The only thing that is starting to spook me about this movie is how much all the advertising is featuring Shia as an equal element. I can understand how chicken [censored] marketers think they have to do this, but I just hope Shia is in check during the actual movie and isn't the Short Round of Indy IV.

What do you mean by Shia being the Short Round of INDY IV?

A non-stop jabbering distraction, that's what I mean.

(Maybe I should have said I hope he's not the Jinx of Indy 4. :D)

What do you mean by Shia being the Short Round of INDY IV? (Personally, I love Short Round. One of the most successful things about TEMPLE for me.)

Shia's got a huge role in INDY IV. He's going to be every bit as present as Short Round was in TEMPLE, and he's a bit more significant than that (being Indy's son and all).

It's really hard to say anything about Shia bing in as much advertising for Indy 4 as Ford because there has been no advertising yet. This is the first magazine cover I have seen featuring the movie and the teaser poster only shows Ford.

As for Shia being Indy's son, that is mearly speculation and rumor. In fact I think Ford denied that rumor in an interview a while back.

No, it's the real deal. I'm 100% confident of that, because I have absolute faith in some of the sources that have reported it. Every inside report with details that have been confirmed again and again notes him as his son, even the ones that reported his name as "Mutt" before the name was officially released.

In fact I think Ford denied that rumor in an interview a while back.

He didn't.

Ditto. She's one of the few actresses that never lets you down, in my opinion. Should be a mega highlight of the film.

The lighting in that picture is awful. Makes the whole set look like something from DisneyWorld. But it will undoubtedly look fine on film.

Well, it's probably a still photographer's shot showing the actual lighting used, which is no indication of how the film stock will be processed in post-production.

I wonder what trials or treasures lie in that temple. Judging from their facial expressions, it better be something good.

Surely the only advertising we've had so far doesn't involve Shia at all- the posters.
Vanity Fair isn't really a statement of intent as to how the film works and doesn't come direct from the makers- it's just a photo.

Well, just the presence of Shia, just like the presence of the young guy in Die Hard 4, shows the studio don't have any faith in a star reprising his role, apart from the bottom line sheets where all the money the DVDs made appears, they don't have any respect for old stars. I'm sure they would have been happy to just remake Raiders with Shia in the indy role.

Chud is reporting that the trailer will be released online on the 15th of February. Not sure how reliable chud is though.

I like Indy's new house. New house, but same old vibe. Nice to see some of the on-set photographs from past adventures make it in.

It's kind of surreal to be getting all this info on a new Indiana Jones film... it still doesn't feel quite real that it's all actaully happening. I don't think it will until I see the movie, which will hopefully be as good as we all want it to be.

Two new pictures, from Empire I beleive:

The RPG one looks a little goofy, but I dig the one with Blanchet. Ford looks great in that one; like Indy never left.
