What we can add to the M situation is that she appears to already be in Bolivia by the time that Bond has returned from the middle of the desert with Camille after the plane attack, suggesting she was already planning on flying out, and perhaps that she discovers the body.

I am still thinking this is mostly true. I agree the fates of Elvis and Camille cast doubt onto this, but some of the other stuff seems to be spot on. Just 2 weeks to Go. :(

CM007 said he saw a screening in the "Daniel Craig interview with first film clips" thread. Didn't give much information, just said the movie was very Bourne.

Honestly I juust had an idea.

I feel if bond quits at the end we may have an interesting take on the "do the mission" with out it getting personal

What if Bond utlizing his skills and being unsure of who to trust quits MI6 to figure out who is on his side and who is not you could have M figure out early on in the film and Help 007 on his goal of getting rid of the doubleagents in both MI6 and the CIA .

I just think the idea of Bond completing "his own mission" (which would be to the good of MI6) is nice twist on the Bond gets mission bond does mission without it seming personal I mean clearly if you were in bond shoes wouldn't you want to "clean house"

I think that there was some stuff in there that was new, and not based on what we already know(some specifics about the opera sequence(Bond eyeing up a quantum man and then nicking his Tuxedo as it fitted better), the ending, No Bond,James Bond, exact details of how fields died and how she was found, with M present), so I can't decide, if YOLT was lucky, or was a feeder endorsed by EON, or whether he saw a rough cut which has since had the scenes changed(e.g Camilles fate) as he said he saw a 2 hour cut of the film. The 2 sticking points for me are Elvis's and Camille's fate. Everything else looks though it could happen from what we have seen(even since the YOLT review was published)
2 weeks time can't come quick enough. :(

It's kinda funky thinking that after QOS comes out we have to wait another year to know anything about #23.

ForMathis, the oil thing was a rumour before the review, I'm almost certain of it. Gemma Arterton let slip that Fields came to "a sticky end" after the January press conference when the title was announced - she tends to answer anything she's asked - and speculation ws rife that she was drowned in oil, though this was largely because it was suspected that the resource Quantum were after was oil rather than water. We've since found out differently and the rumour subsided slightly, though nevertheless proved true, at least in part.

Also, MGW wants a three-year break to think about the next one. Sony might set a provisional date of 2010 for the next film, but the producers could pretty much do anything they wanted.

CM007 said he saw a screening in the "Daniel Craig interview with first film clips" thread. Didn't give much information, just said the movie was very Bourne.

It's not. If anything, Bourne is the poor-man's Bond. Honestly, the Moscow car chase was the only decent action scene in the three films. The Paris chase in the first one was pretty generic, and the New York chase was just a re-tread of Moscow.

He didn't give much information did he? Funny that... you know, you'd think that as one of the first people on the planet to see the film, and certainly the first person on this forum, he would maybe start a thread with his review of the film. Maybe he could include some details that would prove he'd seen it. Because he saw Casino Royale incredibly early too. And yet on both occasions, he goes into almost no detail about the film, while criticising it as "not a Bond film". How odd.

A thought just occurred to me: perhaps he's lying through his little attention seeking fanboy teeth :(

Things change there was a rumour the bond producers wanted a bond film in 2007 but that wound up coming undone. I'm hoping for one in 2010 and another in 2012 and honestly both being fleming titled as well (Risico and The Hildebrand Rarity?) but we'll see certanitly Quantum looks great :(

This is actually kinda funny now. Pretty much everything said about Bond, Camille, and Greene at the end is actually reversed in the final film.

Spoiler

Not that I'm at all surprised. Doesn't matter if he got some of it right. YOLT flat out LIED to everyone. It is safe to say this review was indeed 100% BULL[censored]!!!!

Clearing up the Yusef business I expect, and then about the fact that Bond "never left".

Sounds awesome. 'I never left.' A really rousing Bond moment. The gunbarrel after that will be a treat for sure. And it is hilarious how opposite this IMDB review is to the final film.

Doesn't De Niro say those same words at the end of RONIN? I know that the context is different, but it does seem a strange.... coincidence.

Nope, largely based on facts that we already knew, with some fabricated attempts at filling in the blanks in our knowledge.

And since this is a spoiler forum:

- how does Camille exit the film?

- does Bond quit at the end? (judging from the score CD he does not)

I think (and I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that Camille walks off into the distance at a train station in the Bolivian desert, and Bond does not quit.
