I'd love to see a car chase between classic racing cars, like the Lotus 49c and the Ferrari 312B at somewhere like Goodwood, or another classic car revival meeting. Kind of like Bond and Goldfinger one-upping each other over golf, Bond and Drax hunting pheseants, Bond and Zorin on horseback and even Bond and Graves over fencing (the one scene I quite liked because I thought it was so innovative that they kept switching weapons, even if they did have an unexplained proficiency in everything from sabre to broadswords to katanas).

I'd like to see that race from FOR SPECIAL SERVICES in a future film.

I haven't read it ... what was it?

Also, watch this video; it's an ad Shell and Ferrari did togeher and retty much any of the cars (except from the ones in Rio onwards) would be perfect. I mean, just listen to that engine note ...

It's Gardner's secound Bond novel. Bond univeils a plot to raid Cheyenne Mountain by a revived SPECTRE. The car race was the classic friendly rivarly. Bond was driving a Saab 900 but I forgot what his opponent was driving, it was a good race though.

That's kind of what I was getting at: Bond is following a villain who has a passion for classic cars, and meets him at an event like Goodwood. Said villain challenges Bond to a friendly race in two of the cars he owns, and Bond accepts. Bond loses, but the villain tells him it is how we lose rather than how we win that defines us, and he extends an invitation to Bond to come and visit him and his operations somewhere else in the world because he was impressed with the way Bond fought to the very end in the race.

Some interesting views here.

I'm mirroring some of the above listed notions as I've only skimmed the above, but...

- A PTS with Bond and Leiter - Maybe tracking someone down in Europe. Nothing to do with the whole of the film, but an unrelated wrap up to some previous assignment between CIA and MI6.

- Bond in America - Somewhere he hasn't been. Would be kinda fun to see him back in Vegas, but the Midwest or Northwest would get my vote. Of course, I'd love to see him in Seattle - Eon: Just email me for ideas and locales and contacts on that one. :(

- Give the whole "Quantum thing" a break for this one. Give us a villian without a "God complex", just out for himself and a good scheme.

- By all means a Femme Fatale' - She could be the lead or just a deadly compatriot. Along the lines of Xenia or Fiona.

- Keep the story strong and the action to three or four major sequences. Make one unique. Something that hasn't been seen before.

- Bond and the baddies in a game of style or skill. Tennis, pool or bring back a round of golf. No gambling, but a side bet. Maybe even something as simple as a game of one-on-one basketball. Hardly glamorous, but could be nicely done. I know many may view that as a little "blue collar" for 007, but it *could* work.

- Kick the Bond theme in just a little more in the score.

- Gunbarrel opening - Abso - *ryhmes with "ducking" - loutley.

Take it from there everyone.

- More Bond/Leiter development
- Mr. White
- Consistency on the DN/FRWL tone
- More Bond/Leiter development
- A gunbarrel that satiates the ravenous hunger of the gunbarrel addicts
- A quality cast
- More Bond/Leiter development
- Interesting typography for the TS and location cards again.
- A title song that isn't trying so hard to be "Bondian."
- More Bond/Leiter development

- new and previously unused locations (Australia, Africa, China, Canada)
- a distinct style not copying QOS or CR (I´d really love the Cuaron-directed-long-continuous-takes)
- an untroubled relationship between Bond and the Bond girl (um, Bond-woman, sorry) that ends with the Bond-woman going back to her previous lover/fiancé (like Gala Brand)
- a (not too long) diving sequence with Craig
- a skiing chase with Craig
- another Quantum villain like Greene without uncovering the main villain already
- a TSWLM-kind of relaxed and fun adventure (nevertheless tied into reality)
- more Felix Leiter involvement
- more Mr.White
- a last Dench-"M"
- a re-invention of "Moneypenny" and "Q" (but only if necessary to the plot)
- nothing that could provoke a critic to use the word "Bourne" again (although that is probably not possible until the next generation of critics have forgotten about "Bourne")

I want
- Olga returning
- Mr. White
- more development of relationship with Felix
- bring back Villers (spelling?)
- memorable dialogue
- bring back Q OR Moneypenny
- development of Bond/M relationship
- development of Bond as a womanizer
- just development!
- director like Vaugn, Mann or Cuaron
- more of Dan's gorgeous body :(
- not trying to catch Bourne
- more subtle jokes (in the vein of Qos's "chains" joke or CR's "last hand")
- unused locations
- European Bond girls and villain (Bruno Ganz is welcome!)
- bad russians :)
- characters speaking different languages a la QOS
- ridiculous moments of Bond teasing villains (like CR's torture scene) :)

I'd like a signer in the corner of every screen telling the fair weather Bond fans that this is where a nuance is, this is where a subtext is and this is where James Bond 007 is heading onscreen.

