Prologue

I have to say I didn't realise that the action was set in French Polynesia, aside from the mention of Papeete and the name of the bar, but it was a good action sequence that probably suffered from the formatting that the board can sometimes force onto posts.

That being said, it's an excellent piece of writing with a detailed action scene that I've come to expect from your writing. Keep it up and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this latest adventure you've written.

At last the wait is over!!!!
Very good opening Paul, had the feel of a movie PTS about at that I really enjoyed. Couldn't fault the atmosphere or the action - 2 of your decided fortes, IMO.
Two queries, what spell check are you using? I cut and paste these and I picked up a few mis-spells.
Second, around about page seven there's a paragraph where Bond carries a human shield and (I know I'm fussing, I am a big pain in the rear) the words "dead" and "weight" appear a hell of a lot!
Otherwise a more than excellent start. I also re-read the epilogue to ToKillAndDieFor, just to remind myself where the story was at. I hope these connections come fast!
Great stuff, Paul!

Chapter 1

An interesting set-up, with one interesting semi-error - given this is a fictional approximation of the real world and, thus, Ben Tolliver is a fictional character, the position of First Secretary did not exist at the time the installment takes place. It was vacant from June 2007 until June 2009. That being said, this is a fictional approximation of the real world, so the position could effectively exist at that point.

Curious to see where this leads, am assuming the presently missing weapons will crop up at a later point - can't wait to see what this Burrows fellow is like and exactly how M got removed from office.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback, very encouraging.

I'm pleased you are interested enough to be wondering about what happens next.

All I can say is that the story skips along at this pace as the plot unfolds.

I will pay attention to the "repeat use of words" I usually pick up on that, so point taken.

I will work out the best dates to put the next chapters on (so as not to clash with the final MIDAS GOLD)

That should ensure an action packed Xmas break

I couldn't bloody resist.

There I was planning to read BOMBSHELL after I finished my own story but curiosity the bitch got the best of me.

So, fag (cigarette to the Yanks out there) in one hand and a glass of bubbly in the other, I sat back and read your Prologue.

What can I say? Simple:-

It is the best 'opening sequence' I have read in one hell of a long bloody time and that is not bull[censored]!

The scene at the end really managed to touch me.

B) me dead!

You're a damn good writer, Paul and Bombshell looks like it’s going to be the Fan Fic Bond event of the year!

Thanks for your kind words Harry.

Its really encouraging to know all the long nights of talking to myself, and walking through fight sequences have paid off.

I enjoy putting the ideas down on paper, so if you all enjoy reading them, we have a good Bond (see what I did there)

Anyway,

Chapter Two

Men of Neptune

Will be on line 5th Dec.

enjoy!

Chapter Two is now on line.

I aim to put a chapter on every week

Therefore the FINAL chapter will go on weekend Feb 12th (Which is lucky because that's when I go on holiday next - Also that should take us nicely into Termius' For Queen and Country)

As with Ian Fleming I intend to use my time in the sun for drinking Martini's and writing my next Fan Fic

An excellent chapter - rather liking this new version of M (am I alone in picturing Albert Finney in the role?) and rather taken by the character of Jennifer Foxwell. Can't wait to see what happens with the return to the Vigilant and Bond's eventual extradition.

Thanks for another vote of confidence with Chapter Two

I wanted the charicter of Jenifer Foxwell to be bright and trusting. but also insecure and vulnerable.

I felt Naomi Watts gave just the right perforamnce in King Kong and The Ring.

She is also very sexy and extremely beautiful.

I'd love to hear anyone else's take on who you see Chrles Burrows looking like

Good casting for M.

Murphy was also in 28 Days Later and Red Eye, but I agree Rupert Everett is a good candidate.

I'm making a few notes as I go, Paul, but I don't want to give a full review until I've read the whole thing, because otherwise I can't judge how the whole story pans out. Currently I like it, but with reservations.

I am intrigued by the effect these dodgy MI6 chnages will have on our esteemed hero... I sense chaos and betrayal!

The 'kidnap' of Jenny Foxwell seems irrelevant; surely her mission could have been explained in Scotland, I can't see the point in dragging her 400miles south, just to send her back again, for what purpose? I am sure you have a reason - I sense a double-twist somewhere - and that's why I won't be giving much feedback until the end of Bombshell, I don't want to second guess the writer and I'd rather give you my over all impression.

Generally, some good work and very thorough research!
Chris

p.s. excellent pun BTW: Jenny Foxwell! hehe, Fleming would approve! and so would Chris Wood!

Thanks Chris,

Its no use fishing; I wont give the plot away.

But a clearing of story is quite in order.

It does state that Moneypenny, M and Tolliver are in the Scottish office.

There is no "Kidnap" of Jenifer. The SAS went for the spy ARMSTRONG.
Jenifer was extracted from his clutches, and taken to the Scottish office to be briefed by M and Ben.

Im glad you picked up on the name. Wait till you see how 007 deals with her.
