Well I wouldn't be reading these comments if she had been green. Can't stand greenies. Send 'em back where they came from, I say.

Then why do you have one of those filthy greenies as your avatar?

;)

Well, yes, she became a citizen of the U.S. in 2007, but that's not really relevant. In the U.S. the media loves to call some people "African-Americans", even though those people weren't born in Africa, have never been to Africa, and could not find Africa on a world map if their life depended upon it. So how is it that people who were never born or raised in Africa can be referred to as "African-American", but Charlize Theron, who *WAS* born and raised in Africa before becoming an American citizen gets no credit for also being the 2nd African-American woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress? Why is Charlize Theron not referred to as African-American?

They're called AFRICAN-AMERICANS, not Africans. Jesus Christ. And they are of African descent, and not of European descent, but born in Africa.

Some scientists agree that there was not only an African origin, but also an Asian. But... is this discussion really important here ? ;)

I like her. I think she'd make a good Bond girl - possibly a British agent working with Bond.

And I bet you she gets told that this Bond girl will be "tough, and 007's equal".

Interesting little interview with her in the new edition of EMPIRE (August 2011) which may be available online; largely the same as what has gone before although the audition scene was the Casino Royale train dialogue. Favourite Bond girl apparently Grace Jones.

SO that´s why she refered to Vesper as being the "new age Bond woman". Good then. Was afraid she meant Hell(e) Berry

If it is true then why not Naomie Harris playing Miss Moneypenny. From what i've seen her in i think she is a good choice. Black, white, asian, martian who cares.

I wonder . . . if Naomie Harris had been white, would I be reading these comments about how she would be more suited in a Moneypenny/Ponsonby role, or criticisms of her looks?

Ah, the sweet old song.

I expect you would be reading them, yes.

Well I wouldn't be reading these comments if she had been green. Can't stand greenies. Send 'em back where they came from, I say.

I think they're from a planet orbiting a star in the Orion constellation. Your criticism aside, I thought the green girl with the red hair in the recent Trek movie was damned hot.

Must disagree with you. The hottest concentration of Bond Women per square inch was in MOONRAKER. From Lois Chiles to Irka "Can I interest you in something" Bochenko...there wasn't a dog in the bunch.

Oooooooooo Irka ;) Yeah, but to each his own I guess. Claudine Auguer and Luciana Paluzzi or Eva Green and Caterina Murino would be my choice in what Bond women are concerned. But i digress here, I usually tend to think of all women as beautiful. About Naomi, I definatly can see her as Moneypenny, depending on how she´s written on the page of course, I think she exudes some kind of smartness and is definetly very pretty. As long as we don´t have another [censored] kicking Bond equal pro-feminist girl. Women are better than men because they´re women, not because they´re better men. And on the race thing, it sure isn´t a thing for me, can´t see why it has to be a subject of discussion. A pretty woman is a pretty woman. And Naomi is definetly a very pretty woman.

And about agreeing with you Grav, it´s like the weather here, somedays are sunny, some days are not ;) But I do appreciate your views on stuff, even if I don´t agree with them sometimes

All will be assimilated to my way of thinking at some point.

G.roceries O.n D.emand save us all ;)

Cheers

What I find strange is that if Harris is playing Moneypenny, and I'm not saying she isn't, why did her auditions involve scenes from QOS? She should have been doing scenes from the films that involved Penny. Maybe she just said QOS to throw people off if indeed this is the case.

I just hope she isn't a reincarnation of Samantha Bond's smart mouthed, annoying portrayal of the character. Still, if the film is anything like QOS or/and the Brosnan films then I won't care anyway.

I think Harris's looks are a bit above average which is appropriate for Penny. If she is M's new secretary then I think she's a good choice.
