I didn't know what Shadow and Act was either, but my first reaction was to look it up on the internet rather than assume it was linked in some way to the News of the World. That seemed the natural thing to do.You never explained who Shadow and Act are. For all I know, they're a pair of regular gossip columnists for NotW.
Anyway, I'm extremely surprised that so many news organisations are professing to have got direct quotes from EON. In my mind, EON must either have changed their policies about speaking to the press, or are deliberately spreading misinformation. I guess time will tell.

And she could be like a nuclear physicist or something. And then Bond could be in bed with her and he could be like: "I thought January only came once a year".
Yeah, but she wouldn't be called January in the film, would she? It would be something else. Thanksgiving Smith, or something.
Not a bad idea, Grav. He could get killed halfway and Bond could go on to avenge his death (the revenge angle has been somewhat lacking in recent films). After having seen X-Men:First Class, I think Nicholas Hoult should be cast as 005. He could be, like, Jeremy Renner and Tom Cruise in the new Mission:Impossible movie; you know, a rookie agent learning from an experienced veteran.

I Googled it, too. Didn't get any results.I didn't know what Shadow and Act was either, but my first reaction was to look it up on the internet rather than assume it was linked in some way to the News of the World. That seemed the natural thing to do.

sounds like africa could be on the cards then location wise- shed certainly fit an african m16 agent role or similar
They have black people on other continents too, so I've heard.
wow thanks for that so glad you cleared that up for me- i'm not racist or stupid and since basically the only news we have is something to do with africa - its not exactly an illogical or insulting conclusion to come up with- she's a good actress and im sure shed be great in whatever role she gets if she gets one

Not gonna lie, but I've never heard of her before...Her name is very catchy though. I will have to check out the films she's been in like Pirates.
She also played in After the sunset, with Pierce Brosnan. I'm surprised you didn't see it. It may please you.

we might get our first casting bit by the end of the week. though she has a pretty face and I had no problems with her actin in POTC can someone direct to a hotter pic of her I'm trying to find one on google and most of her pics don't show her showing off her body.
Ms. Harris was in the big screen version of MIAMI VICE. She has a love scene with Jamie Foxx.
Granted, this is still rumor territory but I like the choice. She's done action (28 DAYS LATER & NINJA ASSASSIN), heist flicks (AFTER THE SUNSET) and comedy (STREET KINGS). She doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous, because I think the role she plays, the screenplay and her performance will make her sexier than she appears.

Meat Loaf was originally cast as Renard in THE WORLD IS NOT EOUGH

Yep yep. Watching her in 28 Days, always thought she'd be great in a Bond flick.Granted, this is still rumor territory but I like the choice. She's done action (28 DAYS LATER)... because I think the role she plays, the screenplay and her performance will make her sexier than she appears.

It would be wonderful, and so we could see her in a few movies.
Just like a kind of Moneypenny, only better.

It is very interesting that in the last eight Bond films and 24 years, there has been...... ONE black Bond girl.
Now, I have no real problem with it -- films shouldn't be cast simply to fill politically-correct check boxes -- but that is very odd, isn't it? Especially considering that three Bond films were made during the PC and progressive 90s.

Probably simply due to market research with white female characters doing just as good with the audience as black ones would. Had the figures shown a different result we'd have seen a greater variety of ethnics. Probably will be the case in the near future.

Maybe -- but you're suggesting that all of the sudden men's taste in women magically changed? Hot black women were as attractive in 1995 as they are in 2011.

Rosie CarverGloria Hendry plus Halle Berry equals two.
Yeah I know, that's why I said last eight films. Rosie Carver, MayDay, and Jinx are the only three. Bambi and Thumper, but they weren't true BondGirls. So that's three TOTAL in 48 years of film.

My guess is that they have taken their creativity to whole new level by making Q both female AND black.
Naomie Harris as Moneypenny or a female Q??
Oh please! The woman is Bond leading lady material.

I, for one, agree with you DR76. And if people are still hanging on to the fact she´s black (I can´t see why is that a matter of discussion), she´s way hotter then that wanttobeactresswhowonanoscarjustsotheacademycouldbeoftheracistfingerpointing Halle Berry, and I happen to believe most beautifull women in the world are black.
