As for theSF image, the three balls are present but no longer in the up-turned V.

Not sure what this is supposed to say, if anything.

All 3 of them have a chevron (up-turned v) and 3 bezants (coins, not gold balls as Bond once called them). This is all also in Fleming’s description in the prose of OHMSS.

The Skyfall image has a distinct chevron and 3 spots around it, which may well be coins (the lighting makes it hard to tell if they are gold).

That could be a left hand on the left, which is also in Fleming’s description (and in Syd Cain’s version).

You may well be right. It's too far off and dark for me to tell.
All the same, I'd be willing to bet it's a set at Pinewood representing the inside of Skyfall Lodge, called something like, "The Great Hall".

Yes, I agree. I imagine we will see some panning shots of Bond on the rooftop and the camera will pull away. Britain saved by Bond, but always vigilant for new threats and ready to offer his services.

I reckon it could easily be both. Small exchange of dialogue between Bond and Eve on the rooftop, she hands him a box and turns to leave. "Good evening Mr Bond" - "Thank you Miss Moneypenny" (or a snappier and more original bit of dialogue). The camera pulls out, the music swells, Bond looks out across the rooftops of Westminster, and the credits roll.

Of course, this assumes that Eve is Moneypenny.

I'm coming around to an idea suggested by some other folks that perhaps Moneypenny is the character identified as "Mallory's assistant."

Yeah, maybe. There's also a character called Vanessa (M's Assistant). She's another possibility.

If Naomie Harris isn't playing Moneypenny, I wouldn't be surprised if her character's full name is Eve Adam (after Ken).

So, just because it is in Turkey and we can see a Turkish flag in the clapperboard photo, doesn’t necessarily mean that it is set Turkey in the film.

Absolutely. Indeed, the scene isn't set in Turkey at all. I wouldn't be surprised if the use of the Turkish flag was a hint of misdirection. Obvious way for them to illustrate where they are.
