Chapter 5

Fairytale of Helsinki

A little taste of the torture scene.

He locked eyes with Bond, and began to crank the handle again.
The sides of the cage bit into Bond’s flesh; and immediately he was forced to remain still.

With an air of superiority, Sharvin took his time to view Bond as he sat naked and immobile in the cage.

His pock marked cheeks cracked, and his thin lips parted into a cruel smile
“Usually the animal is sedated…before we begin, but…”
He looked around the room “...I have forgotten the sedation”

“That’s a shame”

Sharvin picked up a different scalpel. It had a wickedly cruel curved blade

Slowly he ran it down Bond’s forearm, it effortlessly shaved off the hair
“Don’t want you getting a nasty infection do we”

Bond shook his head “Absolutely not”

He scraped away at the skin
“There, now let us begin” he readjusted the scalpel in his hand and pushed the blade against Bond’s arm.

The pressure of the blade dented and then punctured Bond’s arm.

The skin split open.

So where is chapter 6?
come on mate I go back to work on Monday and i need my fix

loved the torture scene, and i think Richard Roxburgh would be perfect, i know him from Sherlock Holmes film on the tv but i remember him as a villian in Mission Impossible 11
I think he would blend into the undercover work at the institiue better than Schriber.

LOL
Thanx guys

Don't worry, Chapter 6, is ready for submission.
I was waiting for Harry to put the final MIDAS GOLD chapter on, but don't want to disappoint.

I know there's a timetable to keep to, to allow Mr.Terminus his Feb publishing slot.

Chapter 6

The Kirov Conspirency

Where Bond finally meets Skedar

“To gamble everything on a single play is very dangerous, Mr. Bond”

“But the Double 0 gives me the best odds”

“Odds can change, Mr. Bond”

“But my number remains the same”

“Then I guess you’re a dangerous man, Mr. Bond”

“Then I guess you’re right”

“I can see now you’re a double 0 man”

“Then you know why I’m here”

Schreiber, gets his role Mr. MANIC

Chapter 6 now up.

OK, so all the players are now introduced.

We know that 007 stands firmly on the "Good" side, but who can he trust?

Bill Tanner?
Felix?
Jenifer?
Mila?

I think it is safe to say that SKEDAR stands for the "Evil" side, and his cohorts line up to make the odds pretty steep.

Mr. Manic
Ivan Sharvin
Major Tomas Sharapov
Bee

Some characters are still to play their hand.

M - Barbara Mawdsley, is she the traitor, or the fall guy?
M - Charles Burrows, is he the traitor, or the fall guy?
Bill Armstong, Spy or fall guy?
Ben Toliver, Spy or fall guy?

Brilliant loved it. I waited months for the scene with Bond saying But my number stays the same.

I couldnt see how you were going to work it but it was brilliant

Your post on the odds has really got me thinking who is behind the plot.

I wont say who i tink it is in case i get it right or completely wrong.

Lev Schriber as Manic is inspired, I sw the pic before reading it and saw him straight away in the role.

Naturally Megan Fox floats my boat as well so I can really get into the story now

I will read Harry during the week and look forward to more Bombshell next weekend

Sorry for the wait for feedback - excellent installment of the story. I could picture the tension as Bond ran up the stairs, rather thrilling piece of prose.

Am thoroughly picturing Stellan Skarsgaard as Skedar, by the way.

Thanks Terminus, Automan, Harry

I desperately wanted to use Micky Rouke as SKEDAR but old Stellan just wouldn't get out of my head.

So...

...All the pieces are in place.
The action moves along very quickly now, as Bond begins searching for the Lear jet.

Chapter 7

The Lake

Will be submitted at the weekend.

To allow the story to crack on, I have tried to fill in the background, foundations and reasons in the form of flashbacks, deliverd to SKEDAR whilst at the lake where the Lear crashed (no its not a spoiler - you should have read about that in TO KILL AND DIE FOR)
I'd be interested to know if you all think it works or the idea was "pants"

Still - 6 more chapters to go, and then I'm off on another research mission (some would call it a holiday)

When I return I will start on my next BOND project.

I'm not using this title now but thought I'd put this mock up on for comments.

And my promotion to Lieutenant just came thru as well.

Thats a good enough reason for a little Vesper.

Can you keep a secret?

New new Volante Fan Fic is taking shape

It's title?

A SECRET TO THE GRAVE

If a teardrop held a secret
and it fell upon the ground
it would soak into the earth
and wait there to be found

and when you find that secret, you become it's lover.
You can never let it leave your heart
You can never tell another

But when a man knows a secret
and it burns upon his skin
he must tell it he must sell it
he must purge himself of sin

and when you keep that secret, you become it's slave.
You can never tell another soul
You must take it to the grave

Thanks, I got a bit carried away with finding a tag line, and came up with poem.
I will engineer that into the text.

Anyway back to BOMBSHELL

Chapter 7 is now in for submission.

The Lake

M asked the question directly to Bond
“I thought Remoziva was dead?”

Bond confirmed “He is. Killed by the Russians”

M pondered “Were there any clues to the name of the spy, on the Bombshell transmissions?”

Bond shook his head “No; the Bombshell information from Vigilant, only told us that the Lear didn’t crash in the North Sea. The Russians are using the co-ordinates taken from their spy stations. They think they have a head start”

Read it last night before I hit the bed and didn't get round to leaving my comments. This is an excellent chapter, all the better for taking time out of the plot-twists and giving us some clarification on what exactly has been going on in the story. And that ending - the crash - it'll be interesting to see how you will resolve that.

Chapter 8

Death of a Sparrow

Teaser

On the shore of the lake, Nathanial Skedar looked down at the body.

He had seen corpses before, but none that had been underwater.

The bloated face mocked his own appearance and he felt his resentment rising again.

He knew he would have to be strong; for what he had in mind there would be many more dead to be viewed.

Skedar likes to play god. In the bible it says "Not even a sparrow shall die without god mourning its passing"

Which came first

Chapter 8 OR 800 downloads of BOMBSHELL????

Make sure you have read the story so far.

From the depths of the Baltic Sea, a Royal Naval submarine intercepts a single covert transmission; revealing the existence of a Russian spy as that of a prominent UK Banker.

James Bond embarks on a mission to determine the fate of the suspect. But soon discovers he is not alone in his search.

As the World prepares for war, its fate hangs on the questions posed by a Church of death and a man of vision

When Bond discovers the answers, he is propelled on a roller coaster ride to stop a disaster of biblical proportions.

As time runs out, the odds against Bond grow longer, until he is forced to take the ultimate gamble.

“To gamble everything is dangerous, Mr. Bond”
“But the Double 0 gives me the best odds”
“Odds can change, Mr. Bond”
“But my number remains the same”
“Then I guess you’re a dangerous man, Mr. Bond”
“Then I guess you’re right”
“I can see now you’re a double 0 man, Mr. Bond”
“Then you know why I’m here”
