderball (especially to today's standards) is not too over the top. I would even consider switching LALD with FYEO.

A highly disgusting cover for 007 Legends. Believe me, remain ignorant of it. It's not worth anyones gaze.

I sincerely hope that's a fan creation. It looks bloody awful. Otherwise, I'm probably more excited for this game than most people seem to be. I can't wait to play through it.

If Activision made more of an effort, we'd have gotten Raven's game.

Where did you find this Matthew? Holy [censored]zo, c'mon Activision, we have tons of great designers here and there. Hire us, and the payment could be just the pleasure or a copy of the game. lol

It probably is. I doubt a website like that would be using a fan-made cover to sell the game.

Agreed that it's most likely official, but hopefully it's just one of those stand-in covers that they sometimes use on the websites before the one that will actually be on the boxes is released. If it turns out to be the final version of the box, then it would rival the SKYFALL posters and the American LICENCE TO KILL poster as the worst in the series, regardless of medium.

Well.... that's interesting. I mean, exciting to see classic films being promoted on a current video game. But it lacks any artistic creativity or even some thought about how to really sell that Bond-vibe! I mean, even some hand painted/drawn cover would work better. And I guess 'Goldfinger's out of the bag then?

And unless we're going to fight Jaws in the airplane sequence or meet Jill Masterson, those images from the films shouldn't be used. Again, little thought.

Amazon.co.uk still has the original cover so, let's hold out this is also a temporay cover used to promote the classic films rather than the final selling point. I'm hoping it's a temporary cover as it looks like a fan has inserted images of Bond and the films around the existing 007 Legends logo.

And not even with a Walther PPK? Not very "Lengendary" is he then?

That is pretty rubbish, yeah. Still, nice shot of a (CGI?) Craig.

Mind you, Blood Stone's cover was awful too.

Blood Stone was a little naff but 10 x better than 007: Legends. At least it was a simple, striking greyscale cover with the blood red title/logo and an actual photo of Craig taken from a film.

007: Legends looks like a CGI/photoshopped Daniel Craig with an added gun he shouldn't even be holding and 3 images from the films. It lacks imagination if you ask me..but still nice to see Bond elements coming together.

But, why show Jill Masterson for 'Goldfinger'? That seems very 'cash-in-on-iconic-Bond-images' material that may not have any use in the game - they could have used Fort Knox, or the classic laser table, edited to be darker around Connery's face so you can't quite see him so it could fit in with Craig, but.... oh well, we'll see...!

On the other hand, if this is legitimate - I'm not too concerned with the appalling photoshop because it won't be on my shelf anyways - then it in roundabout way confirms that Goldfinger will indeed be in the game. So, that is a plus I guess.

True...just a little dissapointed. Still, as long as the spine looks good, that will be one show 90% of the time on my shelf so that's ok!

I wonder what the back cover will be like!?

Yeah, it's Craig's face - it looks to clean/smooth/fake and devoid of any humane features apart from the obvious.

At least 'GoldenEye Reloaded' was shrouded in a shadow and 'Blood Stone' was an actual photograph... seems it's a quick job to get a Bond-ish cover out in quick time, less effort.

I feel so picky about this game and feel I've really been negative about some things, but on the premise of when this was announced, I really do feel some elements are a little dissapointing so can't help myself.

Let's hope we get more positive towards the release!

I agree Pete...which in a way actually makes me think this could be a mock-up and not the final thing because I wouldn't have thought Activision put the Bond 50 logo on the game. I don't know why, but just feel it wouldn't be on there. I'm probably wrong thinking this isn't the official cover but I do like the inclusion very much so.
