If you probably noticed, the villains tried to kill bond with as less pain possible.
(Goldfinger's laser experiment, The World Is Not Enough neck-breaking scene... you get the point)

One is in From Russia With Love where Bond traps Rhoda's arm underneath the truck's hood. He then grabs Rhoda by the hair and has him at his mercy only to knock Rhoda out with a punch. Every time I see it, I want Bond to slam Rhoda's head onto the hood first.
The second one is in Casino Royale when Bond is recuperating and Mathis comes to visit him. Mathis hands Bond some medicine or water or whatever it is saying that he was asked to get Bond to take it. Soon after Mathis is zapped by a couple of MI6 men and taken away and Bond just sits there looking out over the lake and holding the cup of medicine/water. But since Bond clearly doesn't trust Mathis at this time, I keep wanting him to nonchalantly turn the cup over and dump the medicine/water onto the ground as Mathis is taken away.

A scene that immediately comes to mind that bugs me is in You Only Live Twice when Bond is watching the screen in his car and see's the car drop from the helicopter into the sea. The angle Bond is watching it from appears to be taken from the sky. Didn't know MI6 had cameras up there.
That scene always makes me smile.

Well we wouldn't want the "00" agents fighting over the microcameras in the locker room, now would we?The 007 digits wich can be seen in Bond's microcamera in Moonraker.

Very true! Again, this is another one that makes me smile. It's a bit like when people recognise Bond or welcome him to hotels "Ah, Mr Bond...!". As Sir Roger himself has said, what's the point of being a secret agent if everyone knows who you are..!!

The YOLT spaceship scene has the exact same problem.

LOL, yes that's right, as well as hilarious dialogue. "The front is opening up, repeat - the front is opening up!".

On Her Majesty's Secret Service: I have always loved the scenes atop the Swiss clinic and those international beauties. In the credits at the end they list about 12 girls by country they're from. And even though Ruby Bartlett is from Lancashire England,(at least I think that's England) they have a "England" girl, while the rest of the girls seem to be spread throughout the world, even if slightly more concentrated in Europe. Why 2 English girls?
And Miss Taro in Dr. No. She is supposed to be an asian woman but she just looks like a caucasian in asian make-up, and I don't really know why they did that that way. Also, all the other Bond girls had first names (or nicknames in the case of Mayday) and with Miss Taro there is no first name. And it seems so far that may be the case with Gemma Atterton - she is only mentioned as "agent Fields". I like to know what their first names are supposed to be.

You could say the same for a certain Miss Moneypenny.And Miss Taro in Dr. No. She is supposed to be an asian woman but she just looks like a caucasian in asian make-up, and I don't really know why they did that that way. I've always found Monica van der Zyl's dubbing in Thunderball awkward, as though she was too close to the mike or something; it's especially apparent when in scenes with Connery...LMAO!!! I'm sure they placed some intern on the microphone for that one.

How about that whole climactic fight on the disco in TB?
That one just about makes me dizzy! It's like watching the Keystone Cops or the Three Stooges.

Here's another irritation. Now this one is not isolated to the Bond films, but many films of the Connery era, where certain fight scenes or chase scenes were intentionally sped up. Perhaps they thought this gave the impression of added speed. In reality, it gives it more of a silent film era look. One example is in GF, where Bond is escaping in the Aston, several shots are sped up.
Well, that's Peter Hunt for you...

Yes it does, but where are the cameras coming from? They show side views of Blofeld's spaceship heading toward the US spaceship. What do they have, a second spaceship following the main spaceship? I never understood that!

Yes, but the Thunderball finale and the Die Another Day "speed ramp" car chase both take the cake for cheapness, though kind of interesting to watch at the same time. Both of these examples make it easy to determine the era they were made since like you said, many movies used the same techniques.
I can also add OHMSS to the list of Bond movies that sped a lot of scenes up.

It might just be me, but I've always found the stealth boat to be very badly proportioned. By that I mean what it looks like from the outside doesn't quite seem to be the right shape for how it looks inside. It also seems much bigger on the inside.

It must have been designed by a Time Lord...

Surprised they didn't bring Andy Gray in to do the commentary.

1. Every single appearance of the actor playing Felix Leiter in GF;
2. Whistling midgets and "this never happened to the other fellow" in OHMSS (I hate breaking the fourth wall in a Bond film that actually can be taken seriously);
3. Jet Pack in TB (yes it's cool but what "secret agent" escapes by flying over Paris);
4. Jaws (giant irritation);
5. Volcano lairs, spaceship eating spaceships and submarine eating ships;
6. "you've just killed James Bond" in DAF;
7. Bond forgetting his wife's been murdered in DAF;
8. Charles Gray as Blofeld; and
9. Roger Moore

Here's one that I don't think anybody has mentioned.. Die Another Day.. the shot of the missle being lunched to destroy Icarus..instead of filming a new shot, they were lazy and ripped off the shot from Tomorrow Never Dies. Sheesh!!
Just goes to show how much there is in Die Another Day to rag on.

Wasn't that the Tomorrow Never Dies "homage"? (pronounced 'ommidge)
