I've just realised that the Indiana Jones comic (the one for kids) in the UK has just started to run the new Indiana Jones & the Tomb of the Gods comic: I've seen some pages and read some reviews and it's supposed to be absolutely cracking. Part 1 has been out in the US for a little while so I'm sure a few here have read it, but the comic is an easy way for us in the UK to get it.

I haven't bothered to check out INDIANA JONES AND THE TOMB OF THE GODS. I've heard good things, though. If I do check it out, it'll probably be when it's collected into paperback.

Tomb of the Gods is really good but the 2nd issue has been delayed till September 10th. I highly recommend Indiana Jones Adventures. It's a digest size comic from Dark Horse drawn in an animated style. I liked it even better then TotG.

Yes, I have ordered that! Unfortunately it's going to take a little while to come from the States, but it sounds fun! :(

This is a project I made ages ago.

Indiana Jones 4 - Jungle Chase (Rescored)

I've rescored the Jungle Chase from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The track fits perfectly and the timing is absoloutly perfect.

Hey, an Indiana Jones thread. If there is one person I like better than James Bond, its his son(because in my world Henry Sr. is James Bond >_>). The latest movie is definitely the weakest, but I still found myself having a lot of fun with it. The original trilogy are some of my favorite movies ever, with The Last Crusade being my second favorite movie EVER right behind Die Hard.

I'm gonna buy the new box set in Oct. Hope it's worth it because I wanted to buy KOTCS on Blu Ray. Does anyone know if the box set will be released on Blu Ray?

Cool to see you guys trying to work out some plot stuff for Indy 5. I really hope they make another one.

I think the Blu-Ray release isn't supposed to be far off. I'd wait for it.

I was a fan of the original paperback Indiana Jones books of the 90s, so I very excited to see they are starting them back up. Indiana Jones and the Army of the Dead in May 2009. :(

Before I first saw "KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL", I had made the mistake of assuming that it would be like the three preivous films - a homage to the serial adventures of the 1930s. Big mistake. You can't do a homage to 30s adventure serials in a movie set in 1957. And both Lucas and Spielberg knew that. Which is why "CRYSTAL SKULL" is in reality, a homage to the "B" movies of the 1950s. Someone explained this to me and I saw the light. I saw the light even more when I visited my local electronics/video store, in which the decorations' theme is also a homage to 1950s "B" flicks. Now, "CRYSTAL SKULL" is my third favorite Indy film and my third favorite movie of the summer. The only Indy film I like less is probably "LAST CRUSADE".

That's really logical. I never thought of it like that. Well, I can't wait to get it on DVD so I can watch it again.

Yup. And previous Indy author Rob MacGregor has confirmed that his novel, INDIANA JONES AND THE STAFF OF KINGS, will be out later that year too (to coincide with the release of the video game of the same name).

I tried one of the old novels a month or two back (.. and the Hollow Earth) and it was pretty bad stuff- didn't have much in the way of an Indy feel to it. Hope these new ones are better.

I said that previously, but now I will not be buying KOTCS. The series is a trilogy to me. I've seen it once, that is enough. KOTCS is just dire.

I will definitely be purchasing KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. I had a fun time watching it, and think the hate for it has been blown way out of proportion. The film simply isn't that bad (indeed, it sits comfortably in the quality range of TEMPLE and CRUSADE, which are both pretty sloppy films in their own right).

But even if I didn't like it, I'd still pick it up just for completion's sake. Heck, I own DIE ANOTHER DAY, don't I?
