I think the original coat and hat from the trilogy are in the smithsonium museum in NY(?).
There is a Smithsonian in New York?
I thought all of the Smithsonian museums were in Washington D.C. I know Rocky's boxing gloves are at one of the Washington D.C. Smithsonians.
What's funny is when tourists visit Washington D.C. they sometimes ask you "Where is the Smithsonian?" To which the reply is "Which one?"

Actually, Cabot, it is a different coat in each movie. After the first film, each successive coat was very similar in style, just with a few differentiations. If anyone is interested, here is some info: IndyGear

Hence the " (?)", I wasn't sure if it was in NY, I just assumed it was and I wasn't sure if it was the smithsonian...Just tried to convey that Ford donated the goods to a major museum.
The Smithsonian is in D.C. I went, but had heard a rumor that it is not one of the coats Ford wore, but one of the stuntmen.

Nice! I may have to get me one ASAP!!!! . btw, I'm on my 3rd brown leather Indy style coat since '85(if my stupid brother hadn't left my first Banana Republic jacket on a bar chair I'd still wear it. ). I bought a Andrew Marc leather coat a couple years ago at Nordstrom. It's really the closest to Indy's but it's also too heavy for mild cold. But check out Andrew Marc if you want a nice brown coat.

The Wested jacket is very thin. I was very surprised to see how thin it was when I got it. I got mine in 2002 and it is wonderful. Best coat I've ever owned. Always warm in the winter, and thin enough to wear year round. It really is marvelous. Is it tough? Just watch the movies. I haven't been dragged behind a truck, but I feel confident my coat would survive even if I didn't.
Now that this board has been hijacked into talk about apparel, we can get back to relevent information. My apologies.

Had to make a new poster with the fantastic new promo photos and here it is. I couldn't decide between blue or red so I did both. I have higher-quality PNG files that I'll upload as soon as I can.

[box]He told us why Stephen and Harrison Ford felt that now was the time to return to Indy. "It's kind of been out there in the air, but we never had the right script, and we kind of put it on the backburner and then back in 2000, we all went to the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award for Harrison. George and Harrison and Stephen and I and Kathy were all backstage all dressed up and we were looking at clips from the movies and we thought,

I always figured the Harrison-Jones relationship to be as deeply rooted as the Stallone-Balboa relationship. Some guys are just meant to play a role and when they slip into character it feels less like acting and closer to a second personality.Amazing poster. It feels like he never left.
I was amazed, yet not totally surprised, at how well Stallone slipped into Rocky Balboa after having not played the part for over 25 years (and polluting himself with a multitude of vulgar parts along the way). I expect no less from Harrison Ford as Indiana.
Cool poster.

Yeah, it is reminiscent of the Temple of Doom one. They've slightly changed the Indiana Jones logo, as well.
Yes; not too sure about that, myself. Not a massive issue, I suppose.

It's great to see a teaser poster.
Seriously, sorry Babs and Mickey, but Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is my must see movie of 2008.
