EMPIRE ONLINE:
With spectacle in abundance and sexiness in (supporting) parts, this is superhero filmmaking on an unprecedented scale. Rises may lack the surprise of Begins or the anarchy of Knight, but it makes up for that in pure emotion. A fitting epitaph for the hero Gotham deserves.

If anyone is tempted to read the Time Magazine review, I'd advise them against it, as it contains quite a few significant spoilers which aren't very subtly concealed.
Really? Glad I didn't. Their Avengers review achieved the same thing. Gave away the ending. They need to shake up their film review staff.

DECCAN CHRONICLE:
Christopher Nolan concludes his Batman trilogy in typically spectacular, ambitious fashion with The Dark Knight Rises, but the feeling of frustration and disappointment is unshakable.

I have some ideas about what could happen, but this is a Chris Nolan film so I'll leave them at the cinema door when I go in!

Kudos to these actors though, jetting around all the time, facing the press and answering similar questions...good job.

BUT in light of the the film just returned and didn't get to have my drink or snacks because 1) It was a little early to go eating so soon but 2) The film didn't let me go and I forgot I had them!
I wont spoil anything until we all get to witness this powerful, tense, emotional and brilliant end to the Batman trilogy from Chris Nolon - so here are my Pros and Cons (if any!) to chew over as I replay the film in my head...
PROS:
- Christian Bale was at his best as Batman in this finale - he is Bruce Wayne the icon and also the Batman legend.
- Anne Hathaway simpy smoulders with how gorgeous she is as Selina Kyle, and she owns the role.
- Tom Hardy is deadly and exceptional as Bane and thank god we've got him as a villain
- Fantastic support from the cast, and expecially from newcomers Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
- Eclipses 'The Dark Knight' IMO in terms of well paced narrative and story telling
- Tense, taught and exciting with brilliant action sequences and stunning visuals with haunting music by Hans Zimmer
- Batman vs Bane is a special moment for fans of great cinema, powerful action and die-hard Batman fans
CONS:
- Bane is sorley under-used, and I wish we could of had a bit more
- The ending could have used a little more....actually, no, it couldn't...it worked perfectly to end this interpretation. Ignore me.
....I can't THINK of any big cons at the minute apart from wanting more of Bane! I'll try forumalte something else, but I am so glad we've had this epic conclusion to this cinematic event!

Obviously too, it's clear this was pretty planned to coincide with the film events itself which is even more crazy, leading this maniac was taking the film too much to heart.
