Yes, but...

Africa has so much more to offer than the background for CR´s chase scene.

So does Hawaii.

Rather oddly, you've named four of my five favourite cities there (the fifth being London or Rio). Never been to Marseilles though. Venice and Istanbul are clearly regular Bond haunts, but they're always welcome. Budapest would be fantastic for Bond, however I think its recent use in the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and DIE HARD franchises may count against it for the immediate future.

The Azores?, apparently Silva´s from there. Portugal has cool cities, Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Braga, ... So continental Portugal and then the 9 islands of the Azores, gorgeous place.

I would agree that Africa would be a great location.

I suppose we wont get any news for Bond 24 until after the SF Blu Ray release....right?

"Africa" is a little broad, it's like saying "Bond should go to Europe."

We talking Egypt? South Africa? Morocco? Congo? Mozambique? Somalia?

South Africa seems like a strong possibility in the short term. Or North Africa, if they feel like a "ripped from the headlines" thing.

I knew someone would mention "The Spy who loved me" Hence I mentioned cliche because even in that movie, we only go to see such structures....when I said egypt I was talking about the "real egypt" as in the streets and more!

A final confratation on the Pyramids would suit me! :)

I would love to see Bond in Australia, simply as it's unknown territory for him, or at least to make a stop there.

New Zealand. Could be a splendid setting for a mad scientist - name of Sauron - experimenting with wedding rings manipulating world leaders. He could reside at the Mordor Lodge, one giant subterranean volcano...

... Or CANADA, that country right beside the United States, and the country that was tied with the UK up until 1982 since it's foundation, and the country that stood beside the UK in the first and second World Wars... where not a single Bond film was filmed, except that tiny bit at the beginning of TSWLM, which was filmed practically at the very top.

Not possible for filming purposes, so inevitably they'd use Morocco like the rest of Hollywood!

Ummm, who says our tie with the UK ended in 1982? We are still tied to the UK through a common monarch, membership in the Commonwealth, shared embassies, and, technically, the UK could repeal the Canada Act and regain control over amendment of our constitution if they wanted to. It's called parliamentary supremacy. The written parts of our constitution are just normal British statutes, they could repeal them if they wanted. Parliament cannot bind its successors.

Unfortunately, it makes little sense to set a Bond film here in Canada. We are neither that important or that exotic. Let's be honest, the world sees us as boring and inconsequential, which makes it hard to believe that anything related to great power international espionage, crime, or terrorism would be based here.

The other site remarks that Anderson Cooper confirmed on 60 Minutes that BOND 24 is in pre-production. However, I see nothing to that effect in the show's transcript. Can anyone who saw the programme confirm or deny this?

Time for some ski- snow scenes: Canada, Niagara Falls and Detroit can be used in a film.

Also
S. Africa (especially Cape Town) Congo, and Australia must be used.

By the way I am from Turkey and Istanbul completed a full time Bond movie:

SF (pre titles)
FRWL ( from the titles to nearly the end )
TWINE ( from the halfway to the end )
