As I understand it, the photo you linked to is actually from the art gallery sequence. His outfit looks different because it's got much dirtier from the chase but it is still the dark grey suit plus white shirt shown in the B-roll.

In addition to the very cool new YouTube video posted in another thread by danslittlefinger, a member of JamesBond-fr.com who lives in Siena has just posted new pics of the set:

Many thanks to him!

- there won't be any helicopters involved in the chase there: Guido Cerasuolo makes it clear that it's only for copyright and security reasons that flying over the set has been forbidden. The cables for the camera could be a security threat (not to mention papparazzi).
- filming will start on April 25th in the Fantiscritti quarry, but the staff is already busy preparing the set, in a dangerous and difficult environment
- On May 5th, the lord major of Carrara will host an international press conference

Which we've actually known for some time. I don't understand why so many people think that it's all one chase and therefore one sequence, all of which comes before the titles, evnafter we've been told on several occasions by the production crew that they're separate and that the PTS only consists of the car chase. The art gallery fight is indeed not in the pre-title sequence. Bond's pursuit of the MI6 traitor Mitchell through Siena (including the gallery) comes after the main titles.

So filing in Siena has been completed ? How fast in just a week
Well it looks like they may have constructed some rooftops at Pinewood from this:

Might be wrong.

The large building looks far too modern to be in Siena, but it could well be the exterior of the art gallery and the second, smaller building is the last rooftop Bond has to cross before entering it.So filing in Siena has been completed ? How fast in just a week

I wouldn't get my hopes up, especially since it's already been established the trailer will be with Hancock and not before. From reading the article, the press conference sounds a lot like the first one they had in Italy, about a week or two before the big one in Chile: more an update on filming, and largely for the Italian media.any idea what on earth the press confrence will be about. Perhaps they will release the trailer

I cant recall the last time EON called a press conference to release a trailer, especially since Sony are the ones who hold distribution rights. They've already said the trailer will be shipped with Hancock, and while it's unclear whether it's a teaser or theatrical trailer, they don't call press conferences just to show the trailer because it's a press conference. It's for the press! Trailers are for audiences, and while some journalists are probably going to see the film when it's released, they are not the audience. It's likely that this press conference is going to be a filming update with some more B-roll footage, kind of like the one that was held at the Paranal Observatory. I don't know why you're so convinced that EON will release a trailer when they don't have that power.Captain if i'm right i'm gonna tell ya told you so.

...but they won't be able to get anything until the race is run in June and again in August.
Actually July 2 and August 16 this year. I'll be in Siena in July, but not on the 2nd, unfortunately.

I suspected I might have been wrong on that date; Italian sporting carnivals was never my strongest subject at school. Thanks for the correction....but they won't be able to get anything until the race is run in June and again in August.

In this coverage by badtaste.it, apart some already known videos and pics, we learn that there are 6 doubles on set, and that there'll be about 50 cars involved in the big crash (dixit Cerasuolo).

Here's a podcast featuring an interview of Giorgio Robustelli, a manager of the Grand Hotel Du Lac e Du Parc, one of the hotels hosting the QoS crew on the shored of Lake Garda!
http://www.gardablog.it/?p=246
(in Italian)
Summary of the content
- he tells how important it is for his Hotel and for the Lake Garda district to host such an event
- he currently hosts about 100 crew members, some will stay for some weeks
- he explains that all the scenes filmed there are exterior scenes
- the crew leaves the Hotel very early in the morning, at about 4:30 or 5 in the morning to film in the early hours of the morning
- if there had been some opportunity, he would have been delighted to see some scenes filmed in his hotel, maybe a sentimental scene in one of the suites
Well, not the most interesting of news, I must admit...

MkB: as always you are the best! Thanx for this update, I think CBN can be proud of "Our Man in Siena" (not equating you with James Wormold of course...)
Thanks Kamran Shah!

However, I'm not exactly a "Man in Siena"... I'm more like an "International Woman of Mystery"

On the fifth photo, the line "Altagnana, where the police cars come from", makes me think that the black Alfa Romeo 159 seen on many pictures and videos on the shores of the Lake Garda might not be a police car, in fact. Earlier in this thread, we read that at some point of the chase, the villains call the police to chase Bond. So, if the lake Garda is the place where the case begins, it might well be too early for the police to come in? Unless the villains call the police immediately, and the police cars from Altagnana are only reinforcement, after the first Alfa 159 encoutered some "issues"?
Food for thought!
