That's a strange thing to say. Actually, its more like a rascist thing to say. What does that even mean??Lois Maxwell was the best follow by Samantha Bond as the second best in my view. It going to be hard to top them two in my view, whoever gets the role. Caroline Bliss coming in last. Any way I DON'T want to sound like a racist, but a black Miss Moneypenny can that really work in the bond movies.

Given how much he's gotten right, it'd be surprising if Baz were wrong about Moneypenny, especially given how hard he's pushing the idea. In which case his calling Marlohe a villain is indeed pretty interesting as well.Baz is not going to let this drop. Form today’s Mail...

This bit is interestingJavier Bardem and the little-known French actress Berenice Marlohe will play the latest villains.

Yes, think this is right. In reboot world, there is no Moneypenny. So she can be a field agent.a field agent called eve whose last name may or may not be moneypenny who thinks she's Bond's equal but she's really not

The Bond series has always taken pains to reflect the real world, albeit in a fantastical, funhouse-mirror sort of way. In the interest of preserving the essence of the characters, it's sometimes a good idea to disdain superficialities rather than respect them. There used to be a notion that Bond must always be a chain-smoker, that it was essential to his character. In reality, a man like Bond would once have been a chain-smoker, but today the same kind of man wouldn't be. The character trait that manifested itself as chain-smoking must be expressed by another means. Otherwise Bond becomes a historical curiosity.
Particularly in the case of sidekicks like Felix and Moneypenny, the essence of the characters has never been associated with a particular physical appearance or ethnic background. Both characters have aged and rejuvenated inexplicably. Both have survived being played by Canadians. So if the producers find a good actress who happens to be black, or south Asian, or Mancunian, or whatever else might be plausible in the context of modern Britain, I don't understand the objection. I wouldn't call it "racist", merely superficial.

If so then that could very easily turn out weak and a bit of a lame plot gimmick. It would have to be done.. SUPREMELY well and incredibly creatively.
As for her skin colour.. come on, jeez. This is 2011, what the heck does that matter AT ALL? Moneypenny is not the main character, being radically changed/messed with, in fact she has been portrayed awfully by a few white women. Naomi Harris looks like she'd make a very fine and attractive Moneypenny. That's if she even is playing that character.

It obviously means the world to The Daily Mail, given their agenda of attacking everyone who is different to them.As for her skin colour.. come on, jeez. This is 2011, what the heck does that matter AT ALL?

Actually, I was just trying to make a point. Col. Sun posted "Eve is Moneypenny" without any explanation or evidence. I'm not sure what he is expecting but his working implies access to knowledge. I decided that, in the interests of fairness, someone should post "Eve is not Moneypenny" just to highlight the way he did not bother to elaborate. I cannot prove Eve is not Moneypenny just as much as he cannot prove that she is.
