Also, the 24: EXILE trailer, complete with proper voice-over, was shown at Comic Con. A recording from the crowd can be seen here - you've got to love the crowd reactions!

Casting news-Rory Cochrane (Speed on CSI Miami) is in the cast, and Kurtwood Smith (Clarence Boddiker, Red Foreman, Long white haired President in Star Trek 6, and a lot of other cool characters) will be in 6 episodes. His nickname is Senator Red.

If you love Jack and the classic show, steer cleer of Sutherland's new flick, MIRRORS. I'm deeply saddened to say that the ending was simply too funny to bear:
Keifer Sutherland--Jack Blinkin' Bauer!!!--battles to the death with...are you ready... a shizoid, possessed SEVENTY-YEAR-OLD nun!!!!!!!
I'm going home now to have a good cry.

Yeah Kurtwood Smith appeared in the original Season 7 trailer from last year. Have you noticed that just about all the major players from Robocop have appeared on 24?
Peter Weller played the villain Christopher Henderson in S6
Ray Wise appeared as the vice president in S5
"Emil" aka toxic waste guy played Jack's brother
Miguel Ferrer should be available too...he was in Bionic Woman but that's been canned.

Sorry to hear. I saw a trailer for it & it didn't look too good. Hopefully, that ending was a casualty of the writers strike. My dear fellow fans.. fellow freaks for 24...let us pray today for Bauer, who faced his most deadly opponent--and lost.

In other news, real-life US Navy SEALs will be used to film an action sequence in the upcoming Season 7.

Word on the street is that Kim Bauer will be making an appearance in the new season, with a baby on her arm. What will Grandpa Jack make of this!
Dammit!

Eugh, I also read this news, and apparently Kim will be returning towards the end of the season.NOOOO!!!Word on the street is that Kim Bauer will be making an appearance in the new season,
Also, the upcoming Season Seven prequel has changed it's title for some reason. Instead of 24: EXILE, it is now 24: REDEMPTION.

I love 24. But I´m afraid that they can only repeat themselves with this format after seven seasons. Fox should stop milking the formula and end it with style.
Didn't they say that about Bond?

Well, sure. And then Bond had to shake things up. And even that's coming towards the end of its rope (I've been calling for Bond to close up shop after the Craig era).Didn't they say that about Bond?I love 24. Either 24 needs to drastically shake things up or call it a day. 'Cause its basic formula is feeling more than a little tired.

Boom-tish.Either 24 needs to drastically shake things up or call it a day.
To be honest, 24 is such a gimmicky show that I was surprised to see it renewed for a second season, let alone a third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and who knows beyond.
Most of the seasons have proven entertaining (while the third disappointed slightly, the fifth achieved an epic height) until the sixth season, which (despite a promising opening quartet of episodes) very nearly drove the show into the ground.
My hope is for the seventh season to deliver us something new and different, but I'm not convinced that's the case by what I've heard. If anything, I'm more excited about the Africa-set 24: Redemption than I am about the seventh season.
