What's the difference between the two logos, gobi? They look the same to me! :D

They're very different. The 'Indiana Jones' text is in a different font, for a start! That's the main issue- it's not exactly ruined, but I can't see the point.
Otherwise the space between the lines has been reduced, but that's not really a problem.

The font has been changed, but it's not such a change that anyone other than die-hards will no the difference. The fonts are nearly identitcal, after all. Interesting that they made the change, though.

Great poster. Far better than the more recent Bond ones.

That's my biggest problem is that there was no reason to change it. Especially since all the other KotCS logos on the official website and the t-shirts have the correct font.

As someone who appreciates film posters and makes fan art small details are very important to me. I complain not because I like too but because this is something that shouldn't have been screwed up in the first place.

This font has just come out of no where. I can't help but feel that the poster underwent some last minute changes before it was released. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll correct it.

The image itself is stunning.

Definitely odd they would change the font at the last minute but I love the poster. Makes me want to grab an Indy DVD off the shelf & start watching. :D

Nice poster, but I find the change of font disturbing.

I'm guessing, but perhaps there's a legal reason. Perhaps you can't trademark a logo which is just a commercially available font- they may have redrawn it to make a unique Indiana Jones logo. I don't know- they certainly don't appear to want to make it much different.

Yeah- I must say I thought the same as him about the patterns at the bottom- they are pretty clearly just repeated and faded out in photoshop, but that doesn't make it a bad poster. It's still eye-catching and it's still Indy: it works.

Funny how it's a poster which shows that the movie is a retro-style film harking back to the blockbusters of the 80's, and a series of which which were harking back to the adventure serials of the 40's! Double retro! :D

Amazing poster. It feels like he never left.

I always figured the Harrison-Jones relationship to be as deeply rooted as the Stallone-Balboa relationship. Some guys are just meant to play a role and when they slip into character it feels less like acting and closer to a second personality.

I was amazed, yet not totally surprised, at how well Stallone slipped into Rocky Balboa after having not played the part for over 25 years (and polluting himself with a multitude of vulgar parts along the way). I expect no less from Harrison Ford as Indiana.

Cool poster. :D

I agree.
But on a related note on certain actors and characters they're strongly related with i wonder why Harrison is so fond of Indiana but dislikes Han Solo so much.

The Indy logo is trademarked so that can't be it. This new logo look like a fan made free font where they make a few changes so as not to infringe on the copyrighted trademark font they're replicating. Why it's on an official poster I have no idea.

Thankfully somebody online added the correct logo to the teaser poster and I have that one printed and hanging on my wall, so I'm happy.

My point is that perhaps the old deal doesn't work for them anymore and they've decided they want total ownership or something. I've no idea.

I'm with you, Gobi, Sharpshooter, and the others that object. The poster if phenomenal, except for the font at the bottom. The color scheme for the bottom of the poster is what I like most, but that font was one of the first things I noticed. This is does not bode well, me thinks. It is essentially similar, but definitely different. If it ain't broke...

I really don't know how anybody could quickly notice a difference between it and the other logo without looking at them side-by-side. They're so near-identical!

Some people really need to start puberty....

"oh it's all wrong - it's all going to be bad - it's not the way it used to be..."?????

I'm personally quite bloody glad we've got a new Spielberg film that also happens to be a Indiana Jones pic. I don't know about others, but that's enough for me.

And here's some news for the Bond fans still left on this site....the next Bond film will change the colour of the gunbarrel blood. But I can't say to which shade of maroon....

The only thing that is starting to spook me about this movie is how much all the advertising is featuring Shia as an equal element. I can understand how chicken [censored] marketers think they have to do this, but I just hope Shia is in check during the actual movie and isn't the Short Round of Indy IV.

Does this movie have an original screenplay or is it based on a novel. Possibly this one?

What do you mean by Shia being the Short Round of INDY IV? (Personally, I love Short Round. One of the most successful things about TEMPLE for me.)

Shia's got a huge role in INDY IV. He's going to be every bit as present as Short Round was in TEMPLE, and he's a bit more significant than that (being Indy's son and all).