1) opening gun-barrel (liked the QoS one though)

2) "Bond, James Bond" (Dr.No esque)

3) A slow song for the title theme, haunting (Fiona Apple)

4) More Walther

5) I dig the art-house/action film concept - more of this pls

6) More Craig and Dench scenes - these work really well

7) one big moment in the film where Bond theme is used, but not more than that

8) Craig in a tux with a silenced Walther killing someone who doesn't see him coming - like at the end of CR

10) Bond calling the main villan insane (but much cooler than that), like in Dr. No

11) Mark Forester

12) "the Hildebrand Rarity" as title

13) More Bourne suff that really isn't Bourne stuff if you compare closely and who really gives a crap anyway because Bond has been around a lot longer and will be around long after Bourne is gone so who really gives a flying crap

I want to see:

Craig with dark hair (let's say he dyes it for a mission and keeps it that way), or an acknowledgement of the codename theory.

Moneypenny.

Q.

The gunbarrel back at the beginning.

More comedy.

Gadgets and some really cool, far-out stuff a la DIE ANOTHER DAY.

Title sequence by Danny Kleinman.

Production design by Peter Lamont.

No "romantic" or "personal" aspects to Bond or his mission.

Sylvester Stallone as the head of Quantum, ideally also directing the film and co-writing the script with Haggis, Purvis and Wade.

- new and previously unused locations (Australia, Africa, China, Canada)

Australia would be good. I'd like to see parts of central Africa used, such as Kenya or The Congo; it would be good to get Bond back into a jungle. Canada would be good, but Alaska could be even better if the plot involved oil or energy independence. Any venture into Canada should include snow sequences in or around Whistler, along with an extended stay in British Columbia (a very picturesque city). I'd also suggest Norway, Finland, or Sweden.

- an untroubled relationship between Bond and the Bond girl (um, Bond-woman, sorry) that ends with the Bond-woman going back to her previous lover/fiancé (like Gala Brand)

Well, didn't we kind of get that with Camille? I'd like to see a Bond Girl that's clearly going to come back for the next film. Do something different. Have the same lead Bond Girl for two films.

- a last Dench-"M"

Agreed. I think she's getting a bit too old to realistically play this part much longer. Let Dench decide what to do with her character; maybe kill her off.

- a re-invention of "Moneypenny" and "Q" (but only if necessary to the plot)

I'd like to suggest Saffron Burrows for Moneypenny. (http://images.askmen...s-picture-2.jpg) I think we need a more sexyful Moneypenny this time than the dour Samantha Bond; maybe give her some field assignment with 007 or have her get involved in the assignment somehow and be put in danger. Let's really bring this character into the next decade with more to do.

Let's also bring back the title sequence with some style, sophistication, and excitement. This effort by MK12 was an abomination. It used muted earth colors that didn't excite the senses. It kept out most of the traditional elements of the title sequences (nude and/or silhouetted women; guns, fire, etc..)

Not sure about Saffron Burrows. She´d be more interested in gettin M´s kist off than Bond,if you know what I mean.

Why have Craig ? He's awful. It's time for a black Bond.

3. The return of Q, Moneypenny

Daniel Craig has hinted that these characters may return in Bond 23, but "done in the right way". This means they will possibly be very serious characters and may even have some personal revenge story that drives them!

They did that with Bond and Camille in QUANTUM OF SOLACE. I don't think they're going to apply that to Q and Moneypenny in the very next film ...

A couple other things I'd like to see in Bond 23:

  • A cliffhanger ending. Have it look as though Bond has failed his mission, or actually have him fail, perhaps with Bond watching in horror at the end of the film as the villain's plan has come to some level of fruition.
  • Have it be revealed that Quantum has no leader, but is rather an organization that can quickly replace the members that it loses. Just when Bond thinks he's taken out the leader of the organization, have Quantum respond in some way to let Bond and the rest of the world know that they're still a functioning organization. This could, potentially, tie in with a cliffhanger ending, with the film ending with Bond dispatching who he thought was the head of Quantum, only to have the very last shot of the film be Quantum responding to that action by Bond in some way.

