Where did you get that, Royal D? Personally, I think it sounds mighty bogus.
Especially when the talk of the Ark rears it's head.

Indiana Jones thief pleads guilty
One of the back stories mentions that the Indy producers took swift action when one of the actors leaked the plot to a paper in Okla.

Lego gives Indiana Jones plot clues:
New Indiana Jones Lego kits have given clues to the plot of the forthcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Lego fansite Brickset has revealed that there are four new sets called Jungle Duel, River Chase, Jungle Cutter and Temple of the Crystal Skull.
The discovery has fuelled rumours that the film will be based largely within the jungle and may have similarities to Raiders of the Lost Ark, with the Crystal Skull being placed within a temple.

I was very pressemistic about Indy 4 but now I know he won't embarrass himself(see:Bruce Willis) and as long as the story is worthy I will be one happy 80's raised geek. I just hope it's alot better than Indy 3...

Ford seems perfectly able to play the 56-years-old Dr. Jones of KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. Can't wait.

That last one is definitely the best. That one is killer. Then again, I love the Last Crusade, and I liked Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard. Go figure.

Re: Jacket: Maybe he replaced it...would you wear the same coat for 30+ years? In all that tropical and high elevation environments too...that thing was probably shot.

That seems incredibly unlikely, given the ending of KINGDOM OF CRYSTAL SKULL.I hope he makes another Indy set in the 60s and plays 65 next time(2010).

Nothing worth worrying about. The ending just makes it clear that it's meant to be a last hurrah for the character.*gulp*
please explain in spoiler tag?
Furthermore, the amount of time and debate it takes to get an Indiana Jones production off the ground also makes any further Indy sequel seem implausible. It took them how many years to get all three of them to agree on a script for INDY IV?

You're right, Cabot. He did have a different coat in each movie. The only thing was that it was made by the same outfitter every time. Time will tell, though. And you're right. A blonde James Bond! What will they think of next?
No, I don't think he changed coats in each film but perhaps after the 1940s he got a new one...I like to think in Africa, a Zulu or canibal tribesman stole it from him as he about to be boiled after being captured...etc.
OK that's cool...thanks Harms.

It never looked quite the same, anyway...
