Here's a review of John Williams' score. Sounds great, especially the bit about the entirely new addition to the RAIDERS march and the new developments on Marion's theme:

I saw a vastly aged-down promo poster of Harrison Ford at the grocery store last night...I like that he's making this(I was very anti Indy 4 for a long time) but he does look ridiculous as a merchinadising vehicle at his age, no? Anyone else agree?

Given how good he looks, I've never even thought about it.

Cor, thanks for that. I'm hugely excited at the prospect of a new Indy score and just made me more excited. I'd even somehow ignored the fact that of course Marion's theme will be back- love that one. And a new coda to the Raider's March? Time to wet one's pants.

I like the way Irina's theme is like an evil version's of Indy's- very nice indeed.
And there's a track called 'Ants!'- what more could you want?

Yeah - that line had me hooked as well. Cannot wait to hear the music for this one.

I'm looking forward to sitting down and listen to the score almost as much as I am looking forward to seeing the film!

I had the Temple of Doom score, but sadly I lost it  I still have the case but have no idea where the CD went.

I like the new tv spot for one reason, we finally get a glimpse at the ole Indy smile. I was thinking Ford had forgotten how to smile after seeing Firewall

My spoiler-free year continues with my having not seen any footage from the film or heard any rumors re the plot. Ditto with Iron Man. And, of course, QoS. Self-spoiler-immunization is tough to learn but worth it. The first serious big test will come Friday when the reviews appear for Iron Man. I plan to avoid buying the papers.

Back on track: I've had a great feeling about this Indy for the longest time, despite the cruel cracks here and there re Ford's age.

Not from my perspective. I can understand avoiding story spoilers, but to go to the extent avoid trailers just seems to sap all the enjoyment of waiting for a franchise film. Half the fun of an event movie, like INDY IV or THE DARK KNIGHT or QUANTUM OF SOLACE, is experiencing all the build-up.

Well, I am excited for WALL*E, which looks terrific... but I could take or leave HARRY POTTER and NARNIA looks awful.

Wall-E looks terrific visually? or story? and why do you say Narnia looks awful? I don't know anything about either so i'm only wondering why you're thinking that of Narnia.

I know i'll end up seeing both given my demographic so any insights would be welcome.

Both. All the footage I've seen from the film has been absolutely wonderful, and I'm inclined to believe it'll be the best Pixar film yet.

and why do you say Narnia looks awful?

Well, take into consideration I thought the first movie was poor. This one looks deathly dull and forgettable, despite a preposterous attempt to make it "dark" and "serious." All the supposedly awe-inspiring imagery looks cheap and uninteresting (a problem I had with the first film as well). Love the books, but these movies are quite weak.

That's like saying James Bond died off when Ian Fleming died in 1964...

It'd have to go a long, long way to be better than RATATOUILLE.

I think it has what it takes, though they're probably not meant for comparison (they're going to be very different films, after all).

Just watched Raiders for the first time in a while. Terrific film, everything in it clicks: acting, storyline, pacing, music, even the minor characters are great. Next up for me is my personal favorite of the trilogy...Temple of Doom

Incidentally, for anyone curious, I did find my ToD soundtrack CD, that made me happy.

Just saw the full trailer for KOTC on YouTube. See it while you can.

For myself, I'll say that I think it looks fantastic! I really hated LAST CRUSADE, and the first teaser left me a little cold. This is more like it!

New trailer (bootlegged, but good quality!):

Awesome stuff.

EDIT: I was beat to the punch. But still, it's a damn good trailer. Definitely the most exciting thing about this advertising campaign so far - gets the tone right-on. It feels like 100% Indiana Jones, with all the fun, excitement, and mystery I could ask for.

May 22 can't come soon enough!

Finally some Marion! I hope she is more prominent in the film then the advertising campaign. One of the most exciting things about Kingdom is having her back, so I hope they use her fully.

I think it's for the better than this trailer came so late in the piece; I don't think I'd be able to hold onto all this hype for too long. Can't believe this is just over 3 weeks off!

I'm actually sad it came so late... I don't think enough people will see it. Unlike the other trailer, this actually demonstrates that KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL has some real promise.

True, but positive hype can only help the film.

Seriously, awesome trailer, and it really doesnt give anything away. I was less than impressed with Marion's line in the trailer though, it appears as if Karen Allen has chosen to play Marion as a parody of her former self. Course I could be wrong, seeing as I'm basing my opinion on a few seconds of footage