okay.
1) everything casino royale had
2) a good old 23 second gunbarrel sequence after the roar of the Lion and Daniel Kleinman for some good blood and a shinny gun
3) A really good legendary title song with a woman by herself (no more duets)and Daniel Kleinman for a great title sequence with naked girls and guns
4) a meeting at MI6 with Bond being greeted at M's door by Miss Moneypenny
4) Q in the basement with his gadgets and Bond's Aston Martin DBS ready for Bond to destroy (the gadgets not the car)
5) an incredible, unimaginable plot like the old days involving Quantum, like SPECTRE back in the day.
6) A strong woman that actually sleeps with bond and makes it to the end of the story
7) "Bond, James Bond" :)
8) "one dry Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred"
9) over 2 hours long!!! (please
10) the bond theme must return to the movie in full in some great action scene where Bond is left for dead.
11) Martin Campbell!! (CR martin campbell not DAD martin campbell)

What I want most is Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli, but unfortunately he is gone; hopefully his daughter and son in law can take his beloved character to new heights :(

Bond 23 -

Fleming titled.
Yusef returning (ala Mr. White in Quantum Of Solace).
Mr. White returning.
Camille returning.
No Q, but if he makes a return, he goes by Major Boothroyd.
Keep the Quantum Of Solace atmosphere.
"The name is Bond, James Bond."
"A Dry Martini, with three measures of Gordon's, one of Vodka, half a measure of Kine Lillet, shake it over ice, then add a thin slice of lemon peel."
Felix Leiter played by Jeffrey Wright.
M played by Judi Dench.
A connection between Quantum Of Solace. Like CR and QOS.
Aston Martin.
Music by David Arnold.
Action.
Keep the humour like in QOS.
And of course, Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Things I'd love to see....

  • A Fleming title. (The Hildebrand Rarity)
  • A LITTLE bit lighter than Quantum of Solace BUT still staying faithfull to the Craig era.
  • Q and Moneypenny making a return.
  • Camille making a cameo BUT not as the main Bond girl: Maybe her and Bond could date for a while but realise the relationship is not going to work and they go their seperate ways.
  • Mr White making a comeback.
  • The Quantum story arc continued.
  • Judi Dench as M.
  • Christopher Nolan directing.
  • Paul Haggis getting full control of the script. Purvis and Wade out.
  • Kleinman back.
  • The traditional gunbarrel.
  • More action than Casino Royale, less action than Quantum of Solace.
  • Arnold returning to compose and having full control over the title song.
  • Great Dry Humour.
  • Felix Leiter.
  • More of the Bond theme, one thing I missed in Royale and Quantum.

What would be on my list of things to see:

- A not-necessarily Fleming, but Fleming-esque title. (Although The Hildebrand Rarity would be nice to see)
- A transition scene showing Judy Dench's "M" handing the title over to a male successor
- As suggested by most, the return of Q and Moneypenny (but only if it suits the story)
- Jeffrey Wright to return as Felix Leiter, with more of his and Bond's friendship shown to develop
- Continuation of Quantum story arc
- Possibly the "Bond assassinating M" storyline from TMWTGG (Maybe with Bond losing his memory in PTS and attempting the assassination straight afterwards - time lapse mentioned)
- More use of the dry, sophisticated humour
- Gunbarrel back to the start
- Appearance of other 00 agents - who don't just die in the PTS, but play a vital role to the story
- More chances for Craig to show his "classy, sophisticated Bond"

All very good sugestions.

  • I wouldnt mind Sam Worthington as Bond: He has the look. And he was runner up to Daneil Craig in Casino Royale.
  • Gadgets
  • Daneil Craig being killed in the PTS, and then "Replaced" by a different "James Bond".
  • M being killed in the PTS and John Clese becoming the new M. Desmond Lylelwen look-a-like as Q.
  • A girl with a rambo/lesbian/masculine addtitude that dual weilds desert agles or mac10s.
  • Aston Martin One77. (More like aston martin 007!)
  • Bond using a syringe in a scene to dispatch of an enamey
  • Bond killing a villan with a Sniper or his Walther. No more Boss-enemy syle finales. Bond should just kill the villan, then his henchman (With little effect) try to get Bond.
  • Walther P99 or PPS.I do like PPK's but this is 2008, and Bond23 being out in 2011, we need something fresh and original.. PPS is the modern PPK. It is in 9mm, small, compact, and 8 round capiciy. A PPK/S would be ok, but weird indeed.
  • A female villan
  • A shadow of Bond having sex, showing his fav posoition (this is when it gets sicky).
  • Another shadow thing like at the end of TWINE
  • More shadow scenes like in DAD
  • I will stop mentioning sexual things
  • ShadowOnTheSun from mi6forums.com as an extra, seen as the innocent victim of a mis-aimed RPG attack.
  • Rocket Launchers (RPGs)
  • AR15 full auto pistols
